    Nice Desert Eagle! I've had the pleasure of shooting them in 44, 50 and 429DE.

    I have an older model with the hard chrome finish, it has the 6 inch barrel and I changed the sights out to adjustable ones. The old ones had no scope mount provisions built standard on top of the barrel. Mine has been very reliable and very accurate, my only complaint is the trigger pull, not heavy but what I call spongy.

    My personal preference 44 Magnum formula = S&W Wheel-gun + Eagle Grips “Select Rosewood”
    Combat Grips + Hornady Lever-evolution 225 Grain 44 Magnum FTX.
    😈
    That DE sure looks like a lot of fun though.

    I've never shot one. I don't think I could get my meat hooks around the grip enough to hold on to it. Looks like you had a lot of fun shooting this beast. I know I really enjoy shooting my 45-70 rifle for likely the same reasons. Enjoyed it and thanks.

    I've bought seven .50AE Deagles in the last six months. Jam-o-matic? The first mag taught me to brace my elbow a little more consciously. Since then, I've never had a problem. Others who fire them, not recognizing they need to brace for more recoil, they'll get failures to go into battery and stuff, but they're obviously not bracing it properly when they flag the sun god on every shot. The stereotype is that Deagle reliability is similar to my video game skill level. I'm happy to see more people are seeing that change. As far as I can tell, with my experience, they're no longer the titan paper weights people think they are. My gaming skill still sucks, though.

    • @kairandson4886
      @kairandson4886 10 місяців тому

      Also, there's no question that you can put a little more energy into your handloads for the Deagle. The pressures out of a .50AE, which is obviously the caliber that the Deagle is more commonly known for, is significantly higher than your handloads. I'd say put the power of Thor into them, see if you can hit 1800fps with your .44 mag loads. For science.

    Use h110 powder and a max charge. My desert eagle only likes hot rounds and a powder that produces copious amounts of flame throwing gas that h110 provides.

    My brother had a DE in 44 mag. It jammed constantly.
    The DE was made only to cycle the 50ae, so the 44 mag just was not reliable. They solved this issue with the 44DE, which is a .429 necked down 50ae. I guess they fixed the issue by changing the overall design, anyway?

    • @Dayattherange
      @Dayattherange  Рік тому

      I think it is a 50AE case necked down to .429.

    • @ernestocuello2709
      @ernestocuello2709 Рік тому

      I’m having the same problem but reversed, my desert eagle chambers .44 magnum perfect and I rarely get any jams, bought a .50AE barrel to shoot both calibers and I’m jamming usually every 3 rounds with the .50AE I found the issue and I know it’s magazine related, my .44 mags work great but my .50AE mags are super stiff.

    • @darrelltrout
      @darrelltrout 7 місяців тому

      It was chambered in 357 and 44 mag about a decade before 50 ae was invented. 50 ae was made for the gun, the gun was not made for the caliber.

    Yeah, I just got me a Desert eagle 44 not long ago just waiting for it to come in so I can pick it up I shouted this eagle when I was younger, but it was it but it shot 50 rounds or what is the typical name for it? But it was my families desert Eagle. but I heard the 44 Desert eagle. Accuracy, much better and don’t get jammed up as much as the 50. which is good which I will find out when I get it. this is the first time only one for myself because when I was young, I shot my families not my own so it’ll be cool experience to learn things for myself because my family was strict so I didn’t really get a chance to learn very well. So any advice besides what is on the video? Like cleaning of ice and other stuff. Because I own mini firearms, but I know some of them are cleaned little bit different than others.
