I like your channel. When working on my southern mountain kit I really didn't need to as much sanding as you. The fun part is shooting it I found it light and accurate and very easy to shoot. Keep making videos you do a great job!!!!!!🤗
I did the step up on white maple send me your e mail I will send you you a photo of my finished rifle. I'm really proud of it the way it turned out!!!!
Great question, I didn't document this build too much, but I should have. For the wood finish I applied several coats of Danish Oil. For the metal finish I applied Brownells Oxpho Blue
You would have made this a far easier job if you simply make up wood sandpaper blocks with the shape you require, using a file it is very easy to dig in when you bump up against a raised area like the lock plate, with the minimal amount of sanding that this stock requires you would not need many blocks, and as an added bonus you can use automotive self adhesive sanding discs cut to size. Good luck! Chris B.

What finish did you put on the stock and would you get cherry again if you had it to do over?
Love your videos! Did you make any more videos of the build? How did you do the final finish? Thanks!
