I rarely bother to target reds in the SWFL backcountry which is predominantly muddy bottomed, back bays and red mangrove shorelines. The best opportunities naturally focus on either side if the low tide. That said, your detailed tips and cool video give me some good ideas on where to focus my attention when the tailers disappear. Well done!
Awesome!!!!!! My buddy and I met you at cedar point several month back!!!! Good to see ya and sharing in your video!!!!! 👍btw I bought that 4runner we talked about!!!!
You can easily make some.. I made some out of a 1×4 traced some hook looking grooves and cut them out with a jigsaw sanded them down and stained it. If I could post the photos on here I would to kinda show you how too
It ain’t south FL for sure, no grass edges like that. We have flats, mangroves and oyster bars. Once the reds are buried in the mangroves forget it, gotta fish those spots on lower tides. For tide flats just follow the fish up as the tide climbs. Find the flats with birds and bait. The reds want to eat and will move up as soon as water level allows for it.
