@@markdee9428 hmm.. I'm not sure now. I think the catalogue shot was a mistake.. the unit shown at 1:38 was a spare one I bought and I'm almost certain the one I fitted was the same.. the P1 60. Although admittedly I bought it for another motor which I subsequently changed to the Clima1915. It refers to the reduction 1:70 or 1:60 with all other external dimensions being the same.. so I don't think it makes a lot of difference in the end.. but don't quote me on that!
I am looking at a 85 mango. Its original and un loved. Is it possible to buy replacement motors and gears from amel still. I am new to amel. How much is a new motor set up any idea?
It is still technically possible to buy things from Amel but a lot of things they buy in from third parties and put a big markup on it (like Leroy Somer furler motors). Not all of it is a perfect fit either. I guess it’s good to support the Amel supply chain but it’s expensive so I always try to source the stuff myself if I can.
I was going to replace the outhaul motor too but managed to fix it when it sent south. I did buy the parts to make up a new furler for when the time inevitably comes though. The speeds of the two motors are slightly different so it would be nice to have them match for easier furling I guess.
EXCELENTE TRABAJO CAPY !!!!!! muy prolijo el trabajo ... un gran saludo a toda la familia desde Argentina !!!!
Great video👍

Great video can you clarify something for me you list two different part numbers for the gearbox VF44 P1 60 and VF44 P1 70 which is correct?
Can you give me time stamps for when the two different modelas are mentioned?
@1:35 it shows part # vf44p170 @ 1:38 it shows the gear box with part # vf44p160@@MothershipMaintenance

Are you going to replace the other electric motors?

Keep it simple and avoid all this.
I dont know anything about electric furlers but they sound like they take a lot of work, time, and money away from sailing.
Tbh I think boats in general take a lot of work, time and money away from sailing 😆
