Do you guys have a sous vide. I know it has nothing to do with your comment but figured I would ask sense Mary loves cooking and I assume easy clean up.
Reuben sandwich’s. Kielbasa, Bratwurst & polish sausage are all good with sauerkraut. Boil the links, Chop them up, brown them in a fry pan, add your sauerkraut and boil til krout is warm enough to eat. Some ppl just boil the krout & links together. I prefer it done the other way. I could live on Reubens. My most fav sandwich of all time.
I'm not religious. I don't have CF, nor does anyone I know. Despite this I've been watching your vlogs for a long time. They make me feel happy, inspired, motivated, and more appreciative of the little things. I look forward to your vlog every day. Thank you for your wholesome inspiring content.
Same here, but but they are so precious & I look forward to their daily vlogs because they keep me inspired when I’m having a bad day. It also makes me appreciate the little things as well!
I love that Mary is doing so much better on Tricafta! She's going up and down the stairs pretty easily and before she would have been coughing. I'm so happy this has been a blessing for you Mary!
Watching your family each days always brings sunshine into my life and a smile that I thank you, you and Mary are very uplifting people hey Ollie and Harry love and prayers always
I have been watching you since you were in Scotland and it’s just amazing watching Mary run up and down those stairs without loosing her breath. I am so glad Mary is doing so well now. 🤗😄❤️
Right before you said "I hope this little vlog will bring sunshine to you" I was thinking how I love to watch the two of you every morning and you make me smile. Thanks for doing this
I love sauerkraut!! Sausage on a bun, hot off the grill, with warm sauerkraut and mustard....Yummmmmm! Your lunch looked fabulous! So many people say how good avocado is but, to this day, I have never tried one. I am sure that I would love it and it seems that it complements so many other foods. Don’t forget, Peter......Swiffer 🤣 Do enjoy what is left of this beautiful weekend and, as always, we will see you tomorrow. I just HAD to say that. LOL 🤗❤️❤️🙏🏼😘🐕🐱
I tried it once just a tiny bite it tasted nutty & yucky to me I’m willing to try again sometime tho :) I’m think mine was way over ripe it was really squishy lol
sauerkraut is amazing!!! We always simmer it for a while with onion and bacon and a strong beer (the alcohol gets cooked out) and some stock (i usually go for veggie stock)... great... just with potatoes and sausage!
P.S. if you want a dialed down version of the sauerkraut, you can take it out of it container and rinse it in a strainer. Then put it in a slow cooker with some chicken stock to top it off. Put a cup of light brown sugar in with the stock and mix well. If you want to make it a little more germanfied add a half a box of golden raisins to the mixture. Let it cook for a few hours or overnight and use it on hot dogs with brown mustard or a pork roast. That is what I do for New Years. It is a southern Pennsylvania thing. Love you guys, God Bless
Your vlogs are the last thing I watch before bed because they are always so fun and positive and calming!!! You both are the best!!!!!! Sauerkraut and pork or sausage is what I grew up eating. It is so good!!! Pork ribs sauerkraut and potatoes in a casserole dish put it in the oven and YUM!!!!
I lived in Georgia for 2yrs, originally a Northern girl, and I remember being out in the yard and just hosing down my head because the heat was so oppressive. Yeah, two things I don't miss about the south are the heat and the bugs, they were humongous. ✌️
You can rinse the brine off the sauerkraut before you eat it and it's not as sour or salty. I sometimes cook it with sliced up hot dogs or Kielbasa sausage. It's awesome on Kielbasa sandwiches!
Well, while you guys are enjoying your heat, we’re back to April type temperatures here in London. Martin deadheaded all the rose bushes today between rain sowers today. Have a blessed Sabbath evening guys xxx xxxxxxxxx
I love saurkraut! It's really good on hot dogs or make a Rubin or my favorite is pan cook sausages thin sliced apples and the toss some saurkraut in at the end! Serve with some mustard !
A really awesome way to enjoy sauerkraut is to use it as stuffing in a goose. It absorbs a lot of the runoff fat and becomes sweet and not vinegary at all.
An amazing way to enjoy sauerkraut is to lightly fry it in a pan with roasted cumin seeds and some butter, goes very well with smoked pork like Kassler
I was outside yesterday working on my friend's truck. It's a 1995 Chevy Cheyenne 2500 4 wheel drive. I got some lights put on it, being that I can't see, I didn't know if they worked so I had him get in the truck and check if I wired stuff up right. It's the work truck package with crank windows! Has the 350 v8 in it, and it's pretty quick! It also has 86,000 miles on it and no rust! The whole truck is completely clean, even the engine is clean! Wish I had a way to show you guys how it sounds because it sounds amazing!
You have to try a Reuben sandwich they are the best and even if you want to do it without meat they taste great. I make mine with toasted pumpernickel bread , Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and A little bit of thousand Island dressing
I'm cracking up over the fact that the "wrong decision" was vaccuming the stairs. 🤣 Also, Also has Chicken spinach Gets sausage that is really great sauted and served on salads, or with eggs, but it's also great with sauerkraut. One tip is to try Red barrel German cabbage. It's really yummy!!
I am in a crap ton of pain 24/7 right now. I can't hardly get out of bed. Looks like Ollie is greatly enjoying the fenced backyard. Sadly I'm allergic to tomatoes, radishes, & dairy products ugh. These things I hate being allergic to.
Tip for sauerkraut...on top of the stove put the kraut in a pot, add brown sugar and celery seed. While that’s heating, brown a large link of kielbasa on the grill. Cut up the link and add to the sauerkraut and simmer for a little while. Eat with spicy brown mustard. Yummy
my grandmother made homemade Krout and I loved it she would even save me the juice of it and, I still do to this day and I'm 61 and I love my kraut with soup beans and fried potatoes it is sooooooooooo goooood but I am spoiled I don't like store-bought kraut I have to have homemade thank goodness my grandmother taught me how to make it find someone who makes homemade kraut and try that the store-bought stuff is no good
Sauerkraut on a bratwurst with a bit of mustard is delicious. I also enjoy it with pork roast or heated up with chopped up hotdogs in it. It really is one of those things that is an acquired taste.
Since I'm from Lancaster County, PA I can tell you you how to eat sauerkraut! You didn't grow up far from there! Heat the kraut in the slow cooker with a little brown sugar. Serve it with some.of your brisket & mashed potatoes. Apple sauce goes great with this meal. Drain it & add it to a grilled cheese sandwich . Sort of like a Reuben. Sprinkle with your new Everything Bagel seasoning! Yumo & you are right, it is goog for you!
Sauerkraut cooked with or eaten with sausage (brats or Italian sausage) is really good . I also bake pork chops with sauerkraut over the top. So yummy.
You can rinse the sauerkraut to make it a little easier to eat (I love sauerkraut). Chop up an apple and cook it together on the stove (or even in a Crock-Pot!). Add polish sausage or chicken sausage. Yum
Sauerkraut and mashed potatoes, sauerkraut on hot dogs and hamburgers, sauerkraut in casseroles. Yummmmm! Did you guess I'm of German heritage? I've been eating that stuff since I could walk. Love it! Next, try head cheese. Another delicacy I love and pickled herring. Another couple of YUMMMMS!!!!
I am definitely having to side with Peter on the sauerkraut; it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up 😂. But look forward to seeing if you talk him into it 😊

Helloooo fellow german here: your Sauerkraut will taste the best if you cook it down with some: white wine, bay leaves, cloves (be carefull, they are very strong!!), a lil bit of apple juice, bacon (we dice it), Pepper and broth (you have to let it simmer in the broth, it needs to eventually cook away) . Its not the whole traditional ingredients but what I think its easy to find and use for you guys to try it out! Its so good with sausages ! (optional of course)
If you put the sauerkraut on Pizza it really is good. You don't really taste the sauerkraut so much but it adds to the flavor of the toppings in a good way. Yum. 👋💞

You can try mixing brown sugar and caraway seeds in with the sauerkraut then bake it to heat it up.
Mary! Is it the “Year of the Sauerkraut”?!?!
Boil it with bratwurst or your choice of sausage
Reuben sandwich’s. Kielbasa, Bratwurst & polish sausage are all good with sauerkraut. No Peter, Ollie isn't a cow - he's clearly a lamb.
Duhh?

I love that Mary is doing so much better on Tricafta! She's going up and down the stairs pretty easily and before she would have been coughing. I'm so happy this has been a blessing for you Mary!
Beautiful yard. I love gardening. If Ollie is peeing on the grass it kills the grass, making the grass look burnt/dead. Have a blessed week😊.
Look at Mary climbing does stairs like it’s nothing. It’s still unbelievable to me... you go girl! ✊🏻
Watching your family each days always brings sunshine into my life and a smile that I thank you, you and Mary are very uplifting people hey Ollie and Harry love and prayers always

sauerkraut is amazing!!!
We always simmer it for a while with onion and bacon and a strong beer (the alcohol gets cooked out) and some stock (i usually go for veggie stock)... great... just with potatoes and sausage!
I love sauerkraut but it has to be cooked with certain other foods, like kielbasa. You cook them together in a pot with some beer. Yum!
Or pork ribs, or mushrooms...

Seeing Ollie's face puts a smile on my face. Had to put my service dog to sleep on Wednesday and I am absolutely heartbroken. :'(
@@meganlovesdisneyandcrafts4780 thanks for the condolences.
I'm so very sorry for your pain. Just know that you gave your dog a great life.
I'm so sorry. Hugs!
You havent gone out on boat because youve been enjoying watching grass grow. Ollie just the cutest.
Welcome to the South! The heat is something else...I struggle everyday here in southern Virginia
you should get some of those red bike/hose etc hooks for the garage. Utilize some of that overhead space that you have. or just build a small loft..
Thank you so much for sending sunshine to my hospitalroom. 🌞 It’s a rainy and cold day outside. God bless you. 🙏 Stay safe. 🌸

Haha when Peter said "could you have bought a bigger jar?" With the sourkraut! 🤣
I’ve tried to learn to like sauerkraut. I know that different types taste different and I’ve always thought homemade might be the key.
Homemade sauerkraut is soooo good! My Grandma & I used to make it together! So good!

Hi. About Sauerkraut... I‘m from Germany and I like it best when cooked with some pineapple chunks with the juice and add some chilli
Sauerkraut on a bratwurst with a bit of mustard is delicious. I also enjoy it with pork roast or heated up with chopped up hotdogs in it. It really is one of those things that is an acquired taste.
Warming up the sauerkraut will mellow it out a bit. Also a little brown mustard goes well with sauerkraut.
I am not a big fan of Sundays but this made me smile today 😊
sauerkraut on rye with pastrami, swiss and russian dressing. Place in fry pan and brown on both sides. YUM!

Love everything bagel seasoning! We just bought it ourselves and now we are obsessed with it. It tastes yummy on a baked potatoes.
Oh yeah summertime. You will have fun on your boat.

Very yummy I use it on everything

Stephanie Howells I put it on steamed veggies and mashed potatoes. It’s super tasty.

Try rinsing the kraut with water to lessen the taste abit. As you get used to it rinse it less.
If you put the sauerkraut on Pizza it really is good. You don't really taste the sauerkraut so much but it adds to the flavor of the toppings in a good way. Yum. 👋💞

Mary, you make those stairs look easy.
try pork chops sauerkraut cream of mushroom soup in the crockpot. drain the sauerkraut. it mellows the taste and tenderizes the chops, over rice.
Mary? I never liked sauerkraut until I tried the one you get in the refrigerated section of the store.
