  • The customer had left the tub untouched over winter! I think the lid must have come of at some point as there was lots of leaves and twigs
    Any way it’s looking so much better than I thought it would and cleaning it! I used some hottub flush to clean out all the pipes and also used liquid chlorine at the end to get rid of those tuff Staines.

    I have a very similar model - but the North American version. Like any spa, they require the same regular maintenance. If you neglect it, they can get gross pretty quickly and become a headache. For the majority of people, I don't recommend it. The nice thing about these is that they're inflatable, so you can quickly deflate it and sell it to someone who is willing to maintain it as they should

      Yeah, thinking the same. But on the other hand, even if it costs as much as a new one you still have all the hassle of emptying that disgusting cesspool, transportation to dump, go get a new one, set it up. And of course being a bit kinder to the environment.

      My biggest issue is whenever I empty mine for the winter is that water gets inside the "pockets" where all the small air holes are, and that water will not drain entirety no matter if letting all the air out, or whether storing the spa whilst it's still inflated, so that means that the water left inside there will eventually "rot" and become full of nasty germs, and how would be the best way to get rid of it????

    I made the mistake of leaving water in mine unused for 6 months and spent a good few hours getting it all clean! Im definitely going to try the ahh some flush cleaner, looks the business 👍. I use a sump pump to drain mine, I connect my garden hose upto it, it does the job but takes that bit longer, where do you get the pipe from for the pump? Can you buy it in long lengths, its only because our back garden is long 15m to 20 and our lazy spa is at the bottom bottom end. Do you push the paste in to the inlet and then start a recirc and put the bubbles on. Great vid btw.

      Left it open after it's last use and it sat like that for many months (likely over winter judging by the leaves and twigs that sank to the bottom).
      It'll get nasty once the chemicals evaporate from the water and algae and bacteria can start up... it basically turns into stagnant water you'd find in a bucket.

    • @volvo09
      @volvo09 Рік тому +1

      Do you put chemicals in it?
      If you run straight water it'll get nasty quick, the chlorine evaporates very fast and it's quite low.
      I was able to keep a big inflatable pool crystal clear for a few summers using nothing but a light sprinkle of powdered shock every week, or after heavy use to keep chlorine levels up (Just used a cheap test kit to monitor it every once in a while so I wouldn't overdo it and make it smell like a public pool, haha. I never used any more chemicals than that, just kept it basic, however wrong that may have been.
      I think another chemical is often used for spas since the heat gives off more chlorine smell, (maybe it's bromine?) But I think you might be under treating or not treating if it's getting cloudy or slimy.
      I'm not a pro though.

      @@volvo09 im using hgh chlorine tablets to treat the water but this doesnt seem to be working as the water gets milky just after 2 days of use.

      I place 2 bromine tablets in the chemical dispenser every 2 weeks, change the filter every week, shock with chlorine free shock after each time the spa is used, add water clarifier 2x a week. Be sure your water hardness and pH are in check as well.
