Thank you so much for watching this video! I wanted to show a few things I've been up to recently and how I've been using the Seaboard to help me in my creative workflow - from working with others to my own personal projects ☺ The song me and Markus Kan were working on at the start of the video is called '30 Days', it comes out November 25th and you can check him out on TikTok in the meantime: vm.tiktok.com/ZMLRXBJC3 I've also got a few more things that have been happening behind the scenes that I can't wait to share on this channel too! Thank you for sticking around 👊
Awesome! I love the potential for real time expression about the Seaboard rise 2 and Block M, I play guitar, almost every note in a solo section eg I will almost always be adding all the wee nuances in vibrato, tremolo, bends, trills, etc it makes for a much better overal sound and that's on the guitar.. so to see this ability on keys.. well WOW! looks like my dreams have come true, I can sound like Pink Floyd- the whole band if I want now, I wonder if the seaboard or block can emulate the Lap Steel Slide guitar David Gilmour uses.. tone/pitch /articulation as well as how the Slide can move across the strings to a different chord tone and continue as you go that would be very very awesome !❤
I first noticed you on a Arcade ad, then see You on the Isotope channel, have You done a video explaining how you got the opportunity to work with them?
I've never worked with Arcade so don't think it was me :) Mostly just through content creation and putting it out there is how I got work and collaboration opportunities!

My god! Hackney? there were no studios in Hackney when I lived there years ago? wish there had been, who knows where I would be now, born and bred cockney, nice to see the old place doing great stuff?
Get the rise 2, you have a lot more from it. But it also isnt a block, so if ur going to mix lumi's with blocks then I guess go with the blocks, or money...
@@soundsbydiana right! And then Roli does those 20% off sales once a year or so and it's hard not to buy a couple packs each time as they are so "affordable." More sounds then I could ever possibly use
@@soundsbydiana for real! This cam actually be a problem. Thank goodness they have that favorite marking and you can rename. Roli said they'd have more ways to organize eventually but so far that's it
I really enjoyed this video. Not only your musicianship but also very informative on what you can do with this instrument. I recently preordered this so won’t receive until late March. I have little to no experience with midi much less mpe, but was so intrigued I just had to get one. It looks as though the software has to be on a pc or Mac and can’t use on iOS My main question is how I will get the audio into my mixer to play through my pa. I’m guessing I would come out of headphone jack and connect with 1/4” adapters. I guess I’ll need to get a laptop for a live situation. Am I right about this Thank you
Thank you so much for watching :) yes, if you're using the Seaboard it's just for PC/Mac, but they also have an iPad/iPhone app where you can play a digital version of it? Haven't tried this yet but I think I might do soon! and yes, you can just plug your laptop into the mixer via jack cables, or you could use a soundcard/DI, which should give you a better sound quality
I still need to try this before I buy it. It looks like you need to press it real hard to get the “expression” going. Also, latency looks really bad (9:51). Nice video though.
You can adjust the sensitivity on these 😌 and that 9:51 I think was maybe me being slightly off with aligning the audio from Logic so apologies about that! I played it via Bluetooth in this video and didn’t get any latency issues though, but it’s definitely worth trying for yourself 🙌🏻
@@soundsbydiana Thanks, good to know! I am literally messing around with Ieoshred on my Ipad right now, but there aren’t any good strings for it. Ill give Roli a try.
@@doubleohdutch2108 oh what’s that and is it available for iPhone too? I’m gonna be doing a video on mobile music apps soon so would love to try it if it’s on iPhone 😌 let me know what you think! 🙏🏻
@@soundsbydiana whoops, I thought I hit that ente key. Sorry for the late reply. Geoshred is also available for Iphone. You can jam with a band or also control Vst on your ipad. I highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for maximum expressivity. If you couple it with physically modelled instruments like the SWAM (Ipad and desktop) it is pure bliss.
It comes with ROLI Studio which includes sounds from Equator 2 and you can then expand to more VST libraries including the full Equator 2 synth as you get a $50 voucher 😌

OMG gotta get one of these, what a machine and as always presented perfectly by De Ana

How easy is it to change midi channel if you are wanting to control different hardware synths?

I've seen zero latency with my Rise2 connected via USB

So basically Block M is to Rise 2 what Block was to Rise? And Block M has this better keyboard with more tactile shapes and so on?
Pretty much! A Seaboardception. The Block M is a more compact version of the RISE2, but I haven't tried any of the previous models

those things are 350$ each, that's kind of expensive.
