UK equivalent of condensed milk is about $1.50 at the minute for a store branded product, and about $3 for a branded one. Nice to know how to make your own though.
My mother decided to stop being my mother when I was about 8 years old, so I never learned how to be a woman. Now I'm 41. I have excellent cooking and baking skills that I developed on my own, but I've been looking for older women to be in my life to teach me how to be a better woman, mom, housewife and cook. I really appreciate you and your channel and those like yours. Most people don't carry skills anymore, and frankly, it's just sad. Thank you for your help. I love your channel. God bless, from Canada❤ P.s Do you have a recipe for making powdered milk?
You can make your own powder milk. All you do is cook your milk u till it comes into a paste. Then you dry it in the sun or how ever you need then you let it dry on each side then food processed it to get powder
I hope that I don't offend you because I'm not trying to but that was a fail on my end. Followed your somewhat instructions such as they are and after 7min mine was still thin. It never turned a different color. If I had cooked it for 30 minutes like another recipe from someone else said I'm guessing it would have thickened up or turned a shade darker. You didn't mention how long to blend either. I'm 64yrs old and make almost everything from scratch and this one just frustrated me. It tastes ok so I'm guessing that it's going to be ok. How about when you share recipes you pretend no one knows what to do and they are just learning. I'm guessing this is most watchers of your channel. I will continue to watch and I will do this one again only I think I'll just go by instinct and see how it goes😊
That's always the gamble, will it work when we try it in our own kitchens. Thanks for sharing your experience 😊. Gives me pause for wanting to try it and spend money on ingredients I don't normally have in my kitchen 😢.

Love this ❤. I’ve put canned sweetened condensed milk in my coffee. Now I’ll put my own in.
Can you use 2 cups of milk? Instead of water and powdered milk?
my exact same question... not answered unfortunately. :(
There are many recipes for it online that use whole milk and regular sugar - "Simply Recipes" has a good one.
