It really surprised me that you guys think that's a lot of snow? That's like a mild snow day for many of us and imagine if that was just the start of the snow fall, day after day after day! Lol or worse some of us get that in a few hours and when you get a forecast of 12 or 14 inches then it's like time to get the snowblower out etc... And when we're really lucky you lose power for days at a time and the utility company says restoration is undetermined, it's like, here we go again! had that on the 29th of Dec until New years night this year.... enjoy it b/c it makes you slow down and be prepared for the next time without computers, TV, and finding ways to feed your family without a stove or microwave etc.

I still can't believe you guys don't have a generator. With as many hurricanes that come through Florida, it's the best 5,000 you'll ever spend to just put a generator right on your house they can build them into the home now. The fact that your remote like that I think it would be advantageous. You're extremely lucky I know people in the Carolinas that still are displaced.

The only thing that would have made it better would be to have a hot tub to get into.

A cabin that expensive and you don't have a generator? They make them integrated into the infrastructure now. Not only for snow but thunder showers and inclement weather. I think that would be a very wise investment

Like always a great video. I recall the days at a cabin in West Virginia sitting on the deck with the heating blankets plugged in and over us . Sit out there for hours.

Snowed in? LOL What is there 2 maybe 3 inches of snow? Make a video when there's 12 to 16 inches of snow then you can talk about being snowed in stop exaggerating.

Loving your deck fire pit! Did it come with the cover? And is it easy to move? Perhaps on casters? I have learned to reposition deck items to make it easier to clear the deck and help reduce the ice that builds up. [Besides your snow shovel, you might consider adding a steel ice chipper/chopper to your tool collection. I use mine to clear any build up of ice especially around the car. Although a bit tall/long, it has more than once been a life savor when moving outside, especially on a hillside.]

That must have been the snow storm that we had starting on the 17th of January. Here in NW-NC it's been so cold before and after the storm that we still have snow laying around and it's the 26th. Saturday was the first time are high went above freezing and tomorrow the 27th will be the first time our low doesn't go below freezing. I'm ready for 70 and spring.

Get that puppy off the leash and he will worry more about where you are than running away. He is family and deserves the same freedom.
