Even if you’ve never worked with a dark skin woman it is really simple to match their skin, it could take like two tries or so but it really shouldnt be difficult.
One can be a great makeup artist no matter if one applies the makeup on black women or not. By the way one can apply makeup on whoever he/she wants.

I often thought hair coverings, religious or not actually accentuate features and beauty. They mute distractions such as OVERDONE hair, loud or excessive jewelry distractions. Don't get me wrong I love an accessory party, but to SEE the "face" all distractions need to be silenced or quieted.

It's a damn shame that many black models struggled with getting their makeup done by artists considering these are just neutral colours! I'm so glad the beauty industry finally started to change, and that more artists are learning to practice more on POC.
Yess i feel the same way i watch 90s fashion shows and noticed the few black models in the show look washed out do to their make up not being the correct shade I also think makeup on poc models has started to look better because makeup companies are actualling making shades that fit poc.
Erin Parsons, she's a Global MUA of Maybelline, also shared that many black models are still experiencing this. When she saw that the black models had no foundation on during fashion week, she demanded the other MUAs to put the same amount of makeup to the black models like they do to the white models.
