- Had an epic time fishing in Western Australia at the end of last year (2019). Got sent over for work but had an apartment right on the water at Palm Beach in Rockingham. Couldn't help myself but to wet a line almost every night. In total, 9 big ol' BUST OFFS..

Fish off that jetty all the time! Seen blokes catch tiger sharks off there too, was a crazy experience but they are such a beautiful shark. Will never forget that night

I live next to there and always fish there ! Pretty sure you hooked up to our lovely mate we call a car bonnet, big black ray that’s legitimately bigger than a car bonnet ! Some od sharks there tho

longer leader & heavier gear mate.. the big eagle rays are a problem, but you can put the hurt on a small to medium shark early & not get dusted on the obstacles. Keep up the good work, thanks Alex
Thanks mate. Wish I had the gear with me. Only limited to what I had as I wasn't really expecting anything huge until I spoke to locals.

The way that thing is fighting in the first first hook up doesn’t seem like a ray but if it was it doesn’t seem to be like them big black ones you get there

Should've fished the smaller jetty to the right it's deeper there and there's less moorings
90% sure they were eagle rays fished the area a bit and provided heaps off them
