@@lowroar5127 Yes i agree (i think the same for Once), i don't like Anette's vocals on this album, it lacks something. She's amazing on Imaginaerum though. Floor's performances on TPATP, 7 Days or Sahara really give justice to this songs.
Since you've mentioned it: yes, she shines the most in the songs that have NOT been written for her. It really looks like with Floor on board, realizing that she can sing everything, and with Troy's influence ever growing, Tuomas has happily returned to the initial idea of a small acoustic folk project. Hearing Floor sing those lullabies from the latest album is just pathetic, honestly. 1/3 of it is neoclassical music which nobody will ever listen to or play, unless it's used as a score in some crappy movie. The Goddess deserves some epic metal symphonies to be written for her. With enough soft sections for her gorgeous soprano solos like those she did in After Forever, with more intense parts for gritty vocals and with heavy a.f. parts where the use of distorted guitars and growls would be very appropriate. But it doesn't look like Tuomas can be bothered to write anything like this. He only turns to heavy metal when seriously pissed off or depressed. Those who claim that Nightwish went "Disney metal" and that Floor's potential is horribly underutilized, do have a point, after all. I've been refusing to take these thoughts seriously, but it's becoming harder and harder to ignore. So my expectations for the next album are... moderate, at best.
This is absolutely amazing performance. I love how Floor uses her hole body when singing. There is never exaggeration in her movement, only what music needs. And those hands are lovely. She looks so happy here❤️ .
Thx for uploading. Saw Nightwish live yesterday at Stuttgart. First time I heard Sahara live. I'm not a big DPP fan but this tour's version with Floor as singer blew me away. Live at the concert, the sound was even much more impressive. Really, really good. Also, Troy positively surprised me when he joined Floor singing to 7 Days To The Wolves.
I can't believe they put this song on the set-list. How unbelievably brilliant was that? You're so right, without Marko, the Valkyrie Queen did his vocals, and went right into her part without notice to Marko's part there being missed. This song needs to be performed more frequently, it has such a great vibe.
What other songs would you like Nightwish to dust off from the back catalog? I just seem to have this question somewhat frequently/infrequently, especially with how versatile Floor has always been and still is. For me it would be meadows of heaven, beauty of the beast, pharaoh sails to Orion, the escapist, two for tragedy (maybe) and nymphomaniac fantasia as a WTF curve ball ha ha, you weren’t expecting this. Not to mention, maybe white night fantasy also. Sahara, is a great song and Floor performing is awesome, it’s definitely a song I wish NW would do more often. Every time I see someone upload 2022 live performances I’m in awe how comfortable Floor is with these songs from the back catalogue.
They need to dust off DPP and Imaginaerum material other than Storytime, IWMTB and Last Ride... Respecting oldies, I would've loved if they kept playing Come Cover Me and Deep Silent Complete after the Decades tour. That doesn't seem to be the case unfortunately
@@lowroar5127 I would love to see you remastered versions of those studio albums (think what nuclear blast did for once) having all the B-sides/demo tracks/orchestral and instrumental discs with the album itself in one package, yes, please earbook or better yet do what they did with the nuclear blast, exclusive box set for once for DPP and Imaginaerum. Okay, if you wanna talk about DPP or Imaginaerum rest, calm, scaretale, song of myself, crow the owl the dove. I don’t remember cadence of her last breath ever been played, that could be pretty interesting. Overall, I agree, I mean the decades concert from 2018, could’ve been so much better than what it actually was, as a long-term fan I kind of thought it was lacklustre. Especially coming from somebody it’s been a fan since 2006, again just my opinion. I completely understand if people is a slightly different due to where the start point is however.
I´d wish a remake of "The Siren". Once you listen to the refrain, you cannot get it out of your skull easily. But some parts of it - especially in the live version - are a bit meh.
Ah such a great song!🥰 So jealous I wasn't there! They didnt perform it in Antwerp and Amsterdam unfortunately. Probably due to Floors health, which is most important of course :3 Stilk sad I wasn't there, though so many thanks for sharing!😊
@@misswishnight7 I think the first 5 venues had a shortened setlist in order to spare Floor since her surgery was then just 2-3 weeks ago. But I got all those wonderful videos on UA-cam :)
@@georg3607, the set list has only been increased by one song so we didn't miss out on much. I went to Birmingham the third show on the tour and they played 14 songs. The shows in Europe are playing 15 (excluding Amsterdam which played Phantom of the Opera as well so hit 16). 7 Days to the Wolves is the additional song, Sahara has replaced Sleeping Sun which they aren't playing anymore. Out of the two I'm glad I got to see them play Sleeping Sun to be honest.
So they are mixing up their setlist.. They did not play this in Düsseldorf.. There they played 7 Days to the Wolfs which replaced Planet Hell earlier in the tour.. Smart of them to mix it up a bit for themselves not having to play all the same songs every single night.. They have plenty of good songs to pick from.. Problem with Nightwish is they have to many good songs, impossible to play them all every concert..
Wow.....I saw/heard the phantom in Ziggo, but this one...............had liked this one more (saw the phantom several times at Floor's solo shows and yes, different but..........)
She said that it's been a long time since they've played this (2016 to be exact) and for Jukka in fact it's been the first time. And she thanked the crowd again.
I would have loved to catch them performing this one on this tour.. but this truly is Anette's. Floor kinda normalizes every part where Anette used to shine.
How do you know? Did you find it on the side of a road? Bring it back to her then! It doesn't make sense taking troll comments seriously, but just in case some normal people read this: This woman has the lungs of a whale. What she does with Nightwish is about 20% of what she can do. Floor could sing arias unamplified, using contemporary techniques - and this is coming from a former classical cvltist turned trve metalhead, so I've heard plenty of opera singer both live and in recording. Few of them come close to her level of power and control.
I cannot keep my eyes off her ....she looks radiant and sounds amazing
Is there anyone who can keep the eyes off her?? 😁😍🌷
@@tsiouparoglou4493 impossible
definitely looking better than she has in many years, whatever changes she has made to her lifestyle have been a great decision!
Every single song Nightwish has every composed has always been made for Floor. Period.
Because she can sing everything! 😁
A great song that they didn't play very often. This one suits perfectly Floor's vocal style.
They played it the last time in 2016.
Dark Passion Play is perfectly suited for Floor's voice

Ten years in awe about how perfect they sound live 😍
Perfection is for mortals. Floor is beyond perfect!
What can one say? Brilliant band, doing their usual excellent stuff. As a 71 year old my life would be complete if I get to see them live.🤘
I'm 64, found this band last year and feel the exact same way. ONE MORE TOUR !!!!
When Emppu SLAMS down into that chuggy chug chug I immediately find myself in my happy place. Sahara regularly finds itself in my top 5 NW songs. 🤘🤘🤘

One of my very favorite Nightwish songs. Which is hard to pick, they have so many!
What a beauty of a song! The heaviness and Floor`s beautiful voice...👌❤🤘I love it!!!
Thank you again for an other super special recording!!!

Sahara again live.Wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
Nice. Jukka nailed that bass lick about 3/4 through the song. One of my favorite songs for the bass.
Thanks for this! I love Sahara and I hope it will still be there in Prague. This whole European tour has been otherworldly so far!
