I love Leopardstars and Mistyfoots relationship in this M.A.P. It just shows that when we fight together, we can do anything. Leopardstar wasn't the best leader, she did a horrible thing, but still tried to not give up, even in the Fourth apprentice when Riverclan had big problems. She always wanted to fight for her clan and friends, and I love it! Even if she was rude she had a point.
Yeah she had little remorse for her bad actions. She seemed to only be there for conflict when Shadowclan was busy with... uh... prey and stuff. Map is fire though!
I don't know why, but there was always something that I loved about LeopardStar and this MAP is a perfect reason to! She's such an underrated leader! Amazing work from everyone 🥺🥺💓💓💓
Honestly I love the subtext with her story, it takes a lot of sad turns. Like she grew up without a mom so the rest of the clan doted on her and she became their golden child, and her life was happy and tranquil for the most part, but then Oakheart died and the clan overestimated her abilities and she was honestly forced into a position she wasn't anywhere near ready for (not only being Oakheart's successor but Crookedstar's, one of the greatest leaders in the clan's memory, as well). Part of me feels like that's why she was always so...prickly and hasty around rival clans, like she was trying really hard to prove her worth though she wasn't at all mentally prepared for being deputy or leader, doesn't help her apprentice got killed in an accident only fanning the flame of hostility. Once she became leader, time and again she failed, again because she just wasn't ready or prepared to not only lead but succeed a great cat like Crookedstar, and also I think those failures are what opened the door for Tigerstar to come in and manipulate her. Surely by now she felt so self-conscious that she kept failing her clan, and Tigerstar's promises of finally getting her to BE someone more than a laughingstock to the other clans caught her attention (and honestly given how during Stonefur's execution she legitimately seems terrified of Tigerstar and was about to protest but gave in out of some sort of fear (likely Tigerstar would drop the hammer on her as well as Stonefur and Stormpaw and Featherpaw if she didn't comply, maybe even punish RiverClan as a whole since Tigerstar's troops outnumbered hers with the rogues he picked up along the way), but speaks well of him when he's not around...symptoms of a victim of gaslighting, I feel like definitely she got roped in on an abusive relationship), and up to the day she died she still loathed herself for the whole TigerClan mess. Her whole story is just a depressing tale of someone forced into a position of power that they're not equipped to handle due to being so loved by her peers, and said peers believed in her to the very end even in spite of her failings. Heck, even though she failed to see the treachery within Hawkfrost she really started improving and became more relaxed and diplomatic to other clans (heck when Graystripe came back she was actually really happy to see him so she did finally forgive him for Whiteclaw) as the series went on. I just wish she got a more dignified death than going mad from illness and drought and slowly dying from that. Say what you will about her as a leader, but as a character, it would've been so much more satisfying to have her character arc come full circle by having her die a noble death really doing something great for her clan. She just...dang it she really needed a break outside of her clan loving her because RiverClan's a really tightly knit community (at least in Crookedstar's Promise it was) and it's really sweet. Also she absolutely ROASTED Darkstripe for being a butthole which gives her bonus points for me.
@@Aster_Iris I completely agree. Leopardstar definitely was roped into an abusive relationship, and had the burden of upholding both Oakheart and Crookedstar's legacies. I originally fell in love with her because of her name (I was young and leopards were my favorite animal) but then I started to read about her and I loved how Crookedstar saw her as- he chose her because she had a black and white view of the world, that she would do what she thought was right. In the end, she did that. she turned regretted her mistake and did all she could to make up for such. People say she never expressed regret or enough remorse but I think she did, just never out loud. She couldn't look like a leader unsure of her actions and had to remain strong. She had a hard time getting over her pride, but whenever she did, it really showed her remorse- letting Firestar lead, almost sacrificing herself to a fox to save Feathertail and her clan mates, and finally at her deathbed where she asked for forgiveness of Mistyfoot and tells her that she sees her as a daughter. I hope Leopardstar's Regret really thoroughs out her character and explores how her pride and the stress of having to be a perfect leader of her clan really hindered her decision making and expression of regret. I think A shadow in Riverclan was an amazing first step in redeeming Leopardstar and I look forwards to the new super edition to do the same. :)

1:38 all the animations are amazing but thus part omg! The lip sync is so smooth and when she slams her paw in time to the beat . I can’t stop rewatching it!!!

I am not actively into warrior cats anymore but Leopardstar is still one of my favorite characters, I love this, I love the energy of the riverclan cats, I love how refreshing it is to see a map about riverclan that's not focused on drama and angst
Since the last year of primary, I hated this song because we had to sing it, and practice over and over again. But this is awesome, 3 years later I actually value this song now 😂
I love all the amazing styles. Some people had amazing art and lighting and even some of the art that wasn't as skilled had even better movement and scene angles. So many different talents. I loved this.

In all seriousness, this is one of my favourite warrior cat maps I've ever seen. The parts flowed so smoothly, and fit with the song so well! Now if you'll excuse my, I'm going to watch this masterpiece again for the 47th time
