I spent almost 30 years now with photoshop and I‘ still learning new stuff. It is an incredible piece of software. Thanks Jesus, well explained (as always).
Thank you so much. I am a limited photoshop user. My hobby is sports photography and a portion of the games I shoot is from a high position. I have been unable to understand how to change the perspective of some of my shots to bring my subject into a more "ground level" view. This video provides me a great way to start practicing and h hopefully master it. Majority of the time I don't have those straight lines to work with, i.e. white ice, grass field. Any further comments would be greatly appreciated to help me understand this. My usual workflow during games is to use photoshop as I need to send in pictures quickly during the event. Afterwards, to finish my gallery for the school and my website I utilize both Lightroom and Photoshop.
Steven, thanks for watching! And I would suggest to play around with the tool and once you develop an eye for it you won't need to stick to the lines. You might even start to think about what photoshop can edit as you take the photo.
i dont know if you would believe this or not.. but i was just messing up with chatgpt and asked it about a best youtube channel to learn photoshop, and it gave me your link!! So be just commenting on this video it will be my first video on your channel!! I'll check all ur videos... i have complete faith on the AI 🤪😜 Hope i'll learn photoshop before my post graduation assignments 🤕😷
The end of the video is very weird, i thought that it will be continue or atleast end on END NOTE/SPEECH. Hahahha... But very good and informative video.
Hi Jesus, I have a question regarding a raw files. After I edit a raw picture, in lightroom, can I start editing it again from the beggining? It becomes highlighted? I could not start all over?
Hi Rod, I'm not sure I understand your question. But all edits in Lightroom are non-destructive. You should be able to reset a file and start again from the beginning.
This is the best instructional video on Perspective Warp yet! Thank you so much for these examples, I finally feel like I understand how to successfully use this tool 1000% better!
@@PhotoshopTrainingChannel Hi.Thank you for the reply. Yes,with all the photos. I did however find a fix for this- I turned " Older GPU mode(pre 2016)" on in preferences. It works now.
I have used Perspective Warp so many times, but now I find I was missing at least half of what it can do. Perhaps the biggest hole in my understanding is that I did not realise you can have a third quadrant to cover the top of an object, or have multiple quadrants like in your demo of the steps. I don't think I have ever watched a PTC video without learning something, and I consider myself an expert user. IME, the only person who comes close to your understanding of how Photoshop works is Bert Monroy, and he is my #1 Photoshop hero. I TA'd for Bert at MAX in 2016 and I was so tongue tied when I spoke to him, I could hardly talk. BTW I did speak to you when I was with Chuck Uebele when he said hello. I shall definitely be saying hello again if I ever get back to MAX (I am in New Zealand, and even with a TA gig, MAX is expensive). So thanks again for the countless times you have made me a better Photoshop user.
why not chose an image of a building and go from there I got lost just you add it the cube people that make tutorials always skip the most important part
You're awesome Bro.......No words..... it's amazing.......well explained. It's helps me a lot to brush up my skills in Photoshop with your guidance in the video. Thank you Brother 🙏
Jesus, you're awesome!!! I knew a little about this powerful tool. But! The trick with putting pattern on steps has blown my mind! Without exaggerations, your PTC is the best one!
@@PhotoshopTrainingChannel There are 4 files there, but none of them are the file Jesus is using. They are perspective-warp-001 and -002.psd and perspective-warp-003 and -004.jpg. None of them has the box.
Absolutely fantastic tutorial!!! I have some photos of the factory floor at my company and want to place some clean work benches, using the warp tool is going to make so this very possible, thank you😊
Vanishing Point is similar but has other advantages (and disadvantages). I would consider using Vanishing Point when placing a graphic in perspective and a non-destructive workflow is not required.

Any tip for doing the last example in reverse? Resulting in a flat, undistorted image of the pattern to use elsewhere.

Is there a way to change a photo taken in 16:9 aspect ratio to 16:20 for printing without distortion?
Kind of. It depends on the content. You can watch this video, and try this technique.
