The Chinese really don't play. They broke ground for this right after they announced it. Meanwhile the we haven't heard anything about the Assent in over a year. Wouldn't be surprised if the project is dead.
Kingston's central government bureaucracy is generally retarding Montego Bay's growth...if there were fiscally and technically empowered regional county councils in place as the island's local government system Mobay would have developed much more quickly with such administrative autonomy...! Kingston's lopsided urban development is largely due to its control of ALL of Jamaica's taxes (to attract national headquarters operations and rural job seekers).
@@sharsasuke01 you're not getting my point...most of Kingston's high rise buildings have rather been built by central government or leased by central government. Further point..because central government generates so jany relatively high paying TOP civil servant jobs those incomes drive demand for high-end high rise condos etc., and in tern attract the headquarters operations of private sector firms seeking the profit yielding economies of scale that tax rich central government affords them. So ...if you empower local government via fiscal/technical autonomy on a regional county scale (to say more quickly maintain public infrastructure) such fiscal empowerment and the top high paying government jobs that would shift to rural Jamaica would serve as the impetus to attract more rural sited private sector company headquarters to in turn spur more rural development. Decentralize Kingston's strangle hold on garnering all taxes...and you will effectively decentralize development and the heavy concentration of people around the KMA/South Eastern Jamaica...
@@sharsasuke01you're missing the point. The central government bureaucracy in Kingston collects and spends Mobay's taxes mostly in Kingston to develop multiple tall government buildings while Montego Bay lags with no significant government buildings to talk of...
I don’t know if you’re interested but just below the Long Hill traffic lights an apartment complex named Lot 3 is being built by Concept Homes idk if you’d like to cover it.
I do not think the towers themselves have started yet... the structure itself that is going up currently is the commercial area. I think just behind it, foundation is being set for the first tower though. Either way, progress is progress and I love the pace at which this project is chugging along.

This project will be scrapped. If it even goes half way, they will scrap the original plans. Make a note of what i said. They will scrap the project at some point and the original idea will not see the light of day.
Why? Do you realize that a chunk of the cost for these buildings will be the foundations, most of which are completed? Floors will get added really quickly and you'll notice the development in the skyline within the next year.
Thanks for the update. This development will have quite an impact on jamaica's image.

@@garfieldwhittaker944 No, the delay is on the developers. They've been given approved to begin construction by the government.
Maybe the developers haven't secure the funding for the construction of the building

The architect's name is not Isaiah. Her name is Issia Madden pronounced Is-cia 🙄

Not so. There is a tower in Santo Domingo @ 42 stories.
Correct but the Pinnacle is one thousand feet, high in the Dominica Republic, there's a fourth two floor high only five hundred feet.

@@shikcheese3234if this were in Kingston the comment above would be a positive one...pure jealousy...
not the tallest building in the caribbean. Dominican republic has the tallest building at approximately 50 floors
The creator is correct 👍
These buildings will be the tallest in Caribbean
This will be the tallest building in the Caribbean
Tallest building in the Caribbean is in the Dominican Republic. The Pinnacle will perhaps be tallest for an English speaking Caribbean country.

Rich ppl thing, them a build for the rich so if u are not, so Jamaican if u rich don't even waste u time to long at it ..
