Thank you this was was so informative and eye opening. Thank you Mr&Mrs Malovhele may the Lord Jesus Christ bless you. Thando this Makoti conversations are helping a lot as. hoping to start navigating my rocky in-laws relationship with a different perspective.
May God help you, if I won with mine? By not fighting necessarily a physical battle but a spiritual battle and by mostly choosing me knowing how I want and desire to be treated without of course disrespecting anyone. I know you also can and you will in Jesus name. 🙏🏾❤️
My late mom struggled with my grandma....she did everything right but it was never enough. But she was an amazing MIL and I honestly believe that its precisely because of that I found myself with wonderful MILs (in both marriages). I pray my daughters will be treated well too by their inlaws. The notion that you are "her daughter" makes things smoother🙏
It's so difficult though for most mothers inlaw to reason in that sense and apply that notion without judgement as Makoti. There's so many things that are seemingly expected but not communicated from Makoti's hence we end up feeling like we're not enough.
This was eye-opening. I am thankful for this installment. There's so much to take away from this conversation: definitely learning and unlearning so much. God bless and may this platform continue to grow.
Thank you so much for the well wishes sis. Please do share with those who may be interested in this series so they Learn, Unlearn, Relearn, mature and grow. We're all going somewhere, and we're gonna get there one day with our Inlaws-Makoti relationship. I believe this with all my heart. ❤
I've been married for 8 years. I've never tried to impress any inlaw and still don't. I treat you exactly how you treat me and adress things immediately. I am happily married and we understand and respect each other.
Powerful, this is so beautiful. I appreciate the fact that you clearly have reasonable, sobe inlaws who don't see your assertiveness as disrespect but honor because you don't keep quiet when unhappy. I wish 80% of Inlaws can get to the level your inlaws are at. Bless you Ma'm.
