    It’s not the first time I hear you talk about step father, however I always shed a tear when you talk about him. I’m just happy for you I grew up with both my parents in the same house & will not shy away to say house not home.

    I absolutely enjoyed this conversation. There truly is no substitute for life experience and we, as the younger generation can learn so much from our elders. The part about understanding yourself and looking within to decide who you are in spite of all the influences and pressures - wow! Ive watched the episode twice now. Its truly impactful. Thank you Ntate for gems.

    Violence was everywhere when we were growing up, ubethwa eskolweni, ubethwa eNext door or by any elder estratweni and then nasekhaya, respect wasn't earned it was taken, hence this just got out of hand, when you feel disrespected you turn to violence. We need new ways of dealing with this kind of issue

      We suffered when we were young. They beat you at school, you try to report that at home and you get beaten because they beat you at school. We had nowhere to run when we had issues and just suffer inside.

    Honestly where we grew up as children and " ho shapa" was the way to discipline, to sort out things or show out anger, made people to believe thats how issues are solved.
    I dont believe its about being jealousy or insecurities.
    This is about culture that has to be cancelled.

    What an intelligent conversation! Sello understands the depth and multifaceted nature of gender based violence. And he's right, until we are willing to have real and honest conversations about it, we're far from winning the battle. Interesting that you have considered going into politics. If you happen to read this comment, I'm curious about what your thoughts are regarding Ngugi wa Thiongo's argument regarding art and politics in his book, "Penpoints, Gunpoints, and Dreams." And Augusto Boal"s understanding of representation both in theatre and politics. Truly enjoyed the conversation. And I agree acting is a metaphor for life!😊

    I dare revolutionaries to be as ruthless, opportunistic and self interested as the “west”. All that Floyd is saying may be true, however, you lose nothing by working with, and being friendly with everyone. Small economy, small population, it would make sense to base your relationships on what best serves your interests at any given time. Wasn’t that the point of straddling a mid-line, to extract maximum benefit from everyone?

  • @mbusoshezi5792
    @mbusoshezi5792 7 днів тому

    I'm sure it must have been difficult to do this interview, i think more than anything he just wanted to talk about acting, he ignored most of the questions and diverted the conversation to acting and i think there is huge part of him that does not want to take responsibility for his abusive behavior. He believes that his victims wronged him hence he behaved the way he did. When asked if he is ashamed of his deeds, he says he sleeps very well at night, i am no psychologist but he comes across as a narcist.
