Love that laugh.
I've removed a fair amount of tires manually, and this depiction of the process is unlike any tire I've ever removed. The lip of the tire sticks like it is glued onto the rim, it never separated from the rim easily like depicted here. Unless your tire was recently mounted, expect for the process to be much more difficult than this "Disney" version of the process.
You can drive on the tire with it flat to help break the bead, but need to be careful of damaging the wheel if aluminum, possibly on grass or any soft surface.
Did you use this exact method if not then your comment is kind of irrelevant cause yes you’ve removed plenty of tires manually but that’s why he made this video to she people an easier way to do it. And if you were using this method well then my comment is irrelevant
This video is irrelevant dude clearly just had that tire put on. You people have probably "removed tire from rim" exactly the way he did. Not at all
I've used that method, but with a piece of 10" of 2x4 on the tire, it's better.
@@robertotr You are replying to username, right? IOW, you took that 10' 2x4, put it on the tire abutted to the rim (but NOT on the rim), and then you drove onto the 10' wood like it was a ramp until the bead broke, right?
Delete this bullshit you didn't remove the tire from the rim
Oh my God this video is very useful for me thank You for posting this video
@@adrian4ever Thank you for your comment.
This method breaks the bead, but the job's only half done. You still have to get the tire over the rim to remove it, which is a bit of a struggle without the right tools.
You never break the bead at the valve stem. Possible damage to your TPMS sensor if you have one
That's why it's recommended to replace them.
@@robertotr? Replace your sensor every time you get new tires is recommended? Are you serious?
Holy shit. Thanks
🤣😂🤣
This was a pain to do today, but you saved me so much more pain
I'm glad I could help 🙂
Just use a crowbar
Daddy, why’s there a huge hole in the floor of your car? I needed something heavy 😞
🤣😂🤣 I like your comment 👍
@@CarGuruDIY lol 😂 it’ll definitely work if you put it in the right spot. But I can totally see someone that doesn’t know what they’re doing trying this under the floor board or on the oil pan or god forbid the fuel tank 😂
I did the same thing basically, except I put the front steel wheels of the rolling floor jack up on the tire, put 3 pcs of 2x6 under the rears to level it, then jacked up to the Hidden Hitch assembly. Front wheels unseated the tire first try. Same for the reverse side of tire. The hard part is getting off the rim.😂
This is correct, except that it can take two jacks for some tires. I use bottle jacks and my front porch.
The 2nd thing is to remember to push the tire down on one side after you've broken the beads. This makes it much easier to remove the front of the tire from the rim.
Take my 15 dollars for the repair at a shop and i would be back home in time to watch the next video on how to install and mount it !! 😂😂😂😂
😂🤣😂
Maybe, but sometimes tire shop is busy and you have to wait. What's more if you can mount tier yourself, then you can get cheap used tires and mount it yourself.
I've taken off the tire then slowly lowered the body to break the bead
Now, how'd you get the new tire on...
You can try use this method, but be more careful that this guy 😊ua-cam.com/users/shortsHPk9AgO3Jng
or, I need make new video how to do it
😂
He didn't even take it off. He just broke the bead on it that was recently mounted
Reversing onto it with a peice of wood is helpful
🤔
It’s dangerous
Yes it is, but you can save a time and money 💰
@@CarGuruDIY Yeah and take the risk , makes sense
How so?
Someone out there will put the jack between a fuel tank and tire and cause more damage to the other car! Do not do this, unless you are aware of what your pinning the tire against!
@@christosvolikakis1523 They shouldn't be doing this in the first place if they do that.
I’ve separated my boxer engines like this😂
🤣
Don't destroy your tire 😂
How to smash one side of your tire😂😂😂👎🏼
Hi, will this trick work any type of jack?(I have a jack that goes upward when pressed up and down)
I think this method will work with every type of jack
@@CarGuruDIY ok thanks, just subscribed as well.
Every scissor jack goes up when cranked. The one in vid does too if were on the ground. But using the top of the jack against the trailer hitch as an anchor like the vid shows, it forces the bottom of the jack to go downwards.
Yours will do the exact same, as would any scissor jack.
The fact that this isn't obvious to you and you asked the question speaks volumes about how much common sense is in your head. 😳
@@Jarod1941commenter didn't seem to be talking about scissor jacks, jack... Now go back to beating your wife
Power drill?
Good idea 👍
How much you deflating
@@TheGoldnDogif you want to remove tire from rim so inside the tire must be no air pressure at all
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! THIS IS GENIUS!!!
I agree. I am cutting mine off.
