Am I the only one who sees Halo CE as a totally unique experience, separated not only from other FPS but also the others in the franchise? Like something about CE just hits differently than anything else.
This is a really good video man, the only thing I'd change is the volume of your narration, it's hard for me to hear anything from my laptop with everything cranked up. Other than that, it was good!
That be boring though, I prefer them to by a mysterious alien race with advanced technology lost to time and space. 343 stating what they were was underwhelming, generic, and shoved in a exposition dump I could barely sit through. Now I'm no lore fanatic but 343 fucked something up while writing lore and story for 4, 5, and 6
@CombineWatermelon I find it more interesting for them to be a more mysterious SPECIS. Human is so fucking generic I don't find appeal in that. It's a trope that's been done to death
Mysterious ancient Humans. Revisiting the game after knowing this going to Halo is like going to see the Pyramids but on a whole other scale. I love it.
I just replayed CE, 2, and 3 with my girlfriend. No this game did not age well in my opinion. The level design suffers due to technical limitations., So many copy pasted rooms in the back half of the game. Halo 2 shows how badly CE has aged, since 2 suffered the same hardware limitations and manages to feel less repetitive.
