I just bought a ps2 to play this one again, sadly my original one from when i was 5 got bricked but i still have all the cables and controller, and thank god the 8MB memory card! oh god the memory card, its so huge for 8mb. I can't wait for my new(used but new to me) PS2 to come so i can put the memory card in and see what is still on there. I'm also really happy i still have a tv that can play it properly so i don't have any weird distortions.

Oh Spyro...how youve fallen from grace. I like skylanders but its not even about spyro anymore. In fact, I think that spyro figures are even LESS common as each game is released. I only played this one out of all the true spyro games, but I saw the other ones and this game definately holds up their great gameplay imo.
I actually think this a very good representation of Spyro's Journey. I see it as a way of the Creators telling us what they want to do with the serie and where they want to take it from here on out. the LOS instalments represent that PERFECTLY

Push D-Pad when Spyro (Cutscenes) is used a other new breath attack can now use a switch Elemental: D-Pad Up = Fire, D-Pad Right = Electricity, D-Pad Down = Ice or D-Pad Left = Earth. Note: use any melee attack a change colour after switch Elemental. Fire = Red, Electricity = Yellow, Ice = Blue or Earth = Green.
I swear the fans of the originals are the worst. Why can't I like The legend series? They say it's not a true Spyro game which just makes you sound weird and stupid and that you turned Spyro into religion and that its blasphemy to think that the legend series is a Spyro game and to like enter the dragonfly. Grow up people I'm a fan of the original and legend series but for the Spyro fandom mostly fans of the original you can only like the original or legend why can't someone like both series. If the legend series had the exact same gameplay as the originals then the series would be very boring only because you do the exact same thing in the originals by the time I got to year of the dragon I was getting bored because of how similar it was to the others and if the legend series did the same I probably would have just skipped it. Also fans of the originals only seem to think that the originals have no problems and that everything is great about them truth is that the originals have a lot of problems and the bosses in the first were terrible and in the third were boring. I really like Spyro I've played the originals, Enter the dragonfly (which was my first one), Orange, heroes tale, attack of the rinocs, and the legend series and I like them all to some degree like enter the dragonfly and orange for nostalgia and the ready because I enjoy them. But the fans of the originals make me hate every game cause they just want the exact same game over and over again. It's just a pointless argument but man the original fans annoy me. On the other hand a new beginning is what basically killed the franchise and made spyro into a skylanders figure. Again let me reiterate I don't mind people liking this game it's still fun and it's a great game, but it's not a great spyro game, I like to think of this game as a spinoff and honestly i don't mind it being that.

Sorry but just because something different and made by a different company doesn't mean its not what you want. I love the originals and all the other games of spyro including Enter the dradonfly. So there's more combat involved and not collecting stuff in the first Legend of Spyro but to be honest I was getting tired of just running around and collecting things in all the other Spyro games. Its fine if you don't like it but just because you don't like it doest mean its not a spyro game unless its Skylanders. We all can agree that's not a Spyro game.

I haven't had this or Eternal Night or even played them in years, I still have Dawn of the Dragon on the DS and still play it but I haven't in a while

Dawn of the Dragon was a pathetic conclusion to this interesting series.
