Operation Southern Slow Down begins in Florida, southeast US

- The Florida Department of Transportation and Florida Highway Patrol are teaming up with some nearby states to save lives.
They announced a campaign called “Operation Slow Down”, which started Monday. Law enforcement agencies in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina will all be conducting the speed enforcement to prevent reckless driving.
Locally, along with FHP, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is taking part in the initiative that continues through Friday.
