Contemplating on the x7 vs the x17 for the insta-clean and Pro-exchange rebuildable pump. Thanks for not doing a unboxing video! and for your cold weather needs for fresh water you can get a Dual -Thread adapter for hose to sink faucet at the HD.
Great reminder of the faucet adapter. I use one at my office to attach a hose for spraying things off out the back door. I’ll have to grab one before this fall. Since the video I’ve used it a lot more. It’s a fast learning curve. Biggest thing is to keep moving and when masking off, be sure to run hand along tape well so that it doesn’t blow the masking away. When that occurred in a couple spots I found an awesome solution that removes the overspray as fast as if I were just dusting. I put these scruffy pads on my random orbital and ran over things with some water and it just came right off. amzn.to/3uTGcl2 amzn.to/33M7zBO
In my opinion if you havent got one already, get the x17, only a few hundred more. Reason being the easy pump exchange; when your pump stops working you simply buy another pump and replace it. With the x7 you would have to replace the whole machine! Personally i use the 390, 490, and 695. However these are not in the price range of most people starting out or even professionals but they are worth every penny!!!
Sounds much louder in the video than it is when using. That’s also in a basement with concrete floor and metal stud walls which even talking has an echoing sound.
@@drbdc6136 how did you handle the corners? I just got mine and it leaked so much from the handle area, cleaned it up and finally work but the prime I used kilzone 2 was runny, not sure if it was the primer paint type but definitely disappointing, gonna try it again
@@Ricebow11 I haven’t tried kilz 2 in it. I did try kilz in a hvlp and had no luck at all. It was a cheap purple one from harbor freight but saw so many good reviews on it I tried it. Was so messy I threw it away after. Being $14 it was easier than cleaning it. Ended up just rolling the kilz 2. On the corners I just keep moving same speed on regular paint and primers.
@@drbdc6136 maybe I should’ve paid more attention to the paint I purchase, If I’m using the Graco sprayer, what sort of paint should I make sure I get for a nice painting experience?
@@Ricebow11 I’ve used both Home Depot behr and the Lowe’s valspar 4000 so far. I’ve been told by full time painter patients to go with sherwin Williams though. When I did my master bedroom with the valspar I had some runs when I went too slow and I believe that’s user technique. I had a roller with me I gave a little roll to the runs and it worked out great. Just a light roll on them.

Pump sure is running a lot mercy loud to?
In a basement with metal stud walls and no flooring. Very echoey.
Should have cleared all that good paint out in youre paint bucket instead of wasting all that paint when you sprayed it all out.
Can’t hear you
