Francis Benfatto, un athlete magnifique. Complet, les symétrie, les proportions et le posing formidable. Un côté artistique hors norme, qu'on ne retrouve plus du tout dans les bodybuilders d'aujourd'hui. C'est dommage ce sport est si beau. L'un de mes meilleurs pré workout et source de motivation cette vidéo. Respect à Mr Benfatto 👏🏼

@@peopletalkuttergarbage not only have I been watching body-building since the early 90's but I have competed in IFBB events, so I would say I am qualified to make that statement
I've watched this routine so many times over the years and I'm still blown away by it. This is when bodybuilding was an absolute art form. From the conditioning, posing routines and choice of music, it made it more than just bodybuilding. Benfatto was a master alongside so many other bodybuilding artist of this era.
He would for sure win the Classic Physique Mr. Olympia today

Once you start posing yourself you start to understand and appreciate this art to a whole new level. The respect I have for these routines is immense, it’s most definitely not as easy as it looks.

Une magnifique chorégraphie, cette année il aurait dû être m.olympia de loin si on se serait penché sur la chorégraphie et l'esthétisme.

In my opinion Francis Benfatto is/was one of the best bodybuilder of all times, he should definitly been on the podium as "top 3"... way ahead of some other more "blocky" guys. He is my all time favourite, together with Bob Paris and Lee Labrada. Masters of posing, masters of propotions, masters of estethics.

His shape here in the 1990 Mr Olympia was an athlete who nailed it on the day like only 3 others. Dorian in 1993, Danny Padilla in 1981, and Phil Heath in 2011!! Sure, Francis is a slightly framed guy - but what beauty!!

My wife tbought that Benfatt's Olympia routine looked GAY.I kept trying to explain that he was exppressig a works of art.A statue in movement.It was a rare moment where artistry was expressed and i aopreciate it. No I am not gay. Just miss the gteat posets of the forgone era.
Well there are basically two types of posing routines .
1 ) one that induce passion example Lee lebrada , all golden era
2 ) homoerotic example Bob Paris.
This one is more towards Homoerotic
In a nutshell that's bodybuilding and how bodybuilding is in it's most beautiful form. It's sad what bodybuilding has turned into..

Francis Benfatto, Serge Nubret, Berry de Mey, Shawn Ray, Samir Bannout were always my favorite when I started training in 1990. Gary Strydom may have been more massive, but his physique was also incredible.

I wounder if this physique today could win a Classic Physique Olympia title.
That's astounding flow. Neck and glutes could be slightly bigger to convey more athletecism, but the legs otherwise look sleek and balanced. Guys tend to overdo it in the legs since muscle is rewarded for its own sake and there plenty of room to put on mass in the thighs, even if it looks worse and would be athletically disadvantageous in many circumstances. This physique is iconic and lends itself great to posing, which is what the sport is, at the end of the day.
Just a beautiful physique. Like art made human. Even the way he moves is graceful. A real far cry from 300lb mass monsters struggling to breathe on stage.
