My gosh!! Me too, that "hello" hits my heart everytime, I love his voice takes me to all the art process with a really good feeling, he is an amazing artist, I love his work. When I need inspiration, I truly try to get out of my comfort zone, new techniques, new colors, new ways to make my process. YOU DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB!! Preciosa y bella al final!! Like always!
First of all, Spencer thank you for showing us that as a makeup artist there are gonna be bad days, we are going to make mistakes, sometimes feel uninspired and that's ok. Its called being human. And I LOVE your humanity. You are an amazing talented kind artist and I enjoy so much watching you and learning so much from you. Don't be hard on yourself.
Hey Spence...even when you are on the struggle bus, it still comes out IMPECCABLE! Remember what Bob Ross said...there are no mistakes in art only happy little accidents. Lol. Bravo, bravo!!!!👏👏👏👏👏
Honestly I think it’s great to change it up when you feel uninspired, I think your new set up looks great. I also appreciate that you use a camera that doesn’t have smoothing effect so we can see how the makeup really looks in real life ❤️❤️❤️
When i feel uninspired i let it run its course, and i like to watch artists like yourself to inspire me, i buy new products or go through my collection to find products i forgot about , beautiful look btw absolutely stunning 🧡
I absolutely love your transparency! We need more MUAs that will post their mistakes and how they fix it! Her make up came out absolutely gorgeous! Also I'm a songwriter and musician. I get writer's block all the time. What I do to get inspired is UNPLUG from it. Sometimes you have to just go out in nature and unplug from creating and actually enjoy natural creation! Watch how the sky blends its colors. Or how water reflects the sky perfectly. Or how vibrant the leaves are on the trees. Nature is ALWAYS an inspiration! Don't be so pressured by us viewers (even though we live for your tutorials!). Take time to unplug! If you happen to read my comment know that you are a beautiful spirit inside of a human body. While the spirit may be timeless, the body needs rejuvenating!
I love how sincere and honest you’re being with us about basically not feeling motivated. Usually we don’t get that out of makeup artist who try to “conceal” how they feel and put on a more “professional” look. We all get there at some point and it’s especially gonna happen in the beauty world, but just know we love your content and creativity. Take time off but don’t go anywhere
U have a right to go thru those blah days, and choose what makes u feel better. We all run thru those days. I really like that this camera & lighting set up seems to show a more natural, versus filter….. Great art work, like always. You’re super gifted 🥰
Oh Spencer, you are so hard on yourself, and so humble. You could have filmed this, not liked it, and not posted it, and we would all never have known. Instead, you put it up for all to see and talked us through what you would have done differently. In my book, that's a teacher, and someone who wants to educate his followers along the way. You are fabulous in everything you do, from your artistry, to the person within.
The lighting looks awesome! I really love seeing your model’s skin and texture. People always think that makeup will cover up texture and look airbrushed in real life, especially when they constantly see videos or photos with impeccable lighting or filters. Thank you for having such honest videos and advice! You’re the best!!!
Obsessed with this look. When I'm uninspired, I don't try and force it. I search other hobbies or artistic outlets and it never fails to spark a fire of creativity. Take care Friend.
I like seeing the real deal. When I do my makeup, there are no filters or special lighting. I think it's better for your viewers as well; otherwise, it is portraying an unrealistic look. People watching tutorials want to learn how to do it, so it looks like they way you make it look. So please keep it real.
I just wanted to say Thankyou so much for sharing your dissatisfaction with your audience when you could have easily just added the powder as a final finishing step and no one would have questioned it at all! Your transparency really helps me realize that all artists, even ones as talented and famous as you don’t always make the best color or product choice every once and a while and that’s okay! We are always learning and trying out new things to see what works best! I thought it was just me and sometimes I get really down on myself and my talent if the makeup doesn’t come out perfect every time. And often creators will omit these issues from their videos to portray “perfection” which makes our expectations of our work that much more skewed. As an artist who has been feeling that same rut you described, you have no idea how much you just including that bit made me feel validated in my insecurities. Genuinely Thankyou so much for your content always ♥️
This is my therapy! 🥰❤️🥰. Spencer I’ve finally adapted to using the sponge for majority of my skin application and I just love it! I’ve also upped my skin prep up as well. Thank you for always being persistent 🤩😍💕.
I will say this is one of my fave tutorial of yours! Your honesty is refreshing, you not glossing over what could be done better is what I needed to see as a makeup artist. We all second guess but no one is honest enough to speak about that. You were! I have so much respect for you and you are insanely talented! And i love the new setup!!!
Listen... You are amazing. I have been watching make up tutorials for 6 years and your technics, tips, explanations, camera and light settings, finished looks and presentation are like nobody else. I watch your videos very closely, pause, rewind and it is always so interesting. I truly adore your work. And when I have such a bad day, don't feeling enything I just wait not forcing myself cause I know it will pass. And it also passed in your case. What's more it provided you to make some changes. And they are great! You inspire. Please stay that way
I totally understand what you mean about feeling uninspired... Your videos definitely inspire me, even when I feel like I'm not good enough. They give me the motivation to keep putting myself out there as an artist. You are an incredibly talented artist. Thank you for your videos. ❤️
I love how you point out what you feel was an error or something you would’ve done differently because for me it’s a learning experience watching you and you drop so many 💎 in your videos. As your subscriber, I think everything you do is pure perfection! 🥰
I watched originally to see how to do her lips, but ended up loving her entire look. Probably my all time favorite. It helps that she's drop dead gorgeous, but the techniques you used helped me immensely.. thank you!
I don’t know what it is… maybe because I’m an artist too, but I could 100% feel your creative struggle on your voice. The setup is great, the look is great but it shows that you sound a bit tired. Take your time, breathe and relax. Sometimes I’m drawing for the sake of it and that just burns me out. You’re very talented, no doubt there but sometimes we need a little break. Hope you feel better soon! You owe it to yourself to feel good about yourself, that’s what I try to do myself.
Everyone gets in a rut. Struggling sucks, but it’s a natural part of personal evolution. Your talent is amazing, and your model looks stunning! Take your lack of motivation and flip it… look over your previous artistry, snd you’re sure to find inspiration. Keep the faith…we love you, Spence💝
I love the lighting and setup, show casing how the make up would look in person is everything. Let’s normalize skin texture. Love your work, so much effortless talent 🎨✨
I loved this video! STUNNING. Also teachable moments which is always a plus. I like how you didnt edit it out & showed us how to improve a misstep which is humanly possible & necessary at crunch time moments LOL LOVE IT
I truly enjoy how you show every single step, every single detail and every blending process. Absolutely love how your videos don't blur out skin and we can see the actual thing going on. I have stopped watching tutorials online because they skip all these but you, YOU NAILED IT!!!!
Hi darling, I understand exactly what you mean that sometimes you are not comfortable playing with makeup. I have rheumatoid arthritis disease and I live in a cold country and sometimes you don't want to do anything but what I do is go to my makeup room and look around a bit or just sit still for a while and then the inspiration may or may not come of myself to play with makeup. I really like the way your lights are now, you can see everything better. What a beautiful look and indeed your client has very beautiful skin and her skin can indeed be seen.❤❤
Whenever I’m feeling uninspired bc I’m very much the same, I try to teach myself something new. Changing the lighting and filming a different way I think makes perfect sense when finding ourselves in a rut. I appreciate the content you make and know it’s got to be a lot of pressure to always switch it up.
I just really really appreciate you leaving in the mistakes you made and how you corrected them ….. you made me laugh so much with the forgotten nose highlight and made me feel better as a human being who also is prone to bloopers on clients !
Honestly I love this lighting. I do love seeing the texture and how it changed with each step and product. It's a bit more informative for me... I love to look an analyze as a makeup artist when it comes to the craft and each individuals artists particular styles of application. It really shows how beautiful this woman's skin really is.
Spencer, your work is as beautiful as always. I like the setting. You can keep it if it makes you happy, if not, then change it. No matter how your viewers feel about it, it is your artistic vision from start to finish. If you feel a lack of creativity maybe there are some things that are on your mind, some unmanifested unaddressed unhealed worries that are consuming your energy, eating at you in your subconcious. Take some time for yourself to be with yourself to get in touch with the kind of care you need right now and give it to yourself. We'll still be here. And make a list of things you would like to create, even if they are just experiments. If you have a list, if you have things written down in front of your eyes, most times you'll see you will naturally start adding things to it without even thinking about it, they just come to you. I will gladly watch your tutorials even if it's you just playing around or experimenting with looks and makeup. It doesn't even have to meet perfect stardards, it just has to make you feel happy and relaxed. And if maybe taking a break makes you happy right now, then so be it. Wishing you all the best, xo 😘
Spencer your in my prayers feeling the way you have been is hard but you Are AMAZING don't let those bad sad vibes knock U down my makeup KING 👑 stay blessed
Spencer- thank you for sharing your artistry with us. From the creative process to the diversity in your digital portfolio. You are a true talent. Amazing work! 💗
Hi Spencer🥰 Just saying, I love your crafted techniques for all your models, and they appreciate the care you put into your work As an artist of the pallets of make up there’s no contest w/a make up wand saying Touché! Thank you for your video!
Thank you Spencer for always being transparent! I hope you start feeling inspired soon enough. Don't forget you need and deserve your breaks too.. Spence are you able to show us upcoming MUAS filming techniques . Like where to stand location of the filming camera how to avoid walking in front the camera etc ..... 💞
Listen, what makes you totally stand out as a make up artist for me is how you LEFT IN your "errors". You showed me WHY I so often hate how my undereye comes out, how to avoid that mistake and how to fix it as best as possible. Because my skin is oily but I'm now 60, my eyes are drier than they were and I can't pack on the powder in the same way as I used to. Thank you so much.
I have to say how i enjoy your tutorials, Love your mistakes and the fact that you not editing All of them, must say as a women and a working makeup artist for 20 years never liked the Havy makeup look but enjoy looking at you work which is AMEZING. you are SO SO Talented and human ❣❣❣❣
I can relate, Spencer. I’m a candle maker and love love my craft. However, I get into a rut sometimes. The way I deal with this is to find another craft that interest me. I like soap making too. When I loose interest in candle making I will put it on the back burner and make soap. And recently I’ve developed an interest for writing ebooks about candle making and a couple of other topics.
Hello Spencer, I just wanted to tell you that when I watch your videos, I feel so at peace. Your voice is so calming and I love that you point out your mistakes and show us how you would fix it because I know I’ve made a lot mistakes with my makeup here and there and your videos just show how genuine you are and it’s hard to find that. I love the new set up too!! I always look forward to your videos and I don’t mind waiting if you need a break. Much love from Pinché Cindy
Hey Spencer. I absolutely know what you mean about being in that head space. I haven't been able to find the enthusiasm to do the things that bring me joy. Makeup being one of them. My IG just sucks for lack of a better word and I have been thinking that I should just take my page down, it will never go anywhere. Maybe don't beat yourself up about not posting. Perhaps if you don't feel the pressure of HAVING to post, the fun will come back? I know we would all be here if you need a break. And remember how many people you inspire. Not just with makeup, but for being a lovely human. Sending huge love and hugs xxx
First of all, I am living for this new lighting! It’s so glamorous. Second: whenever I’m in a creative rut I make it a point to get out in nature (the beach, the park, even my backyard garden). It helps me clear my head and get grounded. Lastly: don’t be so hard on yourself! Your work always comes out gorgeous; you’re truly a master at your craft and I salute you 💖
When I’m feeling uninspired, I focus on what’s my purpose…what’s my goal…why am I doing this. This helps me process my feelings while getting me back on track. As for the lighting, I like that you switched it up and think you should switch it up to match the vibe or aesthetic of the makeup look. I’m getting moody glam vibes with this look which the lighting suits perfectly.
This look is absolutely stunning! I love your new lighting, when we hit a rut in our artistic expression it usually means we need to do something different. You are a true artist, the way you use your brush, the way you paint, and your explanations along the way...
If you’re stuck for makeup videos just think back to younger you and what you would have liked to learn on your journey. All of that is helpful and fun❤️we love all your videos
Spencer, this is my favorite video from you for so many reasons. Your transparency in sharing that you haven’t felt inspired, I know that feeling too well! Also, you just showing your mistakes and not editing it out has helped me so much mentally. As a mua, I can get in my head, but this just motivated me to not dwell on the mistake and focus on adjusting as needed and completely the look. Sorry for the essay! Ha! ❤❤❤
Love how your look came out so daaaaayum glam and gorgeous!!! Sowwy ya not feelin it lately, sometimes mini trips, like beach, forest or wherever you find serene, help as a kinda reset …or even just as you have done, reorganizing your spaces so you genuinely enjoy dwelling in them again 🤗 …I LOOOOOOOVE GLITTER toooooo! Hope ya feel betta 💯🙏🏼
I really like the new lighting because it's more helpful when actually trying to learn the makeup and how it looks on the skin. When you only look at tutorials with lighting that softens the makeup then you don't get a realistic idea of how it actually looks in person. I sincerely appreciate the change in lighting and hope that you stick with it!
She looks stunning. I felt it when you said you sometimes lose interest or feel un creative with makeup even though you love makeup. I sit on my chair in my beauty room and just stay there feeling de motivated and un inspired. I let it be and try to enjoy that time watching tele and drinking green tea or just call my sisters and chat about random things. Once my mood lights up, I immediately go back to makeup and realise how much I love it when I don’t try too hard! Btw, can I just say, you seem to be the type anyone can be friends with you! So humble and sweet. I would love to get glammed by you one day should you ever come to London. Sending you so much love Spencer x
Love ya Spence, thanks for always making me smile. I tend to get out in nature and take a few deep breathes and sit in silence with just mother nature’s creatures as my back ground noise, that tends to work for me. Also sitting by a body of water and just listening to the wind, a pleasant sound of water as it moves along in the river and trickles through the rocks, it’s just so relaxing, also just clearing your mind from all the clutter. ❤❤ Love from San Antonio, Texas
I love how real and honest you are! I feel like I'm in a bit of a creative rut as well too....that's why I'm watching your videos! As a MUA, I actually don't spend that much time watching YT tutorials. But I learned a while back that when I get into a rut, for me personally, it's best to go back to basics and "relearn" stuff I already thought I knew, or just to get a fresh perspective. I think it's easy for us to get into a routine, especially when we're trying to save time. But I feel like your videos inspired me to get back into the studio and play around with some looks. So thanks for that! :)
OMG. You killed it again! Forget the under-eye makeup mistakes you talked about. It looks incredible ❤️❤️ and I always die to hear ''there we have it, kids'' ❤️
You are the most insane amazing people in this world!!!!!! My name is Audrey and I have been a hair and makeup artist at Disney World for 23 years. I could watch you 24/7 honey!!!!!! And answers yes, I get in a rut, uninspired, unmotivated etc... but dont know what to tell you kiddo, but when I get like that, I watch you!!! Your honesty really helps me with corrections, your blending is immaculte, your application techniques are poetry in motion! You are a true master at our craft and perfection in exellence Sir Sebastian!!! Love you babe!
I don't know if you have done this video yet, but I would love to see a video of your foundation routine, it looks amazing every time I watch one of your videos!
that eye blink that spencer does just kills me and cheers me up everytime 🤣
Lol agreed
😉😉
Me too ☺️ I love it
All together now, 😉😉

Yay! This makes me so happy.. skin prep is where it's at! ❤
New to the channel. Love the transparency. I’m not new to makeup but I have still learned a lot. Thanks for the videos.
She is simply stunning

This giving modern day 90’s glam and I’m here for it!!!!
Spencer’s explanation and attention to detail is UNPRECEDENTED. Only other MUA that is this precise is probably Ariel
I love 💕 the honesty and reality in your artistry. It happens to me always using powders to bake.

This plexiglass illuminator is no joke. Amazing ingredients, beautiful finish.

I love your makeup, this one is perfect! Congratulations… 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️🌹
i’ve been feeling for uninspired, and down lately. but watching your videos has revitalized that for me. i love you keep it up!!💓💓💓
Hello Spencer, I just wanted to tell you that when I watch your videos, I feel so at peace.
Omg the skin on the model is soooo beautiful! She is stunning !
I love the fact that even his dramatic looks have a soft & wearable look to them 🥰😍
Hey Spencer.
I love the new lighting. This may be weird but I loooooovvveee when I can see the texture of the skin and such
First of all, I am living for this new lighting!
I’ve never watched a makeup artist who put so much love and consideration into every step. Absolutely stunning Spencer you are a dream 💜
I have been feeling this way a lot ,it’s hard to get over but it’s just a bump in the road and you are magnificent,so talented and beautiful
this lighting is like old school hollywood glam. love it !
You’re so awesome Spencer, love all your work and how genuine you are. This look came out perfect, as always!!
Absolutely stunning!!

Im really loving the inspiring transparency. Thank you from an artist who makes mistakes and goes through it for something they love
Such an amazing tutorial, I really love the camera and light set up with the ability to see all the details! You`re so talented and inspiring.
