Love Deniece!!! As beautiful as she is and sings, it's tough to sing a song exactly as the original, which she is Spirit led. Although it was acapella, I could hear the recording she did from the AMA playing in the background. She did not use breath control/her diaphragm on that last note. Deniece is known for hitting those high notes. She did an awesome job on the whole song and held on to that last note. She can still sing her songs and hit high notes with power even at the age of 70, which is not the norm for the type of soprano she is.
That is not a recording of the AMA in the background. Because of echo and reverb recording processes, you hear the echo of each phrase prior to the main vocal line when it is being sung a capella on playback. However, had one been in the auditorium, one wouldn't have heard it of course.

Nope, Deniece is a natural talent.
No - she is a pure soprano! LOL - no question at all
She used head voice notes on the word "key" from the verse, " Faith is the... Key", and the last high note was definitely in her head voice. Deniece is known to cleverly use her mixed voice on certain vocal phrasings. But even mixed voice notes are produced from the diaphragm and chest voice, but supported by the head voice at the same time.
