I like how they got in a variation on the Mr Dark fight from the old GBC game. And the music for the Dark Rayman dogfight and the final battle are both pretty solid original pieces as far as I can tell

Totally agree, that design is simply sublime
As much as the original is a classic I did always feel like the ending seemed a bit unfinished and the final battle with Mr Dark felt a bit anti-climatic with the great protune storyline not resolved. This fan labour of love completely knocked the ending out of the water! It deserves an official release! The Rayman version of Sonic Mania 😁👏
Like that ending definitely had some Colors vibes. Like, after you defeat Mr. Dark, a giant black hole erupts and threatens to consume the world
The fight against Mr. Dark here is WAAAAY better than in the original. I love how you put in the fight from the game boy version as phase 2 and the amalgamation is phase 1 this time.
You're telling me. It feels weird to get to him only to have to do a boss rush afterwards in the original. This version feels like it gives more closure.

PhoenixAlaris93 they at least imply the amalgamation in the original is Mr. Dark shape shifting considering the health bar stays his. Either way i prefer this game to the original. Also hey dude! It certainly has been a long time. I’m doing alright. What about you?

The difference is that Mr. Dark doesn't shape-shift like in the original.
But instead, uses the Great Protoon to create the Amalgamation (Originally Darktoon was gonna be That Monstrosity but that was scrapped).
Damn the Mr Dark fight is like 100 times more badass now. The creator did an excellent job, there are so many new bosses, it's insane.

It was also missing Mr dark teasing Rayman at the beginning, and it was also missing the part where Rayman shrinks when fighting the hopping mosquito part.

An amazing masterpiece by the developer of this. The detail in the Amalgamation boss fight with the thunder lighting up the windows when you hit the boss, but the windows of the mixed bosses phases. Props to the work on this.
Yeah, each window is a different boss, and when u hit that piece, thunder strikes that area

The only Thing that´s missing in this Boss-Fight is the Part when Mr. Dark almost kills Rayman with 2 Fire-Barriers

Undoubtedly the best fan game ever made. I couldn't believe how much new content it has and the quality of it, as well as the additions and tweaks to the existing stages. Absolute masterpiece of a game

I was kinda referencing the fact that in origins, the magician was a teensie instead of a thingamajig like Rayman and he was evil from the start. I was just wondering if there was a boss fight for the magician that appears in Rayman 1 and Redemption

Well yes, it's a good tribute to the very og of Rayman series, but I don't think I ever seen something go terribly wrong. It's just another good Rayman game. Те же щи, но наваристей и гуще.

Well the dialogue affects kind of catches the goofy nature of Rayman 1
This fan made game has cleared alot of elements that were missing from the original. Like Mr Dark being the main antagonist and you dont even get to fight him. Its like he disappeared and gone. This fan made at least gets us to fight Mr Dark and many more boss fights.

In the red mosquito fight sometimes there's perfect timing of the mosquito realizing that rayman's fist is going right to his face and for some reason is funny
The Space Mama fights look so much better!
Once everyone figured out the hack for defeating skops homing lasers with a punch, it was too easy. Skops needed those new moves
In demo Bizzit says: "Wait...You not mr dark's ally? Why you don't talk to me soon?" and then you do victory dance
well atleast it adds context on what he meant by suspicious people, he doesn't want Mr. Dark and his army at his home so he try to do self defense but when attacking rayman, oof moment

Very cool. Some of the new assets could match the style a bit better, though. Also the rotating sprites only bug me because they don't distort at all. Old school games used the ray-casting technique.
Could I get an example of that rotating distortion?

The only flaw I can find is that Ryamanni removed the shape-shifting ability of Mr. Dark in the final battle where he originally tramsformed into hybrids of the previous bosses.

I feel like I need to state something.
That is not DARK RAYMAN, that is BAD RAYMAN. They are entirely different characters
Dark Rayman is from an entirely different game, and there are clear differences between the two
Dark Rayman has purple skin, while Bad Rayman's is grey. Dark Rayman's hair is also a bluish-purple as opposed to Bad Rayman's plum-colored hair. Dark Rayman also has a blue scarf, which Bad Rayman does not, rather his is pink. Also, Dark Rayman's looks more like the end of a rectangle (pointier) while Bad Rayman's pelvis is more rounded.
Just figured it was necessary to point this out. People confuse the two characters a LOT and it does bother me.
Yanno, I can't help but shake the feeling that, much like every other prop Actin' Mama uses in her shows, the Trayan Horse is also made of household appliances or tools. I just can't tell which ones...
