Allah has granted me the right to live my life the way I wish to, like everyone else. It is my God given right that many people have tried to deprive me of. Where that will never happen, I decided to sit down and talk to you all about this highly debated topic, and explain its importance in my life.
If you resonate with this feeling, or even if you're one of those who constantly try to jeopardize peoples' right to live the way they want, I hope this video helped.

if she is talking about ALLAH then modesty comes from the commandments I must say, not from individual right to choose , muslim is one who submits his or her will to ALLAH.

The Qur’an addresses Islamic modest dress as follows:
“And tell the believing men to lower their gaze and be modest. That is purer for them. Lo! Allah is aware of what they do. And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to [those relatives who fall within bounds of close relationship explained in the Qur’an]...” Chapter 24, Verses 30-31.
The purpose of this modesty is to maintain the dignity of both men and women when they interact.
    • First, men are required to take the lead in respecting women. They should not engage in or approve of any activity which objectifies or demeans a woman. They are also required to cast down their gazes in humility and to observe the general philosophy of modesty of the heart and dress. They must wear decent clothing and avoid activities and places that will cause them to witness that which they should not.
    • Hijab does not prevent men and women from interacting for the purpose of study, work, performing good deeds, and so on. Rather, when hijab is mutually observed, such interactions will take place in sincerity of purpose and devoid of impropriety.
    • Women should respect themselves as dignified beings and interact with men in purity. They should not modify their behavior around men so as to seem invitingly attractive or flirtatiously pleasing and thus allow themselves to be objectified.
    • When among men who are not close relatives, women should dress modestly so that their adornment (source of beauty and attraction) is covered. Muslim scholars unanimously state that a woman should respectably cover all except her hands and face. Muslim women fulfill this requirement by wearing loose fitting clothing and covering their hair with scarves.
    • The requirements for modest dress differ between the sexes due to fundamental biological distinctions and causes of attraction. One will observe these distinctions in Western society where a relatively small number of women read pornographic magazines or visit prostitutes when compared to men who engage in such activities.
    • Contrary to some views, hijab is not a sign of inferiority of woman nor is it imposed upon her by the opposite sex. Before God, men and women are distinguished from one another only in terms of individual piety. When observing modest dress, before one another, they are distinguished by non-physical characteristics such as intellect and integrity.
    • Islamic modest dress does not socially suffocate women by denying them free and necessary movement, expression of opinion, education, health care and other human rights. Rather, hijab assists in building a sound society and reduces the number of crimes such as rape and molestation since a possible stimulus for such crimes is not present when hijab is observed. Observance of hijab is part of a larger system in Islam that when properly followed maintains the dignity of men, women, and society as a whole.

I was in European cruise and there were so many non muslim women aswell . She asked me that why u covered this much ? She said may be ur husband force u or ur religion forces you . Now my rply for her as i observe hijab because the clothing we have in islam is dress code from Allah and the more you love Allah the more u wants to be as HE SWT LIKES . In pakistan its really really hard to observe hijab . I live in saudia arab . And what i fell over here following hijab is much more easier as most parties are segregated or very very less intermixed parties .
What i felt wearing hijab is very royal and elite because everyone in my na mheram relationships i have drawn a boundary that noone can comes in my room or any room where i m sitting without knocking . So b4 entering every men knocks first and than after few secs they enter.
They lower their gaze , dont put hand infront of me to shake . Apart other ladies i have seen they dont . Many of my family memebers now coming towards this . Hijab is jot only head scarf its modesty in the way u dress , the way u talk , the u way u behave and how u deal matters of ur daily life by fearing from hell . May Allah make it easiers for us to be the support for each other for follow what Allah has asked us and refrain ourself from all wrong doings . Ameen . Lots of love for you .

Society don't have the right to tell you how to dress or appear, but Allah and his prophet have the right to tell you that, and Allah has clearly told in the quran how should a muslim woman dress and look and behave so did the prophet pbuh explained it in his ahadees and life, so it is farz on the muslim woman to obey Allah and her prophet not people or society, otherwise how she call her self a muslim if she is not even fallowing the commands of her creator and her prophet.

With all due respect here are my two cents. A Muslim man/woman don't say it is up to me to decide what I want to do with myself or my life. Muslims, as the name suggests submit to will of Allah SWT fully. Hijab has been made fardh in Surah Noor. "A woman should not decide whether she wants to take hijab". If you don't want to take hijab that's a personal decision but trying to justify it and calling it a costume sounds arrogant and I would suggest you reflect on this video. There was one preacher from Egypt who was clean shaven. When ppl used to ask him why he is not keeping a beard he would reply it is my shortcoming that I am unable to follow this aspect of Islam please pray for me that Allah gives me strength to do as He pleases. Please reconsider your stance.

It's nowhere clearly written in quran where it says its compulsory for evry woman , rather it talks about veil which can't be interpreted in just one way how a lot of people have, modesty is something thats strongly emphasized irrespective of genders in quran, nd thats something which is crucial, one more thing we r in no position to criticize any other being's creed making their dressing as a premise

    • @ssc_1

@@FizaKhan-zx5rq the entire Arabic clearly states what khimar and Jilbab means in Quran- if I say I want chai we know it’s tea- 1400 years later maybe chai is a fizzy drink- but they’ll see what we used to call chai and take that ruling- so what all the wives sahabiats all our predecessors made out of Quran and Hadith with concenus matters- end of times signs include lack of religious knowledge and stray scholars- so yes if we have a clear heart to learn Allah guides to the true ways

I get the jist of what she’s saying as it’s not for anyone to determine who is right or wrong. She’s most definitely correct in saying no one should go as far as cursing at her. I also don’t wear hijab however I don’t agree on the presentation and the language surrounding it (costume). I also believe we should ask Allah for forgiveness and pray we have the strength to follow on what he wants from us. Ameen. Your argument was so elegantly presented I had to comment.

It is extremely hurtful to see how women tear down other women. I believe it comes from their own insecurities. When a woman does hijaab she does it for Allah's sake not to impress someone. Having said this we don't have any right to tell others to do hijaab knowing it is a commitment to Allah and only to HIM Almighty! So how can they even say that. I have a cousin who is a doctor and practices full niqab. She is now a professor and a researcher at a genetic science company. She is very proud of her faith and confident. Her sister and other female cousins do not dress like her. But she NEVER tells us to do so. She goes out to every fun outing with us and enjoys at the fullest all in niqab. We respect her and so inspired by her. Her daughters started to follow the same not by force but by being inspired. That is how you make an impact. I have asked this cousin when did she feel she was ready and what was the spark that made her do a niqab. Listening to her story is so inspiring and makes me wonder why I can't do so. But her way she tells the story has no negative judgment but only specifies what and how she felt. Until few years into her marriage she chose hijaab. All on her own. It was a journey! This is what women don't understand. It is a commitment and a journey to get there. Not everyone will be able to. I think you dress very conservatively and elegantly. Hijaab is your choice. I have had some in full hijaab make comments to me with so much judgment and spite. Come to find out they were forced to wear a hijaab. Well that answers all the questions. Because they were forced and probably with that resentment they need to direct their anger towards other women.

However, when can sincerely advise you to follow the dress code prescribed by Allah in The Quran. Tabarak Ar Rahman you are a brilliant woman with an amazimg insight on life. You continue your amazing work but consider the ayat in the Quran on this issue and im pretty sure you understand that the way you dress is not in accordance then one must not say anything to you but you have to agree that the way you dress does not comply with the Quranic standrads of women's dressing.

Those who comment negative are actually jealous they cant look like you talk like you. It is their own insecurities.

Allah has given you gift of beautiful taste. It's heart warming to see that your talks are reflective of increasing understanding of Allah's beautiful religion Islam. Alhumdolliah. As Allah is also Al- Haleem, He gives enough time for spiritual evolution to take place for each and every Muslim who wants to progress in His ways. Muslim means the one who submits to Allah. Our beloved Holy Prophet Mohammed Salalah wasslam showed in his character how to show Submission to Allah, by acting on 700 commandments in HolyQu'ran. Of all the commandments of Allah, twice women have been given the commandment to cover her head and chest by taking an outer covering when they go out of their homes.
Cover or not to cover, is a personal choice. However, if the goal is to achieve Love of Allah, one tries to adopt Allah's commandments more and more. That's why it's a slow spiritual journey and Allah gives time for that as one of His attribute is Al- Haleem.
Plus asking Allah to guide us on to the straight and right path every day through salat, makes our understanding better, then ultimately a time comes, with Help of Allah, we start to adopt those ways which are in line with Holy Qu'ran 's Teachings, because by that time understanding hits home. For reference see sura Al-Nur verse 31 and Al- Ahzab verse 59.

With all due respect, when you enter Islam, hijab becomes mandatory it is a COMMAND from Allah swt not a choice. We can only show our hands and face and we must dress in the most decent way so as to not attract anyone's attention. Allah knows what is best for us He is our creator.
From a feministic point of view this may be right, but once Allah has ordered us, WE MUST OBEY WITHOUT QUESTIONING HIS DECREE.
May Allah swt guide us all.

It’s ok dear actually women get jealous of successful women so it’s natural for those women without a voice in society will surely not be able to digest you so it is wat it is…. But this episode was needed for those saddest group of ladies out there ..
And no one can directly advise others to do wat they should if they really want to cover up someone then they themselves can cover n be a good Muslim as an example for others instead of commenting from behind the parda so that people fall in love with hijab and would love to cover it with their own interest..

    Dear Ma'am love your videos.
Although Higab is Fard & mandatory but still it is your own choice.
So please don't quote any thing
regarding Jannat h jahannum which is inauthentic.
Maya Angelou was a great writer but her believes should not influence us as a Muslim.
Quran & Hadith are the best source.

sister you look so beautiful mashaAllah and well said, no one has right to judge you or anyone else never judge people by how their dressed because maybe their are more close to Allah pak than you maybe their faith in Allah pak is more stronger than you, who said people with hijabs are better then people who don't do hijab, your actions proves if your good Muslim or not your clothes doesn't, sometimes people without hijab know more about their religion than hijabs once.

This is your life lekin ap log non muslims girls ko galat message dai rahai hai kuki un mai aur hum mai hijab kai he difference hota hai baki wo ikhlaq mai hum sai bahtar hoti hai hr aak cheez mai compromise ho sakta hai lekin hijab kai mamlai mai nahi....hijab sunnat nahi hai hijab karna mandatory hai jaise nimaz padna fr ap nimaz kai baare mai kya kahti hai fr njmaz padna b zaroori nahi hai
