I actually hate that he can talk at all... I mean, not that it is a bad Thing, but the way he talks and how he is a complete show-off and sometimes asshole doesnt fit the Dragon fly i know from the first 3 games at all and that's what i hate about it. He should be helping and and comforting, not annoying and full of pride over things he didn't even helped at. 41:20 is a perfect example here. Sparx actually is the reason why i played this game only once in the past 10 years after i bought it. And if it wasn't for that show-off fly, DotD could actually be my favourite part of The Legend of Spyro (and i count the first 3 games here too because there the legend started).

With the plot and characters involved throughout the series, Legend of Spyro seems like an awesome ending and farewell to him. To the real Spyro we all loved and remember. Englanders is okay, but I think they should've left Spyro and Cynder out of the game. They were more powerful in the Legend games but suck in Englanders. Even the looks seemed messed and too cartoony too. Despite all the flaws and stuff, I can definitely say the Legend of Spyro series was a great and epic finish to Spyro. ( And Cynder too). From small beginnings to epic ending. Thanks Spyro for being awesome and sticking around for this long. We are gonna miss you and everyone. And Cynder too. Peace out and enjoy your big epic finish.

As someone who played the original games in their childhood. I absolutely loved playing this reboot series and I'm glad they went out with a bang with it. The story, the characters and their voice actors. I enjoyed every detail they put into it and it's really a shame to see where the Spyro franchise has gone. I look at games like Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper that have gotten new games on the new systems and it's sad to think Spyro could have received the same treatment.
***** Unfortunately, it is sad. Now and days, gaming companies are only going for big money maker game title like Halo or Final Fantasy. 2014 was the worst for gaming. Now its hard to find any great story based games with decent gameplay. Destiny would have been a great game but the leveling up system sucked. TitanFall was an awesome game but it had no clear storyline nor a main character to look up to. Only good games now are old ones and hand held one's. Spyro was sold out like Crash was back then. At least Spyro went out with an epic ending with Cynder in Legend. Best Spyro game games I've played. Sad that goodbyes are bittersweet.

The Legend Of Spyro is definitly Lord Of The Ring as well XD Warfang = Minas Tirith, they pronounce Golem as Gollum, Ignitus = Gandalf, Hunter = Aragorn, Prowlus = Elrond, Gaul = Saruman, The Well of Souls = Orodruin, The Burned Lands = Mordor, Malefor gets absorbed into the Core and the world blows up = the Ring gets destroyed by the lava and Oroduin/Barad-Dur blows up. Let's not forget Elijah Wood ^^
I've found similarities to The Last Airbender as well. Four elements Spyro had to learn, then he goes missing for years. When he's found, he finds out war broke out in his disappearance and discovers the world rests on his shoulders

Omg Malefor was one of the best villains in the Spyro series. I was fooled into believing him when he told Spyro that Cynder tricked him, only to realize that he only said all that to weaken Cynder's defenses and possess her. And knowing Cynder's fears of being under his control only worsened the situation because she admitted how terrified she was of him and her past. She doesn't want to hurt Spyro again. That mofo not only fooled them but me as the player because I was trying to remember and figure when this happened because IT NEVER DID.
Okay guys see it like this Spyro in Skylanders is not the same Spyro from the game trilogy. See it as an alternate universe, since Skylanders is not canon to the main game and it is a different Spyro altogether.
I think that spyro and cynder dying, isn't a bad ending if that is what would have happaned. However, he says that there is no trace of spyro and cynder in the book and we do get to see him and cynder fly off together. They probably left to be with each other.
I love Spyro, I grew up playing the ps1 games. I played them so much that I can get 100% on the first 3 games. So i'm more of a fan of the classic Spyro and I like the story to TLoS series but I dont like how Spyro looks as much in these games, I always wanted to play a game of Spyro of him being an adult. Now I wanna get out my old Spyro games and take a trip down memory lane....I also loved Croc, Gex, and Crash. So those four characters on the ps1 are iconic to me because they were the games of my childhood with Spyro being my favorite.

Clayton Bailey I say you're wrong there. I thought Christina Ricci did awesome. That's why I love her in most of her roles. I mean, maybe one thing they could've done was show both she and Spyro crying after Ignitus dies. That would have been a good scene, but I understand how sometimes it can be hard to be put in. But yeah, I thought she did amazing, and I'll never stop loving her role as Cynder (truthfully, I love Cynder more than I ever will Spyro).
Don't get me wrong, she didn't do a bad job by any means. I just think she could've done better in scenes where Cynder is yelling or getting upset about something. You know, moments when she loses her composure.
Well, when it comes to this, I always think of my emotions and how I speak when I'm sad or otherwise, and sometimes, I have a voice like Cynder's (I'm a guy, so it's a little different) because I'm the one who tries to comfort others. I thought she did quite well when it came to comforting Spyro, and when it came to the Hermit and the confrontation with Malefor. Those three scenes were the best of hers, although she did amazing in every one of them, if you ask me. :)
I love this game to death it was the best spyro game ever out of all of them at least in my opinion and I lost this game for my wii about five years ago and I've regreted it so much ever since then I was literally three levels away from the end of the game and watching this whole video makes me sad cause I'm reminded of how I can't play it anymore... 😥 :'( lol :/ :)
I love how epic it is when the volcano just blows up the planet while they were right above it and they tank it with no damage afterwards. Then Spyro puts the entire planet back together with no fatigue what so ever. Seriously he is op.
Cynder is in it as well. The last game of Spyro (which means this one) was distributed by Activision /Blizzard so stuff are making sense. Ignitus can't find Spyro or Cynder because they are in another world...the Skylands.

Having only played them for the first time earlier this year (I have a long history of disinterested interest with Spyro), I agree that it would be great to see this trilogy get the Reignited treatment. Especially if they decided to rebuild the games from the ground up, and improve on some of the flaws. All three of them are enjoyable, but the first two could do with an overhaul to make their gameplay a bit less clunky. I was also thinking it would be neat to introduce some of the mechanics from the third game into the previous two, such as armor pieces for customization (and, of course, rebalanced difficulty to compensate). And maybe even a Complete Story mode where you play through all three games consecutively, with your upgrades and abilities carrying over from one game to the next (again, with rebalanced difficulty from playing them individually). Making it feel more like a grand adventure, rather than three separate yet consecutive adventures.
This was a real improvment in the Spyro gaming graphics, I really wish they remade the cutscenes and regular game graphics of the old Legend of Spyro games like Dawn
You know what I think? I think when they made skylanders, they probably got the idea from the now floating chunks of land. In my opinion, I think skylanders is an interesting concept with a good marketing technique, but I do believe it "killed" Spyro. I think they could've made skylanders with a different protagonist and we could've had that Spyro movie ;)

Dawn of the Dragon was one of the best games I ever played. Like, top 10 or top 15. It had great combat, a good story, well-hidden collectibles, fun abilities, unique levels and co-op. If there ever was a tragedy in gaming, it's that this and Crash Mind Over Mutant (the game advertised in the back of the game's instruction manual) were effectively the last games in their series (I know, Skylanders has Spyro in it. But it's not really a series about Spyro). Both games had so much potential, so much room for improvement on an already good foundation. And then it all melted away...
It's kind of interesting. I can see a lot of similarities between The Legend of Spyro and Avatar: The Last Airbender, not the least of which is that the main villain in both series is voiced by Mark Hamill.
God, Christina Ricci sounds so damn unenthusiastic as Cynder in DotD. It's like she's just reading the script; there's just a lack of effort put into it. Take 49:20, for example: "No, Spyro! Don't!" No effort at all put into that line. Ugh. Could they have not gotten a better actress?
She was the best! Nobody could beat her, if you ask me. Mae Whitman was okay, but her role was too short. Cynder didn't appear as much in that one, unfortunately. But she was in every cutscene here, which is what I like, and I thought Christina Ricci couldn't have done better. :)
One problem I have with Dawn of the Dragon: What Is With The Barney Mouths?? I mean, Spyro and Cynder are the only dragons in this game with actual fangs.
Amber Williamson When I was talking about Barney Mouths, I was referring to every dragon OTHER than Spyro and Cynder. Ignitus, Volteer, Cyril, Terrador, the Chronicler, even Malefor, they all have 'Barney Mouths' in this game. I think it was either a mistake or laziness on the developer's part.
Well given the fact that they were pretty much friends for the majority of the series, I found it rather bleh when they decided to make them a couple. I mean can we just have a male and female team without the end result being them becoming a thing? It's kind of overdone for me.
I think the creator of spyro should make another game of spyro not like skylanders but like spyro cynder and sparx and all the other characters that would be cool

suicidal Ungame to be honest, I do love this version of Spyro, it had a good story and interesting characters. I do think Skylanders is a good game (I've been playing it since Giants) and it has a lot of potential. My only problem with the Skylanders story as of late is that it's becoming repetitive, sure the games always have new ideas and gameplay, but the story is lacking. I'm not hating or anything, but the story line for basically every game after Giants or Swap Force is "Skylands in danger, get skylanders, fight Kaos, defeat Kaos, we win". I was honestly hoping that Kaos' reigh as main bad guy would end after Trap Team. They would keep Kaos locked in a rebuild, sturdier Cloudcraker Prison and a new baddie would be introduced. They changed things up in Swap Force with Kaos' mother being the boss fight. So, I don't hate the Skylanders games, I am quite a fan of the series. I just kinda wish they could add more to the story line. Maybe I'm being too demanding, I mean they have to think of new mechanics and Skylanders profiles so maybe they have too much on their plate. But.... If there is one thing I will talk about criticizingly is the show: Skylanders Academy I know a few people may be fans of the show, seeing the characters talking and interacting and heck DanTDM was a guest star voice actor in the imaginators episode. My only problem is probably the characters personalities. Sure some of them act mostly in character (Stealth Elf's serious side as example) but how their personalities play out in the show is kinda weird. I mean they all seem to act like little kids and Spyro's character is kinda sad compared to the one in his core games. In the show and in-game, Spyro acts like a kid and is trying throw a few weird puns here or there. I'm not saying I hate it, it's just weird for me. I was hoping that Spryo would be kinda like Leonardo from TMNT 2012. Serious, sense of leadership, but still Innocent and childish (and occasionally saying a cheesy superhero line every now and then). Since the first game (Spyro's Adventure) and how he is literally the only Skylanders to have been called by name. He seems to be kinda of the chosen one, not to mention his bio on the Skylanders wiki that he is part of an Uber rare purple dragon species that is unknown, and that his adventures always played him as the leader of the Skylanders. I was hoping to see more of a leadership kinda personality to him. Again, maybe I'm being over critical or stubborn, you guys choose. Please don't be mean, I am merely stating my mind and not trying to 'hate' on anything. I'm not trying to be ride or bullying in any sort of way. For those who have read through my literal short essay, thanks for powering through. Let me know what you think.

When I play this game for the first time, I knew Cynder loved Spyro. I find and feel it very touching and sweet.

Omg Malefor was one of the best villains in the Spyro series.
I was fooled into believing him when he told Spyro that Cynder tricked him, only to realize that he only said all that to weaken Cynder's defenses and possess her. And knowing Cynder's fears of being under his control only worsened the situation because she admitted how terrified she was of him and her past. She doesn't want to hurt Spyro again.
That mofo not only fooled them but me as the player because I was trying to remember and figure when this happened because IT NEVER DID.
After a year passes, they should "Reignite" the "Legend of Spyro" Trilogy.

Okay guys see it like this Spyro in Skylanders is not the same Spyro from the game trilogy. See it as an alternate universe, since Skylanders is not canon to the main game and it is a different Spyro altogether.

I think that spyro and cynder dying, isn't a bad ending if that is what would have happaned. However, he says that there is no trace of spyro and cynder in the book and we do get to see him and cynder fly off together. They probably left to be with each other.

I love Spyro, I grew up playing the ps1 games. I played them so much that I can get 100% on the first 3 games. So i'm more of a fan of the classic Spyro and I like the story to TLoS series but I dont like how Spyro looks as much in these games, I always wanted to play a game of Spyro of him being an adult. Now I wanna get out my old Spyro games and take a trip down memory lane....I also loved Croc, Gex, and Crash. So those four characters on the ps1 are iconic to me because they were the games of my childhood with Spyro being my favorite.

Clayton Bailey I say you're wrong there. I thought Christina Ricci did awesome. That's why I love her in most of her roles. I mean, maybe one thing they could've done was show both she and Spyro crying after Ignitus dies. That would have been a good scene, but I understand how sometimes it can be hard to be put in. But yeah, I thought she did amazing, and I'll never stop loving her role as Cynder (truthfully, I love Cynder more than I ever will Spyro).
Don't get me wrong, she didn't do a bad job by any means. I just think she could've done better in scenes where Cynder is yelling or getting upset about something. You know, moments when she loses her composure.
Well, when it comes to this, I always think of my emotions and how I speak when I'm sad or otherwise, and sometimes, I have a voice like Cynder's (I'm a guy, so it's a little different) because I'm the one who tries to comfort others. I thought she did quite well when it came to comforting Spyro, and when it came to the Hermit and the confrontation with Malefor. Those three scenes were the best of hers, although she did amazing in every one of them, if you ask me. :)

I love how epic it is when the volcano just blows up the planet while they were right above it and they tank it with no damage afterwards. Then Spyro puts the entire planet back together with no fatigue what so ever. Seriously he is op.
I have no problem with skylanders as a game. That being said, I hate skylanders as a game they put Spyro in. (I don't qualify it as a real Spyro game)

Cynder is in it as well. The last game of Spyro (which means this one) was distributed by Activision /Blizzard so stuff are making sense. Ignitus can't find Spyro or Cynder because they are in another world...the Skylands.
Maybe in the next skylanders game, they'll escape back to their world and start being in Spyro games again. I wish.

Having only played them for the first time earlier this year (I have a long history of disinterested interest with Spyro), I agree that it would be great to see this trilogy get the Reignited treatment. Especially if they decided to rebuild the games from the ground up, and improve on some of the flaws. All three of them are enjoyable, but the first two could do with an overhaul to make their gameplay a bit less clunky. I was also thinking it would be neat to introduce some of the mechanics from the third game into the previous two, such as armor pieces for customization (and, of course, rebalanced difficulty to compensate). And maybe even a Complete Story mode where you play through all three games consecutively, with your upgrades and abilities carrying over from one game to the next (again, with rebalanced difficulty from playing them individually). Making it feel more like a grand adventure, rather than three separate yet consecutive adventures.
This was a real improvment in the Spyro gaming graphics, I really wish they remade the cutscenes and regular game graphics of the old Legend of Spyro games like Dawn

You know what I think? I think when they made skylanders, they probably got the idea from the now floating chunks of land. In my opinion, I think skylanders is an interesting concept with a good marketing technique, but I do believe it "killed" Spyro. I think they could've made skylanders with a different protagonist and we could've had that Spyro movie ;)

Dawn of the Dragon was one of the best games I ever played. Like, top 10 or top 15. It had great combat, a good story, well-hidden collectibles, fun abilities, unique levels and co-op. If there ever was a tragedy in gaming, it's that this and Crash Mind Over Mutant (the game advertised in the back of the game's instruction manual) were effectively the last games in their series (I know, Skylanders has Spyro in it. But it's not really a series about Spyro). Both games had so much potential, so much room for improvement on an already good foundation. And then it all melted away...
Well I find it sad for all Spyro the dragon lovers that there was gonna be a Spyro movie but was cancelled in 2010

God, Christina Ricci sounds so damn unenthusiastic as Cynder in DotD. It's like she's just reading the script; there's just a lack of effort put into it. Take 49:20, for example:

No effort at all put into that line. Ugh. Could they have not gotten a better actress?
She was the best! Nobody could beat her, if you ask me. Mae Whitman was okay, but her role was too short. Cynder didn't appear as much in that one, unfortunately. But she was in every cutscene here, which is what I like, and I thought Christina Ricci couldn't have done better. :)

One problem I have with Dawn of the Dragon: What Is With The Barney Mouths?? I mean, Spyro and Cynder are the only dragons in this game with actual fangs.
Amber Williamson When I was talking about Barney Mouths, I was referring to every dragon OTHER than Spyro and Cynder. Ignitus, Volteer, Cyril, Terrador, the Chronicler, even Malefor, they all have 'Barney Mouths' in this game. I think it was either a mistake or laziness on the developer's part.

suicidal Ungame to be honest, I do love this version of Spyro, it had a good story and interesting characters. I do think Skylanders is a good game (I've been playing it since Giants) and it has a lot of potential. My only problem with the Skylanders story as of late is that it's becoming repetitive, sure the games always have new ideas and gameplay, but the story is lacking. I'm not hating or anything, but the story line for basically every game after Giants or Swap Force is "Skylands in danger, get skylanders, fight Kaos, defeat Kaos, we win". I was honestly hoping that Kaos' reigh as main bad guy would end after Trap Team. They would keep Kaos locked in a rebuild, sturdier Cloudcraker Prison and a new baddie would be introduced. They changed things up in Swap Force with Kaos' mother being the boss fight. So, I don't hate the Skylanders games, I am quite a fan of the series. I just kinda wish they could add more to the story line. Maybe I'm being too demanding, I mean they have to think of new mechanics and Skylanders profiles so maybe they have too much on their plate.
But.... If there is one thing I will talk about criticizingly is the show: Skylanders Academy
I know a few people may be fans of the show, seeing the characters talking and interacting and heck DanTDM was a guest star voice actor in the imaginators episode. My only problem is probably the characters personalities. Sure some of them act mostly in character (Stealth Elf's serious side as example) but how their personalities play out in the show is kinda weird. I mean they all seem to act like little kids and Spyro's character is kinda sad compared to the one in his core games. In the show and in-game, Spyro acts like a kid and is trying throw a few weird puns here or there. I'm not saying I hate it, it's just weird for me. I was hoping that Spryo would be kinda like Leonardo from TMNT 2012. Serious, sense of leadership, but still Innocent and childish (and occasionally saying a cheesy superhero line every now and then). Since the first game (Spyro's Adventure) and how he is literally the only Skylanders to have been called by name. He seems to be kinda of the chosen one, not to mention his bio on the Skylanders wiki that he is part of an Uber rare purple dragon species that is unknown, and that his adventures always played him as the leader of the Skylanders. I was hoping to see more of a leadership kinda personality to him. Again, maybe I'm being over critical or stubborn, you guys choose.
Please don't be mean, I am merely stating my mind and not trying to 'hate' on anything. I'm not trying to be ride or bullying in any sort of way.
