Awesome vid guys! Just another detail to consider: yes you are fighting adrenaline when the time comes but often you have been sitting as still as possible for a long time... we all know the muscles are weak when they're cold. The adrenaline doesn't seem to get blood into the arms and shoulders fast enough sometimes. If you happen to be hunting in a cold climate the bow can even feel too heavy to draw. Hard to prepare for this but trying to flex muscles occasionally can help a bit. Happy hunting!
I hate to ask and put you on the spot, but . . . . How to install and sight in a new 5 pin sight. Where to set the pin housing and start out for the pins. I am totall new to archery and what I know about it I have aquired on the Tube. Some real help with this would sure be appreciated. I hope you can offer that help.
Great video. These drills will definitely get the heart pumping. I think it would only be fair to reverse roles and have Shad run through them next time :)
I recently increased my draw weight about 15lbs (from 45lbs to 60lbs) on my Mission Craze. The bow doesn't have the best locking capabilities so I find my arrow creeping up if I have to hold at full draw for more than 20 seconds. Do you have any advice on how to prevent that from happening or maybe suggest any shoulder/back strength exercises so that I can hold a deer in my sights for a longer time? Thanks guys!
Hmm... that's a tough one.. Did you have the same problem with locking at 45lbs? I would go to your local archery shop to have the bow tuned/checked.. Great shoulder/back workouts for bow hunters would be reverse flies, seated rows, and dumbell rows (kneeling on a bench).. there are plenty more exercises, but the only way to clearly express it would be making another video! Which we may have to do in the near future.. Hope that helps!
Na, I use a Bowtech too.. it was my first bow and I really like it, so I'll mess around with it every now and then. I might do a spring turkey hunt with it instead of my Mathews, we'll see!
All of your videos are awesome!! Keep it up!
Thanks Dan!

I'll get my revenge! We'll have to do some rifle drills soon
Loved the cool hand Luke reference
Haha glad someone appreciates it
Don't know why everyone is saying major Payne
It's a comedy movie from the 90's and I'm guessing Shad shows some resemblance to Major Payne in this video haha
Yeah haha
good work outs with a sense if humor, elks won't stand a chance!
Well said Joey! Let's see if the formula works this year
+The Sticks Outfitter thanks man, I'll be hunting turkey for the first time when their in season and I'm gonna need all the practice I can get!

"Like Rosie O 'Donnel to the buffet line" hahaha
What state are you guys in?
We're Oregon guys, how about you?
Arizona. But I'm from Estacada Oregon! Cheers, Chris.
Both have great elk hunting! Glad to see an Oregon native subscribed to the channel. Thanks for your support!
I'm in a state of constant depression and suicidal tendencies. How about you?
down range does that mean california?
Do the drill with a pack, practice packing out the bounty of your successful hunt.
We've been wanting to do that - and make it a competition between the two of us
Can't wait, picking up the popcorn and refreshments
Did you get rid of your mathews?

Ahhh I gotcha! I swith between my hoyt crx32 and my mathews helim!
Nice! It's definitely tough to let go of a bow you like so much, but Mathews knows how to make a dang good bow haha
+The Sticks Outfitter totally agree!
If looking for a Facebook group to join please join Bowhunter World. Thanks
Holding fingers out while shooting is not only dangerous but tweaks the bow. Bad form!!
