    Join us on a dual landscaping adventure! We're transforming a blank canvas into a charming backyard oasis at Rob's family farm in South Carolina. And then we're back at the mountain house to add a few trees to our landscaping. Quite the busy weekend, but wouldn't have it any other way. -T&R

    It was absolutely wonderful to see your family and their homes, which are beautiful. Great landscaping and planting. Family made memories. Sorry about your wrist, Rob. Been there only worse. Fell in my garden 2011, hit my elbow on the very top of a cast iron lawn chair. It would have been better if I broke it. No break but total dislocation and torn veins nerves and ligaments. The surgeon expected I would lose it and not get the use back, BUT I DID!
    Love your new plant and tree selection. Too bad about your plants, but those derr and fawn and bunny are so adorable. Yeah, salad buffet at Todd and Rob's, y'all come now, ya hear!
    Get some rest and give Wally a big hug from me. If you guys lived close to us, we would adopt you all! ❤

    Well T&R (R&F) were at it again with their "dirt" therapy. But in such heat and more rocky soil, real troopers for a cause (helping family). Sorry there was an injury. I do hope you heal fast and thoroughly. It turned out to be a wonderful looking landscape and transformation. There was no doubt with you two around. Keep yourselves safe and thank you for sharing more of your Southern Hospitality! I like Weeping Willows too btw! Good choice!

Thank you for taking us to your parent's farm and to see all the beautiful plantings your Mom did. I can tell where you get your green thumb from. (And Todd's too!) Love South Carolina and all the beautiful scenery. We've been in the high 90's with high humidity in NJ too. So If feel for you. Your work is actually so creative and beautiful. I love the people of the South as I have many friends from my college days, but if I could escape the awful humid and hot weather of July/August, I would do so. Thank God for air conditioning! Mr Wally makes a wonderful supervisor of your landscaping work. Sorry that the bunnies/deer ate some of your plantings but everything still looks so welcoming and very beautiful as your labor has not been in vain. Your task is now to REST UP as you both did the work of several men with strong backs!

    Hey T&R! Your hard work brings impressive results every time. Everything you touch, quickly becomes worthy of admiration. But nature likes to be admired endessly and this automatically turns her on. Rob, your hand also requires more care to heal faster because it is needed. Perhaps you two should start your own landscaping business - May calling it" Happy & Hot Horculture Husbands" or maybe "Rob and Son Plant Diggers". Project ended up looking great!!!!

    sprained is horrible pain, doc says it can be just as worse as a break, I tripped fell out of trailer and sprained both ankles at a time, took month and half to be able to walk without pain... but water fights are fun.. lol

    The weeping willow will suck all of the water out of the soil as it grows. Also, do not plant it near your house as it becomes brittle in storms and is subject to breaking. Your plants around it may not survive. You sister would be wise to put in walking pavers in that gravel to give a more solid walkway to the chairs. I enjoyed your video. 🏳‍🌈

      Thanks for the tips. It's planted around other small perennials and dwarf evergreens for now. And yes, we intended to do pavers but ran out of time for this phase. We'll be adding those soon. Thanks for watching!

    Hey there guys ,,,why is Wally always kept inside ?..

    • @toddandrob
      @toddandrob  6 місяців тому +1

      Howdy! Wally's usually inside when we're working outside during the summer because it's been so hot. But he gets a lot of walks around the woods and while at Rob's sister's house, he definitely enjoyed his time running around outside with her dogs.

    A roof over part of your deck could be nice to sit under during rainy days or sunny afternoons.. Too bad about the deer damage, but probably something you'll have to tolerate.

      @toddandrob  6 місяців тому +1

      We do have a side area on the porch with a roof, but we just don't sit on that side as much. One day we dream of turning it into a sunroom type place. 🤞

    You forgot to plant Thai chilies, jalapeños, lillies and citronella. The deer, rabbits don't like the smell nor taste of them.

    • @toddandrob
      @toddandrob  6 місяців тому +1

      We have citronella on our porch. In the garden, we had chives and garlic planted amongst the lavender and rosemary. They breezed right past those on the way to the annuals. 🙃

    • @marktitus8516
      @marktitus8516 6 місяців тому

      @toddandrob now grab some different types of chilies and lillies. I know my Japanese peace lillies produce beautiful purple, blue and green flowers. They grow up to 4 to 5 feet tall once established. Deer have never eaten them and bloom from may until late August

    It’s a shame the deer wrecked all the beautiful plants you guys planted. Everything was growing so wonderfully. What you need it two outside yard dogs that will chase the deer away. They can actually be trained to guard just the perimeter without going into the wooded areas. Just a thought.

    • @toddandrob

      Luckily it was only some of the annuals. But we are trying some new spray on what's left and it's been working so far! Thanks for tuning in!
