I have the same OD on my Honcho and agree that the turn radius is a bit better. The OD also helps on high traction steep climbs but causes the front wheels to slip and spin more easily on slippery/low traction climbs......thereby reducing it's climbing capability. I'm tempted to remove the OD as the truck turns like a school bus, with or without OD;-) That said, I love this thing and run it every week.
Looks like the OD gearing helped but the eBay link didn't result any part's, Manuel search gives 12-43 as others are selling, so what is the teeth numbers for the OD? 1:08 the stock one has wayyy more tooth contact area. 1:30 again stock with wayy more contact area. ok the vitaton is stronger metal but it has like 25 percent less contact.
Huge difference in turning radius! So I want to overdrive my Trx4 but I still want to maintain trail ability any suggestions for a gear that will allow me to do that! I’m thinking if I was to ask anyone you would be my best option! 👍👍😁😎✌️
There’s no way to keep both unless it’s at the transmission like the phoenix. best thing to do is to get more clearance on the steering knuckle and a bent steering link .

Thank you Joe for the 'gifts'! Much appreciated!
Hey joe do you have vitavon gears in your dbxle 2.0 in the open diffs.

I run 20% front overdrive in my 8 1/2 lbs trail rig. You may loose a little side hill ability. If that's a deciding factor go with 10%
I agree 10 to 15% max on the OD.
i have an axial 10.3. i overdrive the front by abt 15% with a more tooth gear. it’s my trail rig and weights abt 17-18 pounds. love it
@@randysgut3214 holy cow that is a heavy truck!!!

@@dirtysoufracing6029 Wow you're right! I can't believe there hasn't been a copyright battle there. That's my bad. 🤭
