Thank you very much for your detailed review! At 15:29 you mention Osram LEDs. I don't really understand. Does the Natfire HS50 have some kind of Osrams? You don't mention this in the section where you compare the "G2 LED". Sofirn HS25S with "Dual SST40" should be Luminus SST40-LEDs? Thank you for all the lumen measurements: 1079 lm peak and 614 lm at 30s. Do you know anything about the lumens after a longer time? Like after 10 minutes? In your video about Wurkkos HD10 I saw you measured colour temperature at around 4000K. Do you have measurements for the Natfire? Now after some months of usage: Do you still like it and still use it? Or do you prefer other headlamps? Sorry for the many questions and thank you very much for your video. It's the only detailed review I found in the internet. So double thanks! 🙂

Hey yea i can't tell what LED is in the light as it looks like a SST-40 but it could be a clone, Yea the Sofirn HS25 has the dual Luminus SST-40.
The HS50 is a good light but I have so many headlamps its hard to wear them all, I used it when I was doing an oil change and a few nights when I setup my shortwave radio antenna at a park its good but not outstanding I used to use the Nitecore HC30 as my go to headlamp and these two are similar but the Natfire is much cheaper.
The LED in the Natfire HS50 is a cold white LED not the worse its about 6000k, the LED is on the green side which is common with Luminus LEDs so that makes me think it could be a SST-40.
As for longer runtimes I don't test that long as its very temperamental it depends on a lot of variables, here in Australia it can be 25+ degree celsius wth high humidity when I am testing (even at night). For me to do proper testing I would need to get a setup I can control the temp in. Plus you have things like battery capacity and even the resistance of the battery can effect the runtimes at longer times.
If you want a solid choice maybe go for the H25L/ H25LR that is my usual go to headlamp they have a bit more mass that should help with cooling. Its a similar price and is high CRI, I am not the biggest fan of the Samsung LH351D but it works well.

@@everydaysurvivalgear Thank you very much for your answer! It's totally understandable that you don't want to make these long lumen measurments. I looked into how to measure lumens (which means: I googled how to do it) and it's really not that easy to do. So thanks for all the effort that goes into these videos!
I feel like the LED could also be one of the clones of Cree XM-L. That would also make it somewhat comparable to a nine year old Nitecore HC30 that had a Cree XM-L2 according to Nitecore's website. I believe Nitecore used the real Cree LED. :-D But I agree with you that it could also be a SST40 (clone?). Looks similar in the comparison.
You compare it to the beamshots of Sofirn H25S with SST40 6500K. The cold white SST40 6500K look warm white compared to the Natfire HS50 (at least to my eyes). So I guess the Natfire is more like 7500K to 9000K? For me personally the grass and wall looks really blue. I guess this light is not for me. Wurkkos HD10 from your other video looks very interesting because it is very small and lightweight - yet so powerful. If I go with the 18650 battery-size the Sofirn HS42 or Sofirn HS21 look very interesting. I saw reviews of these. But thank you very much - your review and answer helped a lot!

@@gs78798 Yea the Nitecoere uses a real LED at that time there was only one fake XML-2 I think. If you want to actually use the light for anything serious id avoid the HD10. Check out Convoy they have a few headlamps that might meet your needs. Sofirn is a good brand if you decide to get one.

Nice one Chris, going to pick up a couple for spares. I've been using a Sofirn SP40 every day for 5 years and it's still going strong, love it! I just noticed they updated it to USBC not micro, so I might get a new one of those too, as they're only £12. Amazing value, cheers mate.

Great review , the led is a deal breaker, but the host/UI/price make this a great light for led swop.... R you experienced with that process?

Thanks, Yea but this light looks like the bezel is glue down there is no visible way of unscrewing the bezel, now the review is done i can try and take it apart. Good fit for a XHP50 3V it will be slightly brighter but even more floody.
