i gave mine water turtle pellets and i believe it ate a couple. she seems crazy about mango but ignored banana. she had a little bet of greens too. i offer lots of things but my turtle seems to be fixated with mango.
Does he have a name? I have one of these turtles too. A male. I named him Kobe. He also eats cat food. Kobe has to eat fruits and veggies that just come in the good varieties of canned cat food. He won't eat anything else. I've tried. He eats mangoes too.
@Voidaken if you put a lot of stuff in the tank to climb on, they can flip over. And he never mentioned that they need calcium, I have a rescued wood turtle with metabolic bone disease, her previous owners gave her proper lighting, but no calcium. I showed this video to my friend, who knows a lot about reptiles. Because he didn't really give much information. And she told me how she takes care of her's, which made more sense and was different from what he was saying. I know he's just trying to help, but I'd recommend a different source.
He isn't that far off the only thing I really heard that I would say he "didn't know" is that he needs to take him to vet for antibiotics. If turtle has a ri and doesn't get antibiotics it will die. And since this is only video I'm thinking it did

@Voidaken I watched this a year ago when I was planning on getting one, I don't remember that. And good luck on getting a turtle, they're awesome
