Richard is Absolutely Adorable in these stories. I love how he does all the different voices. He is SO GREAT at telling stories. I bet kids really like him. One more thing I Love About Richard Armitage!!!
It's incredible how he can be a storyteller of fairytales and the bad guy in Robin Hood and the gentleman in North&South... he is incredibile!!!! Great!
I was surfing in bed unable to sleep, and now I truly am feeling all warm and fuzzy and sleepy :-) His voice is so beautiful and his energy so clear, after a while i wasn't even listening to the words - just letting that gorgeous soothing voice sweep over me. Thanks Richard - you can tell me a bedtime story any time! Good night :-)
This was the cutest thing ever!!!!! Gah! I've watched it so many times already. But it's okay because I'm supposed to be sleeping anyway so I'll just watch it again so Richard ' s voice can lull me to sleep ;)
aww richard armitage & his bedtime story, had me laughing out loud at 1st, but it was the perfect thing before i go off to bed now :) i simply adore his voice, i cudnt resist watching this. the bedtime story narration was the cutest thing :)
This is too cute! He has such a soothing voice. Man, why can't I get him to read him a bedtime story? Somehow I don't think I'd fall asleep so quickly, though. ;)
on BBC America he answers fans questions - I don't know how to post it here. The questions are rather good - and he is excellent as always. Fans must know he is doing two series at the same time and one is in Hungary for six months - he is very busy and probably wants some kind of life of his own. He gives so much to all of us already. Today I listened to him read Ted Hughes letters and some other poetry - his voice is amazing
It's rather surreal to see him doing this, but it's also very sweet.... and his voice is so dreamy.... and his smile... and everything about him really =P
OMG this is so priceless it outta be on a Mastercard commercial!!! LOL!! Awesome - 5/5 & faving this baby!! TY so much for posting this - what a gem! :_)
Totally agree! I cant belive people are getting angry!? personally i would rather see him in things more than just replying to mail! i sure he will as soon as he get the time and also agree with he has a life too! Poor man! Im following him in what ever he does all the way!
Number one... I melted when he just said "hi" Number two.... I melted when he said "goodnight" Number three... I melted because i love the bed time stories he reads. Number four.... I melted the first time i heard his voice three years ago. Number five.... I just love him!
All right, there are now 3 generations of females in our family in love with RA. The 5 year old adores the one here. The 17, 29 and 54 year old are enraptured by the dark and dangerous RA in North and South and as Guy in Robin Hood. This man is powerful.
Gorgeous Man! Guess im the 10,000th woman to watch this before bedtime. I wonder how many kids actually get to watch this without mummy being in the way? Lol
I say the same thing about myself, really. Thank heaven for a screen-name. Very few people know what it is, and that makes me happy, because I wouldn't say half the stuff in real life that I let myself get away with here. YT gives me protection, and I'm grateful for that. Richard, if you are reading (ha ha), we are all harmless, I think. We just have a healthy appreciation of your talent and other great attributes.
True, so true. But however not-my-cup-of-tea he might be I love this story I'm not going out there and it's performance here - it's delighful. thanx medelle for uploading
OMG ! it's true that his voice is beautiful ! Iwould love if he read adult bedtime stories. Waouh ! It would be really a dream like his voice ! Something sweet and hot in the same times !
I found him through a fanvideo someone did in response to a Rufus Sewell fanvideo (whom I also like, but not as much as RA at this point). I remembered the clips from N&S and I went looking for it and found it on YT (God bless YT!). That's when the craziness started. I don't really have a favorite actor, just a top 5 actor list. Now, I think RA nearly leaves the other 4 in the dust.
I know, isn't Harry adorable?! I still think I love John Thornton the most, but that might just be because I love that intense stare of his (when he's looking out the window after the riot). OMG. Its hard not to just faint from that expression.
This is super cute! i was actually looking for his audio book "Sylvester" but could not find it and happened to come upon to here! at first i could not stop laughing because he was on this bed time for toddlers and now i have been watching them all day practically! :3 I feel bad that i laughed because now i get so exited when i hear these kids stories.
I've heard Mr. Armitage read a couple of books by Georgette Heyer and he's incredibly talented. He changes his voice to fit the characters just like this and draws you in. He's good! BTW... super HOT in N&S.
You know what? I think I actually first saw him in Shakespeare Retold's version of MacBeth. RA has a very small role as MacDuff, but it was actually that character that had a very powerful impact on me. I don't know why I didn't remember that he played that part til now. In this, he has children at it is so cute. He loses his temper, but then feels bad about it and its sweet. You can find RA's clips from it on YT by searching BBC Shakespeare Retold - Richard Armitage in "MAKBETH".
He makes it sound so real! He's even brilliant at acting for little kids! I was actually quite scared! [I don't know whether it was his reading I was scared of or the story] But then after the GREAAAAAT CLIMAX! Richard:It was my sister KATE! Me: Oh.... *applauses his acting and smooth voice*
This is a great series of TV spots with Armitage reading them. I wonder if the sales of the books he read went up after he read them in 2006? He has done the audio for several audiobooks too and I have bought the book and audiobook of "Sylvester" because he does narrates it. Amazing voice. But I am an American --we love a Brit accent.
I am sure he has had many relationships - who would say no to going out with him - come on! I agree with whoever posted that he would make a great Dad. Watching him read bedtime stories - He is in his mid-30's he should probably start soon - can you imagine how adorable his kids would be - again I just want him to be happy and keep working of course so we can all still drool over him and dream! (smile)
I wonder if any women have drooled over a bedtime story before. I hope he becomes a father someday (if he's not already). He doesn't seem to say much about his personal life and I respect that. He must at least have nieces and nephews because he tells it perfectly!
Audiobooks are available of BBC's Robin Hood read by Armitage. Bernard Cornwell's Lords of the North. Georgette Heyer's Sylvester and Venetia. He's currently doing another Heyer novel: A Convenient Marriage. Enjoy!
Im studying English language and this semester we are talking about stylistics, by now about phonetic devices in literature, to be precise. This story is a perfect example for that, so I tried to rewrite it as he narrates it.
Richard is Absolutely Adorable in these stories. I love how he does all the different voices. He is SO GREAT at telling stories. I bet kids really like him. One more thing I Love About Richard Armitage!!!
"I really like dinosaurs... and DRAGONS"

Love the voice he does for the ghost, cute
OMG!!! JUST LOOK AT HIM!!! He is soooo adorable and cute... absolutely divine! And this voice......!!!
It's cute, he's so into the story! Love him even more now..
This is by far the cutest thing I've ever seen... Aww!
"I really like dinosaurs" lol! Ah I want to have his children! He'd make a great father...
Thanks for posting this!
Oh my goodness. I could just listen ot his voice all day.
He has such a lovely and versatile voice. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's desperately wishing Richard would come and read a me a story!
It's incredible how he can be a storyteller of fairytales and the bad guy in Robin Hood and the gentleman in North&South... he is incredibile!!!! Great!
I would have so many of his children just so he could read stories to them at night, while I watch. He's so adorable!
Absolutely charming! I had to watch it more than once.
I came here for Richard but ended up actually loving the story !
GoldM90 Me too. I just came for him, but the story os really good
This was the cutest thing ever!!!!! Gah! I've watched it so many times already. But it's okay because I'm supposed to be sleeping anyway so I'll just watch it again so Richard ' s voice can lull me to sleep ;)

Cor, why do they always get the gorgeous guys to do these stories; I just melt!

aww richard armitage & his bedtime story, had me laughing out loud at 1st, but it was the perfect thing before i go off to bed now :) i simply adore his voice, i cudnt resist watching this. the bedtime story narration was the cutest thing :)
This is too cute! He has such a soothing voice. Man, why can't I get him to read him a bedtime story? Somehow I don't think I'd fall asleep so quickly, though. ;)
That is so cute, I'm sure my mom would like him too: ) He's a great actor and I LOVE his voice!!!
on BBC America he answers fans questions - I don't know how to post it here. The questions are rather good - and he is excellent as always.

It's rather surreal to see him doing this, but it's also very sweet.... and his voice is so dreamy.... and his smile... and everything about him really =P
Oh!!!!! I adore his voice, I'd be happy very happy if he reads a bedstory to me....he's so cute...
I love the way he speaks!!!
OMG this is so priceless it outta be on a Mastercard commercial!!! LOL!! Awesome - 5/5 & faving this baby!! TY so much for posting this - what a gem! :_)
The cuteness factor on this is ridiculous :)
Totally agree! I cant belive people are getting angry!? personally i would rather see him in things more than just replying to mail! i sure he will as soon as he get the time and also agree with he has a life too! Poor man! Im following him in what ever he does all the way!
Best bedtime story EVER! :) He can read to me anytime
Number one... I melted when he just said "hi"
Number two.... I melted when he said "goodnight"
Number three... I melted because i love the bed time stories he reads.
Number four.... I melted the first time i heard his voice three years ago.
Number five.... I just love him!
THE CUTENESS. IT'S TOO MUCH. Gosh, he's gorgeous O.O

This is so appropriate, because all I think about is bed when he is on screen.
CUTE! XD I liked his ghost voice.
I don't think I've ever paid so much attention to a bedtime story, even when I was a kid! LOL, I wonder why...
he so lovely ...
This guy keeps getting better... and more adorable.
You've got the right idea, Chica! ; )The man is GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS!!!! Isn't he just adorable in that black shirt & jeans???? Sigh......
Both, please. I'll see him anyway I can.
OMG ! it's true that his voice is beautiful ! Iwould love if he read adult bedtime stories. Waouh ! It would be really a dream like his voice ! Something sweet and hot in the same times !

Oh my frackin gawd! After his sexy promiscuous and semi-evil characters...
This has me in stitches!
OMG!!! SOOOOO ADORABLE!
i need to have babies with him

omg how brilliant! Richard would make a great father! :D
How cool is that??? Loved it!
I so agree! :D But he's so adorable.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh i hope we'll see you soon richard!!!!!!
thank you so much, I really appreciate it.
He makes it sound so real! He's even brilliant at acting for little kids! I was actually quite scared! [I don't know whether it was his reading I was scared of or the story] But then after the GREAAAAAT CLIMAX!

You can't say good night and just forget to tuck me in, Richard!
Anyway this is such an adorable story, and he tells it so well too :'D
LOL! I never imagined I'd enjoy a bedtime story so much at my age. Hmmm...I am not sure why I was so into this. There has to be a reason! ;D
Richard beautiful and .good..boy♥️♥️💘♥️
I wonder if any women have drooled over a bedtime story before. I hope he becomes a father someday (if he's not already). He doesn't seem to say much about his personal life and I respect that. He must at least have nieces and nephews because he tells it perfectly!
"And now it's time for you to go to bed. Good night. See you soon." This is probably the best thing a girl could hear him say.
I would love to hear him read" Go the F#@/ to sleep" by Adam Mansbach...lol... Love his voice!!
on one hand i'm wondering why he's reading kid's stories....
on another HIS VOICE IS SO AWESOME!!!
Ahaha, I was riveted! XD I never thought I'd enjoy a bedtime story that much.
Audiobooks are available of BBC's Robin Hood read by Armitage. Bernard Cornwell's Lords of the North. Georgette Heyer's Sylvester and Venetia. He's currently doing another Heyer novel: A Convenient Marriage. Enjoy!
This is the last thing I watch everynight, just before I go to bed, and I sleep like a baby... and I have nice dreams :-D
Im studying English language and this semester we are talking about stylistics, by now about phonetic devices in literature, to be precise. This story is a perfect example for that, so I tried to rewrite it as he narrates it.
RICHARD DON'T LAUGH AT THE VERY COLOURFUL MONSTERS OR YOU'LL BE THAT BOY WHO WANTS TO STAY UNDER THE BED! XD he's so cool!
I'm glad i'm not the only one!
This is how Thorin used to put filli and killi to bed
Kudos to the costume dept for the tight black T-shirt and jeans! Help's me understand the story.
