Looks like they are running an Electromotive waste spark 3 coil setup--I am guessing its just for ignition because the Electromotive EMS is quite dated now but the crank fired ignition is powerful.
You guys are so slow, he's not giving the low on the hot rod to his competition. It takes tons of work to build a car like that. So why give up your tricks to the guys you gonna race? clue less?
if you've watched some of their other videos, a lot of drivers will tell you what they have going on under the hood.

Fily there's more than enough Truenos that were converted for road course and drift duty. There's also more than enough that were riced out, beat to hell and clapped out. After seeing it all, I'd much rather this 86 be a drag car over anything else
I would normally agree being a hachiroku fanatic. But this car is undeniably fantastic. The one big advantage here is the weight. it clocks in right around my 8 6 at 2,300 lbs.
