YAAAAS MY FAVORITE EGYPTOLOGIST!!!!!!
Egyptian dads were like, “F*ck your inheritance, boy. I'm taking my beer pots and make-up rock with me.”
“They were people very much like us”
“They drew pictures for a reason, maybe magic to influence the hunt, we can only guess”
We make art for art’s sake. We draw because we like to and if we’re good at it we get compliments. Even if nobody sees our art we can’t not paint or draw. What people see in it can be totally different from person to person and day to day.
The most logical reason why someone drew on the rocks: they could. They were good at it.
That and to tell a tale. To say we was here and these are some of the things in our daily lives and that we like.
I second that.
Art was seen as having strict social function in ancient Egypt. Hence the strict guidelines on how to present art over its 3000 years history
Ever seen witches paint runes? Of course it can also be art for magic or some kind of showing off accomplishments. It wasn’t just for fun in most cases
They are not they are North Africas Europeans lived in caves like animals savages.
Brand new Egyptian find on UA-cam! This is a gem right here.
I recently went to the museum of fine arts Boston MA and saw the sculpture of King Menkaura (Mycerinus) and queen, amazing art work
The square shaft, at 22:07, without any shoring seems a bit hazardous.
Love ancient history documentaries… do we need another channel to share the exact same videos as Timeline, Odyssey,
chronicle channels. Just worried about clicks over content these days it seems
Oh I love your documentaries I saw so many 😊
you are just fantastic thank you so much
Joann, you covered almost everything, but where is the kings house, we would like to see inside it.
Dheare a no kings in dhat time but Faraohs projects . Everiting displayed in Egypt what we see today is science for creation of our world including great piramides .
I cant imagine how much history is under that sand waiting to be discovered.
Europeans stay out of North Africa and Middle East. Civilization started in those areas while europeans lived in caves like savages and animals
Earth tilt 10,000 years ago ? Are you referring to the gradual precession change ?
No.
..jK
The earth used to be ^straight^, then 4 some reason - a big asteroid, er something like that.. The earth tilted a bit °~°
..? F.ed_uP everything
Ditto!
I have always wondered if they had elephants.
“Death is only the beginning.” -The Mummy. 😉
Could you imagine if a pyramid was a motel/hotel with hundreds of rooms? Like rooms for the living not for the dead.
One was made specifically as such in Tenesse. Its now a Sporting goods store I think. It failed as a hotel
Came here from odyssey channel 👍
Me too 😊
Same 😊
@@maryannward443,

Goodness me, What a lot of supposition

The final resting place? Your opening phrase may not necessarily correct, unless we discover the resting place somewhere else in this edifice?
There was no Egypt when the Napta Playa "calendar" was constructed, so technically or historically it wasn't constructed by Egyptians!
Precession was described brilliantly wrong here.
Some of those carvings look like they were scratched in there a week ago by children... I ain't sayin' you been had, but...
3 am LETS GOOOOOO
Odyssey sent me to this channel
I got to "Final resting place of King Khufu" - not even a minute in.
No mummy or sarcophagus has ever been found in ANY of the pyramids.
Cant watch this tripe.
You lost me when you said it was a tomb...
I know… it’s not like you’d find a sarcophagus in the great pyramid if it was a tomb or anything.
Why cant she call it a tomb?
Isnt the word used in that way, as in a space thats been closed off?
Tell me what it is then. Sincerely just interested
@@Chenihal you really don’t want to open this can of worms. If I were you I’d listen to an Egyptologist rather than a sweaty palmed mouth breathing conspiracy nut on the internet
How so? there is an enormous amount of material culture evidence indicating they are in fact tombs.
Still sticking with the pyramid is a tomb, huh? Lol

Clark Gable. Lady get a grip of yourself.
So why did you watch it.Many Think is a good video from a lady who knows her history of Egypt,,, move on critics and trolls…
When speaking about Egypt in antiquity the original name was Kemet. How come she the narrator never mentions that fact?
Who, me?
I dont understand this, she is speaking english, why would she call it something else?
@@paulannable3734 not you, the red-head woman who is the expert and does the narration
@@carolsolomon6916 She is an Egyptology. And the Country is called 'Egypt'. So....
So old

This is irritating... This video is cobbled together from several other videos. Regurgited & recycled... Nothing new here at all. 👎
Only four thousand years huh? And it's a tomb but it doesn't have any hieroglyphs? Interesting. And this so-called tomb was built within the lifetime of the Pharaoh with only copper chisels? 🤔
Why is Art Nouveau not Art Deco? I find it suspect
Your lack of education on this topic in no way is an indication that those are not tombs that were built 4500 years ago utilizing both stone and copper tools. ;)
Interesting, but I'm sure that even the creators of this documentary must realize that it's full of false information. I guess following the script of the Ministery of State for Antiquities Affairs of Egypt is the base requirement these days to even get access to the country at all...we certainly couldn't have real information (even though it's all mostly guesses anyway) floating around out there or alternative views that happen to make more sense than the established narrative.
I had the expectation this was going to be incorrect and not contain anything ground breaking when the opening line they give us is that the great pyramids were tombs -- it doesn't take a scholar to know that they were never tombs and weren't even constructed by the Egyptians. They were inherited/found structures that were later mimicked (to an extremely inferior degree, since most people don't realize Egypt has something like 120 discovered pyramids and they're all junk in comparison to the ones in Giza). Anyway, I'm not going to write an essay here outlining the whole show and where they went wrong, most will know haha Cheers!
Your total lack of education on this topic is astoundingly evident in your comment. Just note you are just repeating evidence-less pseudo-historical interpretations that are patently false.
