I just got done watching a movie that for some reason really put me in a place of doubt. This comment and reminder of what matters really helped. Thank you🤍
Agree to what you said about knowing every purpose of each thing/item and some that gives us joy. Happiness doesn't revolve on money alone, but on moments we create. ❤
You're helping me more than you know. This entire discussion doesn't necessarily have to do with money, For me it is the manner in which I am living, with a person I need gone. Thank you.
I am so glad that it has been providing value! I find often with money it actually has far less to do with money itself and far more with the other aspects in one’s life. I really appreciate you reaching out and I hope all is well🤍
@@DamonCassidy All is well. You are right; money is really a minor issue in a man's life. BTW I'd be pretty hyped to voice talk with you someday. You have a certain 'calm wisdom' about you.
@@DamonCassidy Belay that last comment about failing to complete the payment. It was a fraud-prevention lock. I cleared it and you should have a few bucks from me. Looking forward to connecting. I actually think we can both teach one another a few things.
I definitely can agree in asking yourself what the purpose of that thing you're buying is. In the mall I've had several instances where I was sooo tempted to buy something, but whenever I ask myself why I'm buying it, normally my answer would be "but I already have something for that purpose" so it kinda conditions my mind to decide that I don't really need to buy the new one. I think once you train yourself to think that way, it'll be easier to practice it more and more in the future.
I agree. I think money is a difficult subject for most people to want to talk about, it is very hush hush. Which is weird as it’s what 99% of people are living their lives for
11:46 I agree 100%, money is just a tool and we shouldn't spend money left and right just because it's fun to do so... I think the biggest issue is your purpose in life. It's difficult especially if you have many skills, and interests to decide to work on 1 specific life goal. I personally have this issue haha, once you establish and start committing to your purpose to will be more or less and naturally you will try to spend money on products/things that will help you reach your goals
Ohh interesting! I had never thought about spending more money towards a purpose but you’re spot on! Great point! For the purpose aspect I used to put a lot of pressure on choosing one thing but now I’m starting to think it as a basket and I can put other components and things I am interested in into the basket in a way that it can further develop the purpose. It seems to be working for me so far but idk just a way I’m working on that aspect.
@@DamonCassidy I think spending money on your purpose can become repetitive, you will burn out within few months, however you can manage it if you take breaks
Haha the Lord of the Rings analogy is really good, don't be a Gollum be alpha male Bilbo Baggins, and save yourself from the temptation of spending money with no purpose. In my opinion, exploring/traveling with a limited budget is the best part I recently went camping for a day with friends. It was so exhausting but for the amount of money we put in it was worth it. Once I came back I was so fatigued that I went to sleep almost right away,. It was the best sleep I had in a long time, 16 HOURS OF SLEEP XDDDDD
Man I am jealous of that sleep!! But you’re absolutely right! We went to New York for the new years and it was costly but all the fun ways we got creative to save money and experience it was a blast! Love alpha male bilbo! That is a dangerous final boss hahah
@@DamonCassidy Sometimes it's good to for the first time. I think that's the main reason why people are so nostalgic over their childhood memories because we experienced many things for the first time not knowing that in a few years we will become adults. Perhaps we should do things that we never did to create memorable memories?. Bilbo Baggins would be a great final boss, he would probably knock you out, stealing all your equipment, and when you come back to life using your spare life you would realize Bilbo is armed to the teeth and has stolen your inventory XD
@@HouseofCaesar I think it’s very similar to when people say never stop learning! I believe a part of that may be never stop experiencing new things. I feel like very quickly as we get older we stop wanting to try new things
Damon, another great video! Keep it up. You seem to take the same approach to creating content as you do to budgeting by making sure what you invest your time in provides value. This attitude will serve you well.
Michael, thank you for reaching out. You’re absolutely right, I very much care about what I put out provides value. I am very appreciative of the time you all spend watching these videos so it’s top priority it is providing value in some way. I hope all is well!
Okay so I like your video....but wherever you are looking at the camera makes it look like you are not looking directly at it but past it and it's distracting... just a little feedback so your channel can keep growing!
Great feedback! I am filming in front of a window and I think I am looking outside quite a bit so thank you for bringing that to my attention! I really appreciate it
Excellent video as always Damon ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ we need to differentiate between luxury spendings vs necessary expenses and I agree that money is just a tool. We have to think twice before we buy which I don’t do much 😐 and I’m practicing this now 😊
Hey YUKi! Thank you for your kind words as always! Want vs need is a very powerful way to differentiate between a purchase. It is so important to constantly evolve, even now I still need to pause before a purchase. I am so happy to hear about the progress you’re making! I hope all is well🤍
So so happy to hear you bring up theme of “scarcity mindset” Yes! This needs addressed in the majority of us badly.
So very zen and calming listening and watching your brilliant videos Damon, keep up the great work mate 👏✅
I am so glad you enjoyed it! I really appreciate your kind words🤍

I'm always surprised by how many parents either don't or can't teach children about money and finances.

Great tips and style. Having that mindset of saving at a young age, even if it's just £1/$1 it's a good start to life.

I'd recommend leather shoes that can be maintained and repaired. They last 10 years. Not this fabric/rubber junk.
