As someone who has broken, fractured, and sprained my ankles multiple times (and has done a bad job of rehabbing them in the past), I can say that freeskates are a lot less hazardous to my ankles than a lot of the other things I do. Actually learning to ride them has made my ankles a lot stronger, thanks to using a whole bunch of muscles I don't typically use in my legs. Also, as a sweet added bonus, freeskating has made me better at slacklining - a crosstraining I would have never thought existed!
Freeskates remind me the most of ice skating rather than skateboarding. I used to ice skate (when I was a kid I really wanted to be a hockey player when I grew up but alas that never happened) a lot so I really enjoy freeskating 🥰
Snow is not recommended - the water will rust your bearings! However, Gabe for example has used them in winter on his college campus. Just make sure the pavement is dry, and if not, seek out an indoor location 👍
If you watch the tutorials and follow the steps, it's doable... I respectfully disagree, reverse pumping is difficult to comprehend no matter how many times you watch it. In general though I can confirm that is easier than it seems, provided that the brain gets trained not to throw the skates away. It is one thing to watch someone else do something and a totally different thing to actually do it yourself.
Totally get what you're saying! It's important to note that reverse pumping is advanced, and not really a part of the initial learning process. We want people to know that learning to freeskate in general is doable, especially if you watch the beginner tutorials. For the advanced stuff, we'll definitely do our best to improve explanations in future videos 👍

Wow, thanks for sharing that! Stoked to hear you’ve had such a positive experience with the skates 🙌🙌
"My ankles would explode." 🤣🤣
🤣🤣 It’s the most common thing we hear!!
Don't stop putting memes pls 😂
I taught my friend how to freeskate and before he learned he didn’t even know how to ride a bike nor anything else .
Wow not even a bike?? That’s awesome. Anybody can do this 🙌🙌
@@jmkride yep, i agree.
Hard to learn but amazing to ride! Love it!
Truly! There is no better feeling
I learned how to drop in because someone at the skatepark was like "is it possible to drop in with those?" And he could only believe me if I did it
Showing them how it's done!! Haha nice!
@@jmkride almost fell😅🤣 I'm not that good in the bowl 🙆🏾♂️
Lmao 😂🤣 love the editing!!!
Haha thanks Anthony! 😆🙌

I've seen a snowboard split in two & made mini snowboards for each foot on YouTub
There called "Dual Snowboards"
Great video the free skates are so clean and amazing best thing ever made 👍😀
Thank you! Couldn't agree more 👍
In Haaksbergen it’s not popular but the terrain is a 4 to the 5
The first one is literally how my whole family except my uncle reacts when they first sees those which make me disappointed
Yup! Definitely less scary than they look!
I started free skating like 2 weeks ago. I can roll down the hill now!
Nice!! Have you learned how to slow down?
I have learned to carve to a stop but I usually just hop off and run it out lol still learning!
Don't see the links to those videos you mentioned
Thanks for looking out! 🙏
