I had to come back and Thank You for Your video! I'm 65 young. And I changed my brake light. I usually do things like this myself. But it was much easier thanks to your video!! 😉🤗
Thanks for a simple but helpful review! One thing you guys forgot to mention is reason why the bulb needs to be wiped-off. I always tell friends that this needs to be done because the oils on your hands, if left on the bulb, will start to cook on the surface of the bulb once it lights-up, which in turn degrades the life of the bulb. If you can, it would be nice to use disposable gloves when installing any time of bulb (halogan or LED type).
Thank you! I was able to easily change both my brake lights this morning before work! I would have taken quite a bit longer to figure it out on my own! Very helpful!!!
THANK YOU for this good video. Changed the bulb myself and it was awesome & easy peezy. Jiffy lube was charging 25 bucks to put in this bulb. Went to local auto zone and got two bulbs for 10 bucks. Walmart was selling same bulbs I got for 6 bucks but I needed to put in bulb ASAP and auto zone was only 2 miles from my place. Some one else wrote a comment here that Honda dealership was charging them 75 bucks, that's just INSANE.
Always try to replace easy stuff like this yourself. If you have to take your car in you gotta do what you gotta do. Especially with newer cars. Just to do a damn oil change they make it complicated
You're paying for the years of experience and knowledge. Not the job. If $30 is ridiculous to you then how would you feel if someone came to your work and wanted you to do your job for less than what you're worth?
Thanks for this video. It was helpful. Haven't had to replace them in a long time so this was a good refresher. The only thing I would add is to try tapping the brakes to test the new install before replacing the cover.
Good stuff, thanks! Be careful when you pry out the little screw covers (ours is 2010). They break easy. So I had to use tape to hold one of them in afterwards.
dec 2018 I just watched the video...purchased bulbs from parts store for 10 dollars. change out was easy. great video and information sylvania longlife #7443
You may need a socket, extension and ratchet. I did my 08 CR-V today and it required a 8mm socket, extension and ratchet. Had a plastic cover over each bolt that you can pop off with a flat head screw driver.
Hello Christopher, I have a question. I went on Amazon and it says this bulb doesn't fit the 2011 Honda CRV! Are they telling me wrong. Im to worried the one they say that fits actually won't fit. Guess I should go to Auto Zone or one of those places. I don't think you're sitting around waiting on questions! 😊 I think you posted this awhile back. Im a lady a little older than 30! LOL just a bit! A big bit! and i am going to go by your video and I'm going to change my own brake light! I don't know why Honda wants to OVER Charge their customers so much for simple little fixs! They're robbing the people that are buying their vehicles!
Best thing to due, replace bulbs in pairs, so if right side blew out and you replaced it, then chances are, the left will soon follow, I replace noth sides and keep the good one for a quick a spare plus it gives me the proper name and size bulb, I keep in glove box, if you get pulled over, you can show the POLICE OFFICER that you have the bulb but not the tool to take apart, you hot to borrow from your friends or father to replace it. Or your just gonna buy a cheap set so incase, then you can fix it, the garage wants $30 for a $1,99 2 pack of bulbs, it should keep you from a ticket or a fix it warning, just verbal now. Just don't have or due drugs so it hives them a reason to search your car, if you due, then you deserve it then. That's a ticket and car search if they smell it or know you. Stay safe and off the dope.

Is it normal for that bulb to go first?
The Philips head screws on my 2008 are hidden under 2 plastic covers that need to be pried off with a standard head screwdriver.
dec 2018 I just watched the video...purchased bulbs from parts store for 10 dollars. change out was easy.
