There are two sides. Honestly, take Conchata Ferrell, who would have wanted a skinny version of her as Bertha? Otoh, would she still be alive if she lost weight, and if so, since she never became Bertha, wouldn’t she be just poor and unknown?
The guy is a huge inspiration to someone like me. I'm 6'9" and weighing in at a whopping 430 lbs... I hope some day before I die I can find a way to drop the pounds like he did. I have no idea how to eat correctly, how to exercise correctly, what regimen to follow or anything like that for someone of my size. I just know he inspires me to at least want to do better. Depression has had such a tight hold on me for so long I damn near forgot what it's like to feel inspired. Ethan has my respect.
The extremes of yo-yo dieting are dangerous. Careful with any drastic changes without consulting a doctor, qualified nutritionist, and certified trainer. However, if the doctor, nutritionist, or trainer seem like bs then don't be afraid to get second opinions.
If he is your inspiration you should go follow all of his socials and watch his podcast. I’m sure he shares or will share what he is doing and maybe you can follow along with him. That way the person who is inspiring you is doing it “with you” in a sense!
Try plant based eating and watch "Forks over Knives" and "What the Health" on Netflix for inspiration. Those documentaries have changed and inspired a lot of people. Good luck!
He's ready for the MCU/DCEU. He has a strong acting background, so he can hold his own along side the other actors. I don't know who, but he can play someone.

It actually isn't all that rare if you are the go-to guy for a certain type-cast role. In his case, likely the go-to decent fat-guy. For actor like him, they have to reestablished a new image. I think the actor David Blue also falls into this category. He lose weight and the current him wouldn't have been suited for his past roles in either Ugly Betty or SG.Universe, not to mention he looks more charming having a bit of weight on him if you compare his before and after.
As a fitness Instructor and ex body builder, I find experiences like this truly inspiring and get such a buzz watching or reading about them.. It really just takes the right reasons and willpower and you can take yourself to places you'd never imagine within yourself. A true inspiration and Champion.. 👍🏻

Food is so good, so plentiful and so cheap here that I'm amazed we are not all obese. Even our jobs have switched from labor intensive to sitting at a desk, which works against our quest for fitness. All I know is that I have to work out hard, walk long and say no to so many delicious things to maintain just the "small" spare tire I carry around. It's always a struggle - just missing a couple of days and I notice it. Stay strong.

My grandson is being bullied about his weight among other things,we tell him how smart and beautiful he is but nothing seems to help.
