Beyond overpriced, sadly. I want a smart case that has a back like the book keyboard case , that kickstand really is perfect for holding a tabled in landscape mode. As for the keyboard, it can somewhat be replaced with wireless keyboard with a trackpad

I just received my S9 Ultra with the the Book Cover Keyboard. Will it make scratches on screen over time? Is it worth to buy the Smart Book Cover for that reason, and use the one with keyboard only when necessary?

Not really that's market price for a 14 inch tablet keyboard case extension. If you can afford a tablet that costly, you shouldn't have a problem paying for the keyboard
Blame Apple I guess, they got away with their $350 keyboard so Samsung following suit. Maybe grab another case for the short term and wait for a sale on it since I'm sure it will drop to $200 soon enough
Yeah it's funny, there's often some story/explanation at the start of other's videos to tell people why they are reviewing a Samsung product when in reality like you said they're just cashing in on the views. Not saying I'm not cashing in on the views because I am too, but I'd rather use the products and just share what's going on with the devices/products rather than follow some storyline/narrative to keep viewers hooked. This video and all of my video's goals are to help people learn about the products and help make the best buying decision rather than tuning into 50 other channels with vlogs, reading of spec sheets, and minimal actual real life usage. There's a few real reviewers like Flossy and Lisa from Mobiletechreviews but I'm just glad some people can benefit from the vids

ordinaryalan That origami cover was made to be used as a typical tablet case/cover that’s why no keyboard was involved. That empty spot isn’t for keyboard use. Thought that was obvious. If you got both u can easily switch between the two. For a tablet need or a PC like need with the Book Cover Keyboard.
Look around online for origami covers. I remember I wanted a typing and drawing angle on my iPad and literally no cover supported that except for one origami one made by ESR. Literally every angle and very sturdy
I'd love to see you cover the PaperNote screen cover, especially if it'll wear down the S-pen nibs or not! (considering all 3rd party matte screen protector does)

I heard that especially the trackpad wasnt that good on the s8 book cover, did they do any improvements on those area? Also it seems that the privacy screen cannot go with keyboard covers?

I'm ready to refuse shipment and ask for my money back when I realized paying for the slim case was my "reward" for ordering early. Samsung won't allow me credit to apply for the $350 case they gave away last year. They are really squeezing the customers on their pricing.
Wait until you use it for a couple of days. It sucks. You can't remove the keyboard from the case, and when trying to use it, it falls off the back since the magnets are only on halfway to accommodate the fold.

For $350, i can get a smart book cover, the note paper screen, the privacy screen, the outdoor cover case, another S-Pen and still have enough money for food, fuel and etc. Im getting all this for My Tab S9 BTW.
I have both the Samsung standard keyboard cover and the book cover (without the keyboard). Great products and definitely recommend ... awesome and quality! I do experience that it easily leaves finger prints on the covers. I use the cleaning solution / sprays for spectacle / sunglass lenses you buy at optomitrists. I wipe with a microfibre rag ... easily removes all marks or finger prints!! In South Africa you get a Samsung 45w fast charger and the keyboard cover for free should you buy / order from the Samsung online shop until end September. Should you buy somewhere else and you go online with your S9 Ultra onto Samsung members you can claim the charger and keyboard cover as a free gift ... have to provide Imei nr, upload invoice, etc. AWESOME and add to the classy feel and look! Pricey but so worth it! The S9 Ultra Tablet ... Insane quality!! Very happy Samsung user for years!!
The smart bookcover with the samsung Bluetooth keyboard called the smart keyboard trio 500 can be had for $130 total for the s9 plus. That's what I am going to go with. That little keyboard is pretty slick. It is fully compatible with Samsung tablets and phones and has its own battery, so you can put it anywhere on your workspace and use it. Even on your lap.

That Smart Book Cover case wasn’t designed to be used for a keyboard. It’s more of a typical case for a tablet. That empty part isn’t for anything it’s just to close it so it sleeps and awakes when you open it back. They made one with a keyboard to use the keyboard because that’s what it’s made for. You just switch out the Book Cover Keyboard for the Smart Book Cover to have a typical tablet case so you can use your tablet like a tablet.

Trackpad definitely better on the MacBook, video editing also arguably better on the MacBook, but display is much better on the Tab and tab is better for entertainment

I don't think you mentioned this, the back part of the kickstand does not fit the S9 Ultra. So the bottom keyboard part will technically fit but the back kickstand part won't. So either way people are going to need to upgrade, or at least buy a different type of kickstand

On my Tab S6 - I found if I needed a keyboard I was just using my laptop. The keyboard just became annoying and 99% was taken off of the tablet. With the S9 I decided to get the book cover, mainly due to it being free when pre-ordering but I also like that it can be vertical.
Hello there. Was wondering if you can answer a couple questions for me on these cases. I just got my s9 Ultra and I mainly use it to do social media edits but I also use it as my music source. Was wondering if the first cover ($300+ cover) would be able to be placed up against lets say something magnetic without the keyboard. For example let's say I have some neodymium magnets up on a wall somewhere and I want my tablet to hang from it so I can play music while I'm cooking. The other question is the same question but on the one that has a microfiber feel to it. Same scenario (without the soft part latched on), will it hang if I have enough magnets? I know these are a bit odd questions and I can just use the stand but let's just say I'm not going to use the stands to place them on a countertop because there is no countertop for whatever reason. I own the tab s8+ and here are the things I'd recommend over the official accessories: Spigen screen protector is great because installing it is really easy and it's been on my tablet for half a year now with zero marks I tried out a few cases including the official one but recently I started using one from ztotop that can support multiple angles and the quality is very nice For the keyboard I used to have the official one which was trash imo so instead I got a bluetooth keyboard from azio which is very portable and has backlighting I also got the M720 triathlon from logitech to replace the trackpad cause it was such a pain Basically never buy samsung accessories

i think you should be able to since the back is attached to separate magnets

The one with trackpad has 100% back light. I own one and you can change between 3 different modes for the backlight (low to bright)

On my Tab S6 - I found if I needed a keyboard I was just using my laptop. The keyboard just became annoying and 99% was taken off of the tablet. With the S9 I decided to get the book cover, mainly due to it being free when pre-ordering but I also like that it can be vertical.

In Australia the Book case is over $400, with the slim going for $350. But they are throwing the slim in for free with preorders.

Hello there. Was wondering if you can answer a couple questions for me on these cases.
I just got my s9 Ultra and I mainly use it to do social media edits but I also use it as my music source. Was wondering if the first cover ($300+ cover) would be able to be placed up against lets say something magnetic without the keyboard. For example let's say I have some neodymium magnets up on a wall somewhere and I want my tablet to hang from it so I can play music while I'm cooking. The other question is the same question but on the one that has a microfiber feel to it. Same scenario (without the soft part latched on), will it hang if I have enough magnets?
I know these are a bit odd questions and I can just use the stand but let's just say I'm not going to use the stands to place them on a countertop because there is no countertop for whatever reason. Please and thank you. 🙂 Also, great video explaining use cases, ha.

I ordered the smart cover. Mainly cause it has enough. Has detachable cover for screen and two different ways to have kickstand
I own the tab s8+ and here are the things I'd recommend over the official accessories:
Spigen screen protector is great because installing it is really easy and it's been on my tablet for half a year now with zero marks
I tried out a few cases including the official one but recently I started using one from ztotop that can support multiple angles and the quality is very nice
For the keyboard I used to have the official one which was trash imo so instead I got a bluetooth keyboard from azio which is very portable and has backlighting
I also got the M720 triathlon from logitech to replace the trackpad cause it was such a pain
Basically never buy samsung accessories
S9 series has biometric, will it still work with spigen's screen protector? Thanks!
