I would be really interested in some videos focused on your equipment - that jetty rod holder is a good start but some more in depth stuff on rigs, rods, reels etc. What do others think?
Yep, most of the time I do this in episodes generally at the start and it has gotten to the point where I am just repeating myself each time and viewers are sick of the gear part. Haha
looked like an ordinary day out there but very rewarding. hopefully we can make snapper season this year if dan lets us out. great idea with rod holders make pier fishing more relaxing.
Thanks for watching! As you can imagine I get asked where I fish quite often. I try to give as much out as possible when it comes to information, tips, tricks and knowledge but unfortunately I can’t share all of my spots and honey holes. I have already sacrificed many good spots just to share with you guys the passion I have for fishing. As I’d love to share all my spots with everyone, I have to not ruin it for myself too, otherwise there would be no more episodes. Most of the time a lot of you guys can figure it out quite easily and I have put in all the hard yards and time to catch fish and to be honest that’s all part of fishing. Tight lines and hope you enjoyed! 🤗
Since I'm new to fishing the most info I can get the better. I don't need to know secrets but would be happy for general info relating to what is suitable and why. I still don't know what the difference is between a whippy rod to a stiff one and what and where you would use them. Bottom line is if I could catch fish like you do My wife would love me a little more. (Loves fresh fish).
@@richardharker2775 happy to help! Haha that’s so true! Generally if land based fishing with bait especially a 8-13” rod is ideal. There are fibre glass rods and carbon fibre rods. Generally carbon is more suitable for lure fishing as fibre glass is more suitable for bait fishing. Any more questions feel free to send them away, I’ll try my best to Answer in a timely manner. Thanks
Nice spot to fish, my brother cuts ships of squid as you do, however puts them in a container with red food dye and the whitting go nuts for them.cheers Tony Brisbane 🇦🇺
Hello James. Thanks for sharing. Mate; where is that pier you are fishing from. I am from the country and miles from the nearest beach. I would appreciate your advice.
@@MoinFerdouse , the shoreline is completely different to Frankston. The “point”, beach and moored boats inside the cove definitely not Frankston and more like Portsea.
I know exactly where you are, not concerned about your spot as I grew up fishing there- more spewing about what's happened to the beach there, its an absolute shame
Love that rod holder for the jetty. Very nice fish too 😍
Nah that thing is a walking death trap for fishing at night

Where is this?
Which pier are you fishing from ?
Portsea, Victoria
Portsea Mornington peninsula
I'm a newbie. Your rig, was it a star sinker on the end of the line and a paternoster style?
Good vid, love those rod holders.
Nice catch!
what fishing rod & reel do you use?
Where can we find that rod holder ?
Its from Hookem fishing, most tackle stores could get them in but I’d check their website to see the closest store near you
Where did you get the jetty rod holder from
What pier was this mate?
Toadfish make up for their poison with their cuteness

A mixture of Adobe and fcpx
