  • Learn how to find your anchor point to improve your compound bow consistency and accuracy. We break it down into three easy steps so you can remember it and repeat it over and over again. This is not the only way you can find your anchor point but a guideline to help you get started and avoid creating poor habits. By having a consistent anchor point, you will improve your accuracy and confidence while shooting your bow.
First, find you anchor point for your release hand. Your release hand should be in the same place every time you draw your compound bow. Somewhere under your ear and against your jaw. You do not want your release hand floating.
Second, find your nose/string anchor point. This won't be the same for everyone. Some draw lengths won't allow for this to happen, depending on the size of the bow. Don't mess with your mechanics to make this happen. If you can make it happen, repeat it, and you will improve your archery accuracy!
Lastly, you can find the kisser anchor point. This is where the string hits the corner of your mouth. Again, if the compound bow string doesn't come close to your mouth, you don't have to have this anchor point. But it will help if you can.
