I don't even know what I'm watching and I love it. Yay for randomly clicking on Richard Armitage videos, even if I've never seen the shows. The emotion he brings to Guy's character is so different from the other roles I've seen him in. Wonderful actor.
Oh my God, i love his character. I mean, he is so complicated! Violent and killer and cold, but inside him there is a so interesting world! Pain, rage, love... i don't think he is a bad man, or a selfish, i just think he is a lost man. And i like to try to understand him
The scene where Guy learns that Marian was indeed the Night Watchman broke me. There is no way you could not feel for him, whether you liked the character or not. "You do not speak to me." Oh, you could just hear the betrayal and anger and disappointment in his voice. I just wanted to give him a hug.
i've never known anyone to look so good in black leather SERIOUSLY marian's unleashed her darkside - guy's shown his light side - what's gonna happen??? *wah!*
Does he though? He's a liar, a murderer, he blackmailed her into marrying him several times, would have actually let her be raped in an earlier episode because his master told him too. I kept waiting for her to punch him again to be honest.
3:36 "You! Do not speak to me." I tear up every time I hear that line. How intense would it have been if Guy had killed the Nightwatchmen in that first fight before he knew it was Marian? I would have liked that much more than how he did kill her, more realistic too, imo.
I really loved this episode. Sir Guy is sooo hot. I loved the queen mother, what a hilarious woman, touching Little John's parts, hahahahaha. You could have included that part in your video ;)
Marian only wanted to be friends with Guy and to try and bring out his good side. It's not her fault he fell in love with her. She wasn't going to betray her heart for Guy when she was in love with Robin. It's common sense really. She needed to help Robin and the gang save England and Guy was her only means to do that so she had to use him. But at the same time she wanted to turn him good. It's actually quite sweet of her tbh as I would have damned the man myself and left him for good.
Did anyone else notice the microphone dropping in at the top of the screen during one of Marian & Guy's scenes after 4:32? Watch carefully, you can barely see the tip, but it's there. If you can't see it, use the dark and light corners of the stone above Marian's head as a reference point.
Guy just didn't know how to show Marian how much he loved her. I think that Marian at certain points did have feelings for Guy, but because of his darkness that twists him into a man of hate and anger she was unable to fully accept those feelings.
For me, Guy is a hero. In this series, who purifies himself, by love, is Guy. Robin only purges in the political plane. In the plane of love, who purges is Guy. Marian and Robin's love seems to be just a puppy love with no density, no depth, no conflict...
There's more heat in one scene with Lucy Griffiths and Richard Armitage than in all the scenes she had with Jonas Armstrong combined!! I hope the casting director was sacked!
So trueeee, I just watched the series and I’m so disappointed :( Guy and Marian had a freaking potential together and they just threw it all away. Season 2 finale and Season 3 doesn’t exist to me.
I was so afraid how this episode would play out, and it turned out beautifully...another chance to see the love inside Guy. He really has become the hero. If he goes off to the Holy Land next season (hopefully RA will be making movies)what will we do without him?
+BalfourofShaws That might have worked! He has the ability to bring depth to the characters he acts; to make us feel with them and know what they are thinking and believing. To make them truly real. And the Jonas fellow didn't quite ever seem to do that for me.
You know, I never watched this series... but one of the reasons is precisely that "the Jonas fellow" :) does not look at all like Robin Hood to me. I don't know what _his_ acting is like, but I totally agree with you that Richard Armitage is a very good actor (on top of having very good looks).
Lately, Guy is giving us everything we want, tough and tender, sexy and romantic, yearning and protective, naughty and nice. What a great season...well if you can fast forward through some of the other stuff.
+LBF522 I know! That is very cruel of her. Guy is a pretty tough character but she still has precious little excuse for leading him on in the way she does when she knows that she will never marry him. I don't like this side of Marion at all, in fact, I just plain don't admire her very much. But I love the scene where he forgives her, it very nearly makes me cry because it shows that he is capable of tenderness, even mercy.:) Not that I like Guy all that much but I think she really doesn't know him as well as she thinks, after all.:) And irrelevantly, Richard Armitage has such a beautiful voice. I could go to sleep to the sound of it.
Lol, he just stumbles away when he discovers that she is the nightwatchman. It woud have been funny if he tripped over something.....no, that's a shame on poor guy xD
I agree on every one of you with some points or the other. It's true that sketching the character of gisborne is difficult. I, though, would like to implore those of you are dead set against Marian to think again. The condition of Nottingham and thereby locksley was very disheartening. People were dying for the lack of means to survive. Marian did everything for the greater good. Had it not been for her and robin's pain staking efforts, the situation would have gone into the grip of anarchy. ..
A quick survey of pro Robin/Marian posts seem to indicate Robin's boyish charms draw many preadolescent fans ("omg he's soooo cuuuute"). But if Guy leaves Nottingham, what's left for those of us addicted to a dark, dangerous, battle-hardened, sexy, Marian hungry Guy?
I feel really bad for the Guy/Marian fans out there. I heard Guy kills Marian, how's that for a really bad ending to that ship? It just killed the show for me...I'm just thinking that Lucy couldn't do season 3 and that's why they made her die. No other reason makes sense to me.
Why couldn't the rest of the series have more moments like this! I finally watched the end of the series and I couldn't believe how it ended, talk about a disappointment! I'm going to pretend that the end of season 2 and all of 3 didn't happen! Killing main characters off is slopping writing.
He's not a man- he's a traumatized and terrified child. Guy, you're stronger, taller, younger- your can have the Sheriff for lunch! Why aren't you fighting back? Why do you freeze like a deer in the headlights? Some Apex Predator you are!
I agree with you. I do not think Marian is any kind of a witchy woman just because she was not in love with Guy. I am not blind to the fact that Guy is a murderous and unstable man, but the fact still holds that there is another side to him. It does not excuse what he has done, but it does provide a dichotomy to his character and it makes him fascinating (to me at least) as a human being in general. Not all women are as shallow as you describe. Don't stereotype in a argument, it weakens it.
Guy deserves to wind up with Marian because he changed a lot in name of love. But Marian will wind up with Robin. She is the biggest badge of honor he will receive for the great service rendered to the people and the King of England. I don't like it definitely.
UGH she drives me crazy! She is so incredibly naive!! Where the hell else are they supposed to put an army of mercenaries?! And how fucking stupid is she that she is going to remove an entire season's worth of food all by her lonesome!?! I mean seriously, this isn't Harry Potter, she can't shrink that shit and put it in her damn pocket! She such a liar, she sees what is does to him and she doesn't give a shit. I was so glad when she died, sad for Guy, cause he loved her, but UGH!!!!
I didn't like that 12 and 13 made all of her previous talks with guy just lies. It would have been a better story if she had loved guy, esp since robin character is so boring in this version
Watching these over again just makes me not like Marian even more. Everyone's already said it, she's a liar and manipulative and she uses him for her own benefit and....ugh, I just want to slap her. He's saved her life countless of times and she still treated him like shit. I don't feel one ounce of sympathy for her death at all. She had it coming. It was only a matter of time before he snapped and she caused it.
Hmmm... Marian's been a bit of a hypocrite. At the start of the clips, she says 'I thought I saw another side to you Guy', now later on she's being deceiving by being the Night Watchman? At least he's being honest about who he is. [I don't know, but I just wanted to bite his glove off at 4:31 I guess I'm just weird like that XD]
I agree, I don't like eps 12 and 13, except for Guy killing Marian. I mean, I feel sad that he lost her by that but she actually deserved it a little. This is the second or third time Guy tells her how much he loves her and now has tricked the sheriff in order to save her, if the sheriff finds out he could be hanged. Still in ep 13 "(she)'d rather die than be with you Guy of Gisborne"?? She had just voluntarily hugged and kissed him and then she'd rather die??? Really, I don't blame Guy.
How could she not melt in Guy's presence?! This is a great episode, one of my faves. TY for posting!!
I don't even know what I'm watching and I love it. Yay for randomly clicking on Richard Armitage videos, even if I've never seen the shows. The emotion he brings to Guy's character is so different from the other roles I've seen him in. Wonderful actor.

Oh, you could just hear the betrayal and anger and disappointment in his voice. I just wanted to give him a hug.
"Stay and make this place bearable." I was nearly in tears ;_;
Thank you so much for posting this!! Who needs Rovbin and the gang? We're only interested in this sizzling relationship between Marian and Guy!
i've never known anyone to look so good in black leather
SERIOUSLY
marian's unleashed her darkside - guy's shown his light side - what's gonna happen??? *wah!*
Thanks for posting!! I absolutely loved them in this eppy and it saves me from having to skip the other parts - lol! Thanks!
Thank you for these...I'm only interested in the Guy/Marian or Guy parts anyway. Poor Guy...he deserves a true love *sigh*
Does he though? He's a liar, a murderer, he blackmailed her into marrying him several times, would have actually let her be raped in an earlier episode because his master told him too. I kept waiting for her to punch him again to be honest.
Oh Guy is so cool love everything about him in this scene, "YOU DO NOT SPEAK TO ME." did you see his face? killing me
You... DO NOT speak to me... love that part!
Love this episode. It's great to see all of its best parts in one place.
sir guy of gorgeous ! lol
3:36 "You! Do not speak to me." I tear up every time I hear that line.
How intense would it have been if Guy had killed the Nightwatchmen in that first fight before he knew it was Marian? I would have liked that much more than how he did kill her, more realistic too, imo.
I think Guy was more upset because he almost kills her with that daga than her lying to him
Man, I love when he smiles. Although, it's more like a smirk.. sexy!
guy is such an *intense* character!
from season 1 to 2 he changed so much! and now season 3 has finally begun he's back to his darkness routes again
I really loved this episode.
Sir Guy is sooo hot.
I loved the queen mother, what a hilarious woman, touching Little John's parts, hahahahaha.

Absolutely he is gorgeous !!!
Great episode! Thanks for posting.

For me, Robin deserves the triumph in the political plane. But in the plane of love, who deserves the triumph is Guy!!!

Completamente de acuerdo
I feel like every time I watch this it just becomes more obvious how much they both actually love each other. Like seriously, Robin who??
Everyone loves Robin couldn't they give guy just this one person :(
There's more heat in one scene with Lucy Griffiths and Richard Armitage than in all the scenes she had with Jonas Armstrong combined!! I hope the casting director was sacked!
So trueeee, I just watched the series and I’m so disappointed :( Guy and Marian had a freaking potential together and they just threw it all away. Season 2 finale and Season 3 doesn’t exist to me.
This is where season 2 ends for me - I hate what the writers did in eps 12 and 13 (not just Guy killing Marian, but everything). Love Guy
I was so afraid how this episode would play out, and it turned out beautifully...another chance to see the love inside Guy. He really has become the hero. If he goes off to the Holy Land next season (hopefully RA will be making movies)what will we do without him?
I wish they'd cast RA as Robin Hood.
+BalfourofShaws That might have worked! He has the ability to bring depth to the characters he acts; to make us feel with them and know what they are thinking and believing. To make them truly real. And the Jonas fellow didn't quite ever seem to do that for me.

She clearly liked playing with his feelings.

His voice is amazing, among other things....
Unfortunately, that depends on what the producers need for their ending or the next series. We have 2 weeks imagine what we want.
True...character actors are born!
Loved this episode bz even though pretensions Marian kissed Guy n he was happy... Nice scene
GOD i think i have a crush on guy. he is hot and complicated. LOVE the little kiss at 9:51. and he blushed a little at 9:54!!! OMG OMG
Lol, he just stumbles away when he discovers that she is the nightwatchman. It woud have been funny if he tripped over something.....no, that's a shame on poor guy xD
Watching RA, I can almost forgive the incessant squeaking of his leather outfit. *watches the last 5 seconds of vid* Almost.
aww Guy

Both of them need serious anger management therapies!
guy is so sweet...give a guy a chance!

I want Guy and Marion to be together, because I love Guy, but it wouldn't be right to have Robin without her...
when she was sitting next Gisborne peeling the skin??????? what episode was it -- so I can re watch it.
Wow, I didn't realize it was so symbolic. I only saw the apple like once.
Oh and can anyone tell me how Guy killed her?
He's not a man- he's a traumatized and terrified child. Guy, you're stronger, taller, younger- your can have the Sheriff for lunch! Why aren't you fighting back? Why do you freeze like a deer in the headlights? Some Apex Predator you are!

what apple????
Oh, Guy, I love you at the end of this episode...and then you have to go and RUIN your character! grrrr!
@Greya77 i agree
UGH she drives me crazy! She is so incredibly naive!! Where the hell else are they supposed to put an army of mercenaries?! ugh... marian just ticks me off....
I like Robin of Sherwood better. Couldn't get better than Michael Praed and the gang!!
15 people accidentally hit the dislike button...Silly people.
A FREAKING MEN
It looks like they'll be friends now, Marian will marry Robin and Guy has to find someone else hehe.
@1FoLC1 I agree, she ripped Guy's heart out so many times she deserves what she got. She ripped the heart out of a passionate man with a sword!
Robin and Marian had conflicts in the first series but it was just not the same.
Unfortunately, since the show is Robin Hood, this feeling may not be doing the future for Guy as a character much good. But who can help it?
Marian and Robin forever!
