Hi Jason! Maybe you could help me? Where I live in TX there are hardly any sup surfers so I don't really have anyone to reach out to. I'm 180 lb and surf a Sunova "the one" 9'5", I want something smaller I'm looking at the starboard pro and also the jimmy lewis super frank 8'. What are your thoughts on someone that is wanting to go to a smaller board? Is the JL a good option? Thanks!
Hey Kent! Thats great to hear about your progression and aspirations to drop down to smaller SUPs. It's such a fun journey! so I'm not as familiar with the starboard pro but I know they make great boards, but I am familiar with the JL Super Franks and my suggestion is they are great boards to drop from a larger board. I would recommend something in the mid 8 foot range. The 8'6 Frank looks like it would be a great fit for you!
