Much better the second time around. I was watching the first uploaded video moments after it popped up, and was bummed that it looked like there was a video glitch. I'm happy for you guys that the footage existed from all cameras! :)
Lichfield Station closed up shop as of October 31st. They were the last ones you could get upgraded QSI decoder chips. For older engines. Came as a suprise to me
Re the Bachmann engines...the second (black) Hudson isn't a "Dreyfuss" Hudson. Henry Dreyfuss was the great industrial designed who designed the 1938 20th century, including the streamlining. He didn't design the Hudsons. BTW everyone knew the first version had the blue stripes, Con-Cor has offered cars like that for maybe 30 years. The blue paint faded so by 1940 they changed them to white (and made the middle striping narrower), so more people are/were familiar with that scheme.
very informative episode... question for ANYONE out there... tangent just recently released some chicago and northwestern cabooses paint schemes... a red version (60s era)... a 1970s yellow version... and a zito yellow 80s version... i've seen the first two versions at online retailers... but where's the 80s zito yellow version??????... did they release that one to the online retailers yet??????... it's sold out on the tangent website but i haven't seen them at any online retailers yet... are they all gone... did i MISS the boat on that one (man i HOPE not)

Man bachmann got the colors BAD on that dreyfuss. For some unknown reason everyone thinks the train was white, it was actually a dark gray as the main gray and an even darker gray for the band and underframe. I have the unstreamlined J3a bachmann made and thats a fantastic model. Shame the Dreyfuss is such a goof.
PIERRE Marquette?! Please... pronounce it correctly, it's PERE Marquette, Pere, as in father, Pere Marquette was a priest who travelled with Joliet to meet the native peoples.
Ken. I don't necessarily agree with Lionel that you "hog" the show but with respect, I would say that you clearly like to toot your own horn and pat yourself on the back far too frequently. In my opinion, you, as a host, would be wiser to pay more attention to your guests and their comments rather than bragging again and again about things such as the exhaust fan you've remodeled. I E --the weight of Daniels three rail loco today. "Listen" ... Perhaps you could relax a bit more and listen to your guests. I love the show but the self admiration gets a tad old. Hope you ALL have a Wonderful Christmas.
@@rbduttonKen’s enthusiasm for ALL different aspects of our hobby is at times hard for him to contain. I can cut him some slack because whatever he adds to my conversation is always relevant. But thank you, I understand where you’re coming from and I appreciate it.
I’m still not on board. I’ve started your videos several times but just can’t finish an episode. I don’t know about ‘tooting your own horn’ but the name-dropping is just over the top. Count me as a wait-and-see…
A good show. Not sure there was a need to bring politics into the interview. I watch for the model trains not political viewpoints. Only time will tell what is going to happen. Remember were most of the model trains are made. Tariffs and shipping costs will only make our stuff more expensive. Merry Christmas.
I wish this podcast would go back to the old way and show all of the manufacturers. I get business and sponsorships, but there’s so many new products coming out each month. It’s boring to only see Bachmann and Broadway limited. Furthermore, as I’ve said many times before, Ken needs to let others talk. Even when video guests come on, he won’t stop talking and let the others talk. He loves to interrupt and dominate the show. It’s sad honestly. I’ve been a viewer since the very first episode, and it’s gone down hill really fast over the last year.
So the model train dealers feel the economy is going to improve? Maybe they should do a product inventory to see how much of it comes from China. Just saying.... get back to us next year and let us know how the prediction turned out.
Merry Christmas to everyone from the Paper Valley Model Railroad Club in Kaukauna Wisconsin!

What better way to pass time designing my new layout in my new home than watching What's Neat!! Great show guys!!
Another great show. The cars Mike brings in are always so cool. I must try to find a few.
Mike. I’ve been subscribed to your UA-cam channel for years waiting for content. Love to see more of your work. Thanks.
I Already have a pre-order for the Dreyfuss Hudson! I'm very excited! I'm glad to see you guys give Steam a little more time!!

Love the models!! Another great show! Love the way you guys say Berkshire!!
Hi Mike , 1958 Chevy Impala is my all-time favorite. Never got to own one, but you never know.
You and me both, Moises! 1960 is a close second. The first car models I had as a kid.
My uncle had a '58 Chevy Impala all tricked out and in red just like the model. Then my cousin wrapped it around a tree😫.
Is this one going to work? YEA! it works! Thanks, Ken.
i enjoyed the show, thanks!
Love Deb and Dave Zucker. Good people.

Order direct. Perhaps your retailer did not order any Zito yellow ones, or they were snapped up before you got there.
Oh, sold out... Wow, that's quick even for Tangent.

You are CORRECT! There is a state park and lodge near St Louis named after Pere Marquette.
It it pronounced as PEER or PEAR? I've heard both.
@ around St Louis we say “Pear Marquette”
