Hello Ethan received my Kibler SMR yesterday. Was wounding what treatment you used on your barrel? Blueing.

Why are these barrels not flat from the factory?

Usually it is a finishing cost that the barrel maker doesn't need to incure. Makers like to finish barrels in different ways.

How fine of a file do you use for this process?

I like to use a standard double cut "fine file" before I start using sand paper. I hope this helps!
