One of my favorites is take a stick of butter and make it stand tall and then take a glass and fill with hot water and then empty and then cover the stick of butter with the empty glass.

The quickest way is to put in microwave on the DEFROST setting in intervals of 6 to 8 seconds until desired softness. I usually put in for 8 seconds on defrost then turn the stick over and defrost for another 6 seconds and it's perfect every time.

Excellent instructions. Precise and very useful. I'll be baking bread where the recipe calls for softened butter. Your video was what I needed. Thanks very much.

Thanks I always had problem when trying the microwave where it either didn’t become soft at all and if I added a extra second or two it would just melt so these tips really helped a lot

This was very helpful thank you! I always put it in the microwave but then it just turns to liquid which isn't useful
or I try to spread it cold, also not useful

i flattened butter with a roller but it still wasn't the right consistency to cream it with sugar. my apt and kitchen is on the cold side too so that doesn't help.

Fastest way to make julienne cutting without slicing your fingers 😂 I keep trying but they kept sliding around!
It's easy to watch it but really hard to do. It's not like vegetables like cucumbers are not juicy so they do tend to move around when you slice them in julienne, thanks!

At my home we make fresh butter so basically we take that butter and put in a metal pot and let the butter soften for 15 minutes and put a clothe over it
It is actually soft and is described just how he hi describes it

Looking at my subscription list, when legit cooking channel videos give off joke vibes but howtobasic videos trick me into thinking it's a real cooking video. I lost this game
