Regarding the packaging, I really don't mind that it doesn't come in a fancy wooden box. They do sell it separately for when you do want it. Love how the BlueBerry has finally made a comeback. I missed out big time the moment I finally had the cash to go highend.
JZ microphones are fabulous. Now I only use mine on any source. Even Mick Jagger use one for his last recording. You can find the video on UA-cam. And JZ people are really nice and answer fast to the mails. A long life to JZ !
Good video! I don’t hear any difference between the two mics but that’s probably me. And this is from a person that owns too many mics already… 😅 aah the programmed drums… I would do them different and I could! because of HPs 🥁 programming course 👍 Thank you HP for all the valuable information that we gather from you over the years😊
I couldn't barely hear a difference between the Lewitt and the Bottle if at all. But here I cannot make out any difference whatsoever. Great comparison though. And great performance from Rafael. Thx Henning
Actually, they may sound similar, but JZ BB29 has some harshness in the upper end, which is not the case with the BlueBerry. Don 't get me wrong... I am a fan of JZ mics, I have 2 of them already and use them a lot. But if you can't tell the difference, perhaps you should upgrade you phones or speakers. With my headphones on, I could even understand blindly in the comparison when you changed takes. And this is UA-cam, mind you...
No clue what you are hearing... I recorded this and checked it with high end speakers from the original files... there was zero difference... it's the same mic, so there really can't be.
@@EytschPi42 Maybe it's the case... the Blue being metal transfers the dynamics... the JZ being plastic dampens the dynamics. I love your channel by the way.
@@EytschPi42 I hear a distinct difference between the two on my shitty 1990s mono computer speaker. Blue sounds warmer. JZ sounds like someone put a high pass filter on it. And my ears are crap. I heard almost no difference between 10" and 12" speaker for my amp. But here the difference is quite noticeable, even to me. How can it be there would be no difference on high end speakers, but noticeable difference on crappy ones?
Great mic to add to any home studio collection. Thanks Henning!
Love your channel. Really appreciate all the work you and your Team, make YT so much more enjoyable.

Unprocessed the blue sounded slightly fuller and warmer to me but no diff in the mix.
James labrie? Excellent videos, like always, greetings from chile
Cool capsule light!

The BB seems to be slightly sparklier in the highs - but that could also be an age thing since the blue has been used for some years.
Still a lot of Blueberries available on the used market. What would be your preference between a used Blueberry and a new JZ?
Sound wise they are the same… I do like the feel of the hardware from the blueberry better, but the results will be the same
I remember you also had a big blue barrel condensor microphone, until you embraced Lewitt, am I correct?
correct... I still have the BLUE BOTTLE, but I will sell that now
Hi Henning, do you have any experience with the beyerdynamic m160?

6:35 I see, you have the bigger and girthier one.
To me the JZ is like a 250k pot on a humbucker, and the Blue is like a 500k pot on a humbucker.
