We visit Pine, Strawberry and Payson quite often. Just to clarify it’s the Old COUNTY Inn 😂 and it’s very good. The surrounding area has beautiful hikes and springs with crystal clear water. Love these small towns in AZ.
Fantastic tour of Pine, AZ! Thank you. Definitely plan on visiting this spring! Amazing stores, especially loved Sky’s! Enjoyed Star’s knowledge on the trees used for the items there. Truly enjoyed this tour.
Thank you. Waking up to kind comments motivates me to continue making videos. I appreciate your kindness more than you know. Enjoy your trip to Pine this spring. It's truly a wonderful small town! ☀️🌵
Yeah that sounded looked awesome, but how you going to be able to eat the cowboy burger after your full with that 5 lb salad???, it probably went for dinner later on???.😊
I have lived in Payson since 2000 and have made many trips to Pine. I have not, however, stopped into the Honey Shop! Now I think I need to head up there tomorrow just to go there!
Like just about every town in Arizona, Pine has definitely grown over the past few decades. Pine is an incredibly beautiful small town which has been able to keep their small town feel even with their growth. Thanks for your comment 👍 ☀️🌵
Great tour. Pine's businesses are open Wed.-Sun. to catch end of the week and weekend traffic. Maybe you can come back and check out some of businesses when they are open.
My stepfather would go up to Pine, Az every summer for a couple of weekends to get out of the heat of Phoenix. ooo look at those dark clouds, they are going to build up into a nice thunderstorm. Also, we used to buy honey by the gallon from local beekeepers up in Washington, it would only last us about 4 months.
Try that BBQ/Pizza place on Main in Payson. Can’t remember the name but it is wood fired and awesome. Wife and I stopped there after last camping trip. Trying their BBQ next time in town.
I believe it's called rim country BBQ or something like that. I haven't been there but I have heard great things! I'll get up there and make a video one day soon and I'll try their pizza. Thanks for your post! ☀️🌵
We live in Payson and visit Pine regularly. OCI has great food and we take our visitors there so they can experience Pine's quaint beauty. Also, drive another mile to Strawberry; another beautiful town. We feel blessed to live up here.
Payson is a great town in its own right. I used to go to the Strawberry Inn a lot before it closed. It was my favorite breakfast spot. Thanks for the awesome comment 👍☀️🌵
Sky's is now closed. The owner is still making furniture and apparently operating out of the Dirty Hippie and may be opening another store nearby soon. Just drove a hundred miles to get some furniture and was very disappointed so figured I'd let you all know!
My Great Grand parents had a home up there. Unfortunately my parents encouraged her to sell it after my great grandfather died. She regrets it to this day. If you have ever heard of Hitt’s rocky knob, that’s him.
I have visited this place and the whole area is very nice . The problem with this and other areas like it is the prices are way out of this world . If you don't have a pocket full of cash then your just looking and that's as far as it will go
I would assume their conservative world view is part of the culture in Pine as I found that to be true in many rural Arizona communities. Political views are the last thing I care about and personally find undeniably divisive. I'm interested in the culture, history, and attractions; everything that makes the residents proud to call their small town home. Unfortunately, sometimes their political ideologies are what defines them. It's true in small towns and large cities alike. Thank you for your comment! 😎☀️🌵
I don't think i would say because you don't see a lot of cars in the parking lot that they don't have some good food you should just walk in and try there food you might just get some really good home cooking style food for cheaper then the bigger restaurants better taste for your buck ..
In my experience, restaurants that offer good food at affordable prices typically draw crowds (unless they're brand new and have not yet been recognized). If the parking lot is empty (during normal meal times) I have found that they are either too expensive, their food is less than stellar, or their service is poor or slow. When I'm traveling, I'm looking for great food, great service and affordable prices. Thanks for the comment 😉☀️🌵
I know, Prescott is my hometown, I've done a few videos covering this issue. The people overseeing the town care more about the tourists and transplants than their own people
@@smalltowntourist My personal favorite…The Kenai, a white base ricotta, house-made mozzarella, pecorino romano, house-smoked salmon, dill cream, sea salt, evoo, and red onions. As far as I’m concerned, It’s the bomb! Let me know your thoughts.
Huel Howser would be proud!
By far the best compliment I've received, thank you. Stay tuned for future content ☀️🌵
I second that!!!

Out of the three, which is your favorite?
Pine, Strawberry, and Payson. Beautiful area!
Absolutely! 😎☀️🌵
I retired to Payson two years ago and love it!

You didn’t mention the Elkies around there! 😆 🦌 Love Pine!🌲
I sadly didn't see any. I wish I would have. I have had people tell me they have large herds in Pine nowadays. Thank you for the kind comment! ☀️🌵
@@smalltowntourist Been going there since Dec. 20, 2023 about 2 or 3 times a month and have always seen herds of elk and also white tailed deer!
So cool. Love small towns. Would like rentals to stay.

Your comments make it all worth it, thank you! ☀️🌵
One of the best breakfasts my wife and I ever had was during hunting season in Pine in 1989,. It seemed to be a much smaller town back then.

They still have an amazing breakfast restaurant in pine not sure the name of it went there a couple years ago
La Piazza al forno in downtown Glendale. Awesome, authentic, wood-fired Italian pizza.
I'll be checking this place out, thank you! I'm always looking for good pizza in Arizona 😎☀️🌵
Great tour. Pine's businesses are open Wed.-Sun. to catch end of the week and weekend traffic. Maybe you can come back and check out some of businesses when they are open.
I definitely want to come back for the fall festival (and some whipped honey 🍯) 😉👍
We visited here and talked to this nice lady last year...we bought some mesquite slabs

That's true. The real estate is extremely high. Most of Arizona is becoming this way unfortunately. Thanks for watching and leaving your comment 😎☀️🌵
Pine is out of this world. People and the place. Even the elk.
💯 That's one small town in AZ I'd love to visit more. Thanks for your comment! ☀️🌵

@@victorboucher675 Thank you! Pine is a wonderful Arizona small town 😎☀️🌵
Everyone should know that Pine historically has water shortage problems every summer. Wells go dry ….
Interesting. That's common, from my understanding, in many high altitude small towns in Arizona. Thank you for posting ☀️🌵
Yeah, I’m full up on Arizona but thanks for the video ….

Prescott used to be like this
Prescott has become overrun with people and the traffic is a disaster. Let's hope Pine doesn't become anything like Prescott.
